Chapter 396: Holy shit, Director Lin also came!

The next day.

2:30 PM.

The groundbreaking ceremony for Jiang Wen's new film was officially held.

In China, people still take this groundbreaking ceremony very seriously, specifically hiring a master to calculate the time down to the minute and second, with no room for carelessness.

The venue was elaborately decorated: a red carpet covered the ground, flowers clustered around, a huge movie poster hung in the back, exuding grandeur—clearly a big production.

And there were quite a few reporters around, with long and short guns.

After all, everyone wanted to get a scoop.

This is Jiang Wen's new film, after all, and they specially invited a heavyweight figure like Zhao Benshan to join, naturally attracting countless eyeballs.

Just as the reporters were chattering away, someone suddenly shouted, "Hey, look, that looks like Director Lin!!!"

That shout directly drew everyone's attention over.

"Holy shit!"

"Really?"

"Director Lin wouldn't have a cameo in Director Jiang's film, would he?"

"Huh? Director Lin also came?"

"......"

Everyone was first shocked, but quickly reacted.

After all, who doesn't know the relationship between Jiang Wen and Lin Mo?

They are sworn brothers, as solid as it gets.

So Lin Mo appearing at Jiang Wen's film's groundbreaking ceremony makes perfect sense.

At this moment.

The reporters below all raised their food-stuffed hands, flashbulbs popping up one after another, making quite a spectacular sight.

Only seeing, Jiang Wen picked up the microphone, smiling as she said, "Thank you, media friends, for attending the groundbreaking ceremony of our *Heroic Youth*. This film has been in preparation for a long time, the script has undergone multiple revisions, and I believe it will surely bring everyone surprises."

As for Lin Mo, he was chatting quietly with Zhao Benshan in the back, smiling on his face, obviously not intending to steal the spotlight.

As soon as Jiang Wen finished speaking, the reporters below instantly became like they'd been injected with chicken blood, rushing forward, almost shoving their microphones into her face.

"Jiang Dao! Jiang Dao! I heard the script for this film went through several rounds of review—is it because the content is too sensitive? Could you reveal what the specific plot is?"

Jiang Wen calmly waved her hand: "The script, of course, needs repeated polishing; review is to ensure the film's quality. As for the specific content, we can't reveal too much for now—just wait and see."

"Jiang Dao! Does Teacher Zhao Benshan joining this film mean he's returning to the big screen? What role does he play in it?"

Jiang Wen glanced at Zhao Benshan standing nearby, smiling as she replied: "Teacher Zhao is a special guest in our film; as for the role, it's still under wraps, but I can tell you that Teacher Zhao's performance will definitely astonish you."

The reporters were clearly dissatisfied with that answer, turning their gazes toward Zhao Benshan.

Seeing this, Zhao Benshan took the microphone with a hehe laugh: "Ah, this old bone of mine is just here to join the fun; Director Jiang's play isn't something just anyone can act in—I'm under quite a bit of pressure!"

Laughter burst out below, and the atmosphere instantly lightened considerably.

Just then, a reporter suddenly shouted: "Director Lin! Director Lin! How did you end up here today? Could it be you're also involved in filming *Heroic Youth*?"

Lin Mo, who had been chatting quietly with Zhao Benshan, heard the reporter call him, smiled, walked forward, and took the microphone: "I'm just here to cheer on my old brother and learn a thing or two."

"Director Lin, what new project have you been busy with lately? Could you give us an update on the filming of *Speed and Passion 2*?"

Lin Mo nodded: "As for *Fast & Furious 2*, we've filmed about a third so far; as for other things, I won't go into specifics—today here is my old brother's *Heroic Youth* groundbreaking ceremony!"

"Director Lin, do you have any chance to collaborate with Director Jiang? If you two could work together again, it would definitely be a major event in the film world!" Then another reporter asked a question.

Before this.

Lin Mo and Jiang Wen collaborated on *Let the Bullets Fly*.

Now this film still has a rating as high as 9.1 on a certain site, hailed as a classic by netizens.

One could say *Let the Bullets Fly* has supported many film commentary UP creators.

Hearing this, Lin Mo and Jiang Wen exchanged a glance; Jiang Wen smiled and took up the topic: "This question is well asked—actually, I and my younger brother often communicate privately, so the possibility of collaboration certainly exists, but we each have our own projects busy right now; when the time is ripe, we might just bring everyone a surprise."

The reporters below were clearly very satisfied with that answer, all taking notes, preparing to release it as headline news.

"Director Lin! What are your expectations for Director Jiang's new film?"

Lin Mo smiled and answered: "Jiang Ge's films are known for depth and artistry; I believe *Heroic Youth* will definitely be a work rich in substance, and I'm also very eager to see the finished product."

"Director Lin! Is there any chance you could collaborate with Teacher Zhao Benshan? Just now Teacher Zhao mentioned he really likes your films."

Lin Mo smiled and said: "Teacher Zhao is a legendary figure in our industry; if we ever get a chance to collaborate, that would certainly be my honor, but the specifics still depend on the script and schedule arrangements."

Zhao Benshan also chimed in with a smile: "Director Lin, you're being too modest; this old bone of mine wouldn't dare delay your young people's big production, but if there truly is a suitable role, I'd be willing to give it a try."

The atmosphere on site grew increasingly lively, and the reporters' questions kept increasing.

After the interview segment ended.

They went through the groundbreaking ceremony procedure once.

Finally, Jiang Wen led the main crew of *Heroic Youth* in lifting the red cloth covering the camera, announcing the film's official start.

Soon.

A bunch of hot-search news appeared online.
