Chapter 516: Batman: The Dark Knight Tops the Global Box Office!

Soon, the hashtag #Face-to-Face Lin Mo Interview# shot up the trending list, and the comment section on Weibo was buzzing.

No way.

Even if you watch CCTV's program online, you can't send danmaku.

As fellow film‑studies students, all we can say is that Director Lin's line 'The camera should aim at humanity, not box‑office numbers' is incredibly insightful!

What a pity; I thought Batman would have a sequel!

If there were one, it probably wouldn't be directed by Lin — everyone knows Director Lin never does sequels!

"Batman; The Dark Knight" will surely break the global box‑office record, or I'll smash stones on my chest in a live stream!

All I can say is, Director Lin is awesome!

I won't say another word — I'm going to watch Batman: The Dark Knight again tomorrow!!!

Netizens debated heatedly.

Now, Batman: The Dark Knight has a global box office of $2.6 billion.

It's just over 300 million shy of Avatar's record.

Lin Mo's fans are also putting in all their effort.

Those who have seen it are all going back for a second, third viewing.

And then...

Even those who haven't seen it are being urged by friends and relatives, sometimes even dragged to the theater.

You could say that in Huaguo, everyone from sixty‑year‑olds down to three‑year‑olds knows Batman: The Dark Knight.

Can't help it — the promotion is just too huge.

It's about to become the #1 global box‑office film!

How could the promotion be any lower?

May 22.

10:30 a. m.

At the moment the global box‑office data for Batman: The Dark Knight was updated.

"Husband! We broke the record!!!

"We've passed 3 billion!!!

At home, Re Ba excitedly hugged Lin Mo and shouted.

This moment!

The throne of global box‑office #1 has changed hands!!!

"I'm going to post on Weibo!" Re Ba fumbled for her phone in her excitement.

She realized she had been too excited — she'd thrown her phone to the ground.

Lin Mo laughed, bent down to pick it up, and said, "Stay calm, don't get so worked up~!"

"This is the #1 global box‑office movie!

"Husband, you're amazing — I can't stay calm, I'm too excited!

Re Ba was excited like a little kid.

Lin Mo was also somewhat excited.

But it's actually fine.

Breaking the record with this film was a sure thing.

Re Ba took several photos, none satisfactory, so she finally pulled Lin Mo into a selfie; in the picture her eyes were red‑rimmed but her mouth turned up in a grin, while Lin Mo looked at her helplessly yet indulgently.

"Batman: The Dark Knight broke the record! The global box‑office champion director is my husband!!!" followed by a string of emojis — confetti, trophies, and the like.

As soon as she posted that Weibo, comments sprang up like bamboo shoots after rain.

"Just woke up and saw this news — all I can say is, Director Lin is awesome!

"Sis, tone it down — your mouth's almost splitting to your ears!

"Now the pressure's on Avatar 2 — Cameron's rewriting the script overnight /dog head/ dog head/

"Holy shit! Holy shit! We really broke the record!!!

"I'm tired of saying Director Lin is awesome!

"Looking at these box‑office numbers makes my scalp tingle!
