Chapter 433: Cheng Long: Filming with you kid, I

Soon.

Under Re Ba's Weibo post, comments sprang up like bamboo shoots after rain.

"Has Re Ba arrived in Yongcheng yet?"

"Nonsense, didn't you see the IP display below?"

"Is Sister Hailu also in Yongcheng?"

"It seems Sister Hailu has been filming a new drama in Yongcheng for over a month."

"Ah, there's also Zhang Ziyi!"

"Zhang Ziyi and Qin Hailu are classmates, right? I still remember Liu Ye."

"......"

In a blink, another half month passed.

Lin Mo also took time to watch an episode of the show Actor, Please Take Your Position that Re Ba participated in.

How to put it, her performance was decent.

For example, commenting on actors' acting skills and such.

After all, she graduated from a performance major and has been acting for quite a while.

Maybe compared to those veteran actors her acting is still a bit green and immature, but she's definitely better than those obscure actors.

In mid-September, Liu Qin sent Lin Mo good news.

"Director Lin, the review for The Wandering Earth 2 has passed!" On the other end of the phone, Liu Qin's voice couldn't hide his excitement.

Upon hearing this, Lin Mo wasn't particularly surprised.

After all, Morning Light had its name on it there.

As long as it's not too serious, it can pass review.

"Thank you, Sister Liu!" Lin Mo said with a smile.

Hearing this, Liu Qin hurriedly replied: "No, no, this is just what I should do!"

She doesn't feel it's hard at all.

After all, she owns one percent of Morning Light Group's shares.

She now has more money than many big company bosses.

Lin Mo continued: "Well, the release needs to be rushed—first contact the distributor to lock in the schedule, and also prepare the promotion plan early, especially the trailer and poster; they must be impactful."

Liu Qin responded on the other end of the phone, then asked: "Director Lin, about the release schedule..."

"Let's set the release for mid-October; one month is enough!"

"Okay, Director Lin!"

The two didn't discuss whether this film would succeed or how high the box office would be.

Just kidding.

Even if the first The Wandering Earth wasn't directed by Lin Mo, it still made 4.7 billion at the box office!

Online, that saying has been circulating.

The Wandering Earth completely opened the door for Chinese-language sci-fi films.

So, the box office for this sequel is easy to imagine.

Moreover, there are veterans like Hua Ge and Li Xuejian.

"When The Wandering Earth 2 premieres, I might not be back; then I'll have Re Ba stand in for me!"

Afterwards, Lin Mo continued speaking on the phone.

He still has to be busy filming.

Where would he find the time?

He's already seen the finished product, no problem, and he's not worried about the box office at all.

"Understood, Director Lin!"

After hanging up, Lin Mo kept directing the shoot on set.

He wasn't in a hurry to call Re Ba.

It's still early.

On the Chicago side, earlier he contacted Johnson to acquire an old hospital, planning to renovate it for filming the scene where the Joker blows up the hospital.

Such a great scene definitely needs to be shot for real.

How could special effects achieve that kind of realism?

Besides, the scenes of the Joker playing with explosives at the police station, and Harvey and Rachel blowing up the old factory, are also shot for real.

That's not it.

After hanging up the phone.

Cheng Long big brother walked over.

"Mo Zai, filming with you kid really opened my eyes!" Cheng Long big brother said emotionally.

Before, he hadn't never worked with Lin Mo.

As for British Duel, he was the lead.

Like Fast and Furious, he also participated.

Lin Mo this kid always likes to do things for real when filming.

But this time...

Is it too over the top?

He directly bought a hospital, then renovated it all over just to film a single explosion scene...

He could only say...

This kid really doesn't treat money like money.

Lin Mo heard Cheng Long's words, smiled, and said seriously: "Long Shu, you know, I am very responsible towards films and audiences, and I have always believed in one saying: only by treating the audience sincerely will the audience repay you with box office."

Cheng Long nodded: "Indeed, you're right. As filmmakers, we ultimately rely on the audience for our livelihood. Your attitude explains why your films' box office keeps getting higher."

Lin Mo smiled and said: "Actually, there's nothing special about it. I just feel that since the audience spends money to buy tickets and enter the cinema, we owe it to them to meet their expectations. No matter how good the special effects or how grand the scenes, if the story isn't told well, the audience won't buy it."

Cheng Long patted Lin Mo on the shoulder, laughing: "You kid, at such a young age you already have this awareness—no wonder you've come this far. That said, you need to be careful with your explosion scenes; safety first."

"Don't worry, Long Shu. Safety is definitely guaranteed. After all, if an actor gets hurt and delays filming, I'm the one who loses. Moreover, my explosion team is all professionals, and medical staff are on standby on set, so nothing will go wrong."

Now, Lin Mo is an internationally renowned director.

His directing team is also gradually expanding, and they are all specially trained by Lin Mo.

Like his cinematography team, special effects team, explosion team, and various post-production units—all are top-notch.

Only top-tier talent can get in.

So this is also why fans say Director Lin's movies look so high-quality—this is the reason.

In the coming period.

Lin Mo continues to be busy filming movies.

Re Ba's Actor Please Take Position is almost finished recording.

A few days ago during a video call, she also said she had already bought her ticket and would fly to Chicago.

Meanwhile.

The promotion for The Wandering Earth 2 has already begun!

Morning Light is now a colossal film and television company.

Sci-fi blockbuster!

This promotion isn't just domestic.

Overseas promotion is also in full swing.

After all, the relationship between Morning Light and those foreign theaters and distributors goes without saying.

Two consecutive films have let those people fill their pockets.

Now, as long as it's a Morning Light film, as long as it's directed by Lin Mo.

That means it can make money!
