Chapter 576: The film has wrapped; next year's global box office champion is already destined!

Time flew by; in the blink of an eye, two months had passed.

Over these two months, Song Wanwan learned a lot on set. She can now draw storyboards fluently, and she can explain lighting setup and camera scheduling in detail. Once, when the on-site sound equipment malfunctioned, she even helped the recording engineer troubleshoot the problem.

Even Chen Xing and Yang Sheng privately told Lin Mo, "Director Lin, your sister is simply born for this job!"

This made Song Wanwan extremely proud.

She could grin so wide her cheeks almost reached the back of her head.

To be honest, even Lin Mo didn't expect her to have a talent for directing as well.

It's mainly because she's willing to learn.

How should I put it?

When you treat something as a hobby or interest, you learn it quickly.

Obviously, Song Wanwan is like that.

"Brother! Director Yang and Director Chen both praised me, saying I have talent!" She shook her head proudly, "From now on I'll be your successor!"

Seeing his sister's smug expression, Lin Mo couldn't help reaching out to lightly pat her head and said, "Are you saying you're fat and out of breath?"

"Ouch!" Song Wanwan covered her head in protest, "Brother! I'm all grown up, and you still hit my head!"

"No matter how old you are, to me you're still a little kid." Lin Mo smiled, withdrawing his hand, "Don't think that drawing a few storyboards makes you a director. School starts soon—have you previewed your major courses?"

Song Wanwan pouted: "I know, I know! I've organized my notes for the acting class."

Yes, she's about to start her sophomore year.

Speaking of which.

Time really flies.

Lin Mo's parents returned to their hometown last week.

Before leaving, his father made Nuan Nuan a whole set of wooden toys, from rocking horses to building blocks.

Lin Mo even said he was jealous of his own daughter.

Because he never got such treatment when he was young.

Even Lin Mo didn't know his father had this skill.

Indeed, affection across generations is the real thing.

After Song Wanwan started school, Lin Mo finally found some peace and quiet.

That girl is noisy every day.

"Robots" has been filming for about five months.

Because Liu Qin often uses Lin Mo's Weibo account to post updates with photos from the set.

So the buzz remains quite strong.

Netizens are eagerly anticipating this film.

They know this animated film is a gift Director Lin personally made for his daughter!

Could it possibly be a flop?

Absolutely not!

It's highly likely to be another masterpiece from Director Lin!

Just thinking about it gets me excited!

"I hope Director Lin finishes it soon—I want to see it!!!"

"It's been almost half a year; this doesn't really match Director Lin's style!"

"This is Director Lin's gift to his daughter—he has to shoot it carefully and seriously!"

"By the way, didn't they start filming Nezha 2 before Robots? Is it still not finished?"

"Hurry hurry hurry! I'm the King of Urgency—Director Lin, speed up!"

"Don't rush us upstairs! Slow work yields fine work—don't you get it?"

"......"

In Lin Mo's Weibo comment section, a large-scale netizen urging for updates is taking place.

However.

Lin Mo simply doesn't know about it.

Because he doesn't use Weibo at all.

By the way, over these two months, "Batman: The Dark Knight" has been making a big splash on the international film scene.

At the Venice Film Festival, it won the awards for Best Picture and Best Director, with the jury commenting: "'Batman: The Dark Knight' has redefined the artistic height of superhero films."

At the Toronto International Film Festival, it likewise won numerous awards, setting a new record for the festival.

However, Lin Mo didn't attend any of these ceremonies; Yan Xu accepted the awards on his behalf, each time helplessly explaining to the media: "Our Director Lin is busy filming an animated movie for his daughter—he really can't get away..."

Domestic netizens teased him left and right.

For example, Director Yan said, "I've had it rough—every time I accept an award I have to come up with a new excuse for the boss."

Some netizens even suggested that Lin Mo give Yan Xu a raise.

In the days that followed.

Lin Mo's daily routine was just two points: home and the set.

He shuttled back and forth between home and the crew.

December 17.

"Robots" took over eight months to film.

The filming set.

The final scene was being shot under tight schedule.

In front of the camera, Yi Wa carefully cradled a tender green sapling with her mechanical arm, its electronic eye sparkling with anticipation, her movements so gentle as if she were holding the world's most precious treasure.

Lin Mo stared intently at the monitor, unconsciously holding his breath.

The entire set fell silent, everyone watching the scene with rapt attention.

Click! Lin Mo suddenly stood up, "Perfect! This take is good!"

The set instantly erupted in warm applause and cheers.

"I announce that Robots has officially wrapped!" Lin Mo raised the megaphone, his voice unable to hide his excitement, "Thank you to every staff member for their hard work over the past six months!"

The staff members hugged each other in celebration.

Just then, a crew member pushed in a huge cake, its surface decorated with frosting depicting WALL·E and Yi Wa.

Chen Xing and Yang Sheng shouted, "Director Lin, say a few words!"

Lin Mo stood before the cake, scanning the group of companions who had worked side by side for months: "Over the past half year, we've created too many miracles, from every glance of WALL·E to every flight of Yi Wa..."

"This is not just an animated film, but a father's love gifted to his daughter; thank you for helping me fulfill this wish."

The venue once again rang with warm applause.

Soon after.

The news that Robots had wrapped spread online.

When netizens learned of this news,

Everyone was overjoyed!

"Finally, it's wrapped!"

"Next year's Spring Festival slot box office champion is already secured!"

"Global box office champion secured! I said it! Even Jesus can't stop it!"

"It has to be Director Lin — an animated film finished in less than a year!"

"You don't understand, Director Lin is famously fast! /dog head for safety/"

"Can't wait!!!
