Chapter 549: The whole internet is abuzz, the Oscars are about to begin!

Lin Mo and Shi Tailong chatted on the phone for a while.

He had just hung up the phone when Re Ba flung her arms around Lin Mo's arm: "Husband, Oscar Best Director!" Her eyes shone as if filled with stars, "If this is really..."

Lin Mo smiled and pinched her nose: "It's just a nomination, why so excited?" He glanced down at Nuan Nuan, who was gnawing on his finger, and added, "Besides, the director's work I care most about right now is here."

Re Ba grabbed Lin Mo's hand, her excitement still impossible to hide: "But Shi Tailong said the odds are high!"

Oscar Best Director!

What prestige!

If my man actually wins...

She dare not even think about it.

On the contrary.

Lin Mo, however, remained calm.

Because he knows it's mostly impossible.

Just joking.

Given Hollywood's temperament, how could the Oscar Best Director award possibly fall on him?

Even though he's now called the world's top director!

But he's not a Mi Guo national.

If Lin Mo were a Mi Guo national, this Oscar Best Director would already be a sure thing!

If Lin Mo were from Mi Guo, I'd estimate this Oscar Best Director is already a sure thing!

Lin Mo was just about to speak.

His phone rang again.

A glance showed it was Elder Brother Cheng Long's call.

Shi Tailong's call had just ended.

Elder Brother Cheng Long's call came right after.

He didn't need to think; it was surely about this matter.

Immediately, after connecting the call, Lin Mo shouted with a smile: "Long Shu!"

"Mo Zai, did you get a call from the Oscar organizers? *Batman: The Dark Knight* got nominated!!!

On the other end, Elder Brother Cheng Long was also very excited.

"Just now, Shi Tailong gave me a call about this~" Lin Mo said with a smile.

"The Oscar organizing committee, I have a friend who told me that for this year's Best Director, your chances of winning are high!" Elder Brother Cheng Long continued.

"Long Shu, you haven't been to Hollywood, do you still not know their temperament there?"

Lin Mo was also somewhat speechless.

"Not the same! You and I are truly not the same!!!

"You are now the world's top box-office director, you can already stand shoulder to shoulder with Steven Spielberg and Cameron!

Lin Mo naturally understood Elder Brother Cheng Long's meaning.

Cheng Long elder brother's meaning, Lin Mo naturally understands.

He still wasn't quite confident about winning.

Putting it this way, his chance of winning the Oscar Best Director is less than 20%.

Let's just say it like this, his chance of getting the Oscar Best Director is less than 20%.

Skin color, language, etc.

In short, Lin Mo didn't take this to heart.

Afterwards, he chatted with Elder Brother Cheng Long for a while and hung up.

Then Liu Qin also called him, informing him of this.

Then Liu Qin also called him to tell him about this.

The news that the Academy Awards were about to be held spread.

Actually, netizens hadn't paid much attention to the Oscars.

Although the Oscars are indeed awesome.

But...

Huaguo, and even all of Asia, basically nobody paid attention.

Mainly... they also couldn't win any awards.

Mainly... they also can't win any awards.

When the news came out, *Batman: The Dark Knight* received 12 Oscar nominations.

When the news came out, Batman: The Dark Knight received 12 Oscars nominations.

Then...

After the Oscar Awards nomination list was revealed.

When they saw Lin Mo's name among the Best Director nominees...

When they saw Lin Mo's name among the Best Director nominees...

"Damn!!"

"Are my eyes playing tricks? Director Lin got nominated for Oscar Best Director!"

「My eyes aren't playing tricks on me? Director Lin got nominated for the Oscars Best Director! 」

"Damn, Oscar Best Director, Director Lin, you're truly awesome now!"

Damn, Oscar Best Director, Director Lin is really awesome now!

Stay calm, it's been so long—don't you know how the Oscars work by now?

Compared to the Oscar for Best Director, we're still looking forward to other awards, like Best Foreign Language, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, and so on...

It can also be seen from the comments.

The audience still has a fairly good understanding of the Oscars.

They're just like Lin Mo.

They all think it's unlikely for the Oscar Best Director award.

Of course.

This news has also spread across the overseas web.

"Batman: The Dark Knight" received multiple Oscar nominations.

They're certainly not unfamiliar with the name of Lin Mo, this Huaguo director.

"Lin Mo actually got a Best Director nomination?! The Oscar committee finally opened its eyes!"

"The Dark Knight' has an IMDb rating of 9.6, versus this year's other nominees averaging 7.6—do we even need to vote?"

"Huaguo directors will create a miracle!"

"Feel the mysterious power from the East!"

"I love this film so much—I hope Director Lin Mo wins an award!"

"Director Lin Mo, he's absolutely the most outstanding director of the 21st century!"

"I hope Batman: The Dark Knight wins, Best Director!!!"

Searching on Google.

#Academy Awards#

#Lin Mo#

#"Batman: The Dark Knight"#

These few names consistently rank in the top three search volumes.

From this we can see that many people are looking forward to this year's Academy Awards.

As for Lin Mo,

he hasn't been affected at all.

He's been taking care of the kids at home every day—being a professional dad is no joke.

At home.

Yang Mi also came.

She basically comes over to play at home every two or three days.

After all, she's the kids' godmother.

"Boss Lin, any thoughts on the Oscar Best Director nomination?" Yang Mi asked Lin Mo while teasing Nuan Nuan with her hand and smiling.

Lin Mo didn't speak; Re Ba laughed and said, "He doesn't believe the Oscars will give him an award—what could he possibly think? ~"

"That's true!" Yang Mi said after thinking.

"But even if there's no Best Director Oscar, there are other awards—I'm thinking Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Picture, and so on!" Yang Mi continued.

Hearing that, Lin Mo laughed and shook his head: "You're overthinking it. I estimate that although the film got 12 nominations, in the end it'll probably only have a chance to compete for Best Supporting Actor and Best Visual Effects, etc."

"That's fine too!"

Yang Mi and Re Ba said in unison.

As actors,

if they could receive an Oscar invitation and have their own films nominated, they'd be the type who could laugh awake from a dream.

"Alright, let's not dwell on that. Speaking of which, how's your Jiaxing? Seeing you running home every few days, the company must not be busy, Desperate Third Sister~" Lin Mo then joked with her, smiling.

"Not busy—I'm even starting to learn how to be a hands-off boss like you!" Yang Mi said, laughing.

Indeed.

The past few years have worn her out.

Now the company has stabilized; it's time for her to rest.

"See? I've said it before—Mi Jie, you ought to be kinder to yourself!"

Re Ba laughed while hugging Yang Mi and said,

"It would be even better if you found a husband sometime!"

"Go on, go on!"
