Chapter 76: The Popular Hundred Flowers Award is about to be held, shocking the entire internet!

Just as The Richest Man in Xihong City was being screened in full swing.

Lin Mo learned of a piece of news.

The rd Popular Hundred Flowers Award is about to be held!

Why add "Popular" before the Hundred Flowers Award?

That's because this edition is different from previous ones.

Voting was fully opened across all media platforms including the internet, video, Weibo, WeChat, etc.

In other words, everyone can participate in voting!

Goodness!

When this news came out.

It directly shocked the entertainment circle!

No.

After hearing this, Re Ba grabbed Lin Mo's hand and shouted excitedly, "Mo Ge, this time the Hundred Flowers Award, if it's audience voting, you very likely could be nominated for Best Director!"

"Stay calm~"

Lin Mo smiled and patted her hand.

The Hundred Flowers Award pulling this stunt, Lin Mo wasn't the slightest bit surprised.

Right now, everyone finds it quite novel.

But in the coming years, it will be heavily criticized.

How to put it?

Before, experts voted, so it was the capital-backed connections who won; now the audience votes, and the winners are all traffic stars.

Half-open, half-closed, meaning both sides win together.

At this moment.

Lin Mo's phone kept ringing nonstop.

In various group chats, those messages frenziedly flooded the screen.

"The Hundred Flowers Award really knows how to play!" Chen He.

"National voting? Then the live broadcast of this Hundred Flowers Award's ceremony, the ratings are bound to explode!" baby.

"Awesome, just hearing this news left me dazed!" Huang Xiaoming.

"@Lin Mo, Director Lin, your Charlotte's Trouble, I reckon you could win several awards!" Deng Chao.

"Actually I knew about this earlier than you all~" Xu Zheng.

Yes.

Xu Zheng had known about it for a long time.

How to put it, he always felt this thing wasn't very good.

Meanwhile.

Online.

When this news came out.

It instantly topped the hot search list.

Netizens were all excited out of their minds.

"Damn, is this for real?"

"In other words, we can also vote?"

"Ah?"

"Meaning... I can vote for the movie I like?"

"Awesome, this Hundred Flowers Award knows how to play!"

"I'm going to vote for my brother!"

"......"

In a short time.

The Hundred Flowers Award's heat exploded, to the point where it could be said to have sparked nationwide discussion.

July 25.

The Popular Hundred Flowers Award's official website officially opened the audience voting channel.

Netizens swarmed in.

The result.

It directly caused the webpage to crash.

Goodness, this left industry insiders dumbfounded.

No...

These netizens are just too crazy, right?

Isn't that so?

You haven't seen how many brainless fans those traffic stars have.

Now they have a chance to vote for their brother to win an award; their enthusiasm is off the charts.

As last year's hottest film, Charlotte's Trouble,

it naturally received nominations for this year's Hundred Flowers Award.

It received nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor—six awards in total!

Good grief...

It left insiders bewildered.

Although, they all know that Charlotte's Trouble has many nominated awards.

But this is too many, right?

Have all the highest-value awards been nominated?

Of course.

Everyone is just surprised.

This is just nomination; whether they can actually win is another matter.

Because this time audience voting is only for nomination.

Whether they can actually win.

It also depends on the votes of the 101 on-site audience judges.

These people are relatively authoritative insiders.

There are famous Big Vs, film critics, and other professionals.

This is just as Lin Mo said before.

Half-open, half-closed, that's a win-win.

In the Charlotte's Trouble group chat.

"Our film got nominated for six awards, how awesome!" Wang Zhi.

"Teng Ge is awesome, nominated for Best Actor!" Yin Zheng.

"It's useless, just nomination; I definitely won't win!" Shen Teng.

"@Ma Li, congratulations Ma Li sis for nomination Best Actress!" Xiao Tian.

"Our Director Lin also got nominated for Best Director!"

"@Lin Mo, congratulations Director Lin!"

"......"

Indeed.

As Shen Teng said.

Don't look at Charlotte's Trouble receiving so many nomination slots from audiences.

But when the final awards day arrives.

Getting two awards would be good.

Best Actor and Actress definitely won't win, no need to think.

Just kidding, you let Ma Li and Shen Teng compete with Liu Dehua, state director...

Best Director also likely won't win.

Lin Mo wouldn't think that just with one Charlotte's Trouble he'd ascend.

So.

Finally, the likely awards are Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, one of these three, or two.

After all, Xiaoyu Ren Yin Zheng and Qiu Ya Wang Zhi are still very popular.

Evening.

Yang Mi came to eat at home.

Also chatting with them about this year's Popular Hundred Flowers Award.

As said before, Lin Mo's rented house is in the same community as Yang Mi, just a few steps away.

"Boss Lin, congratulations, nominated for Best Director!" Yang Mi raised her glass and clinked with Lin Mo.

"Re Ba also said with a smile: 'Mo Ge, I believe you!'"

Lin Mo laughed and shook his head, clinked glasses with them: "Come on, this Best Director, I'm just making up the numbers; if they really gave it to me, I wouldn't dare accept!"

Isn't that right.

This Best Director, if he holds it, it's damn hot.

For a comedy film to win an award, that's really hard.

You can refer to Cheng Long, big brother, and Xing Ye.

These two are the epitome of typical.

"Mo Ge, you should prepare your acceptance speech in advance, just in case you actually win~" Re Ba is still too naive.

No.

Lin Mo and Yang Mi exchanged a glance, shook their heads and laughed.

However, Lin Mo didn't explain further: "Okay, listen to my baby~"

"Eh~ you two are so lovey-dovey!"

Yang Mi pretended to be disgusted and rubbed her arms.

In front of Yang Mi.

Re Ba isn't so shy.

To her, Mi Jie is one of us.

"Mi Jie, go find a baby too~" Re Ba said, smiling as she leaned into Yang Mi's ear.

"I don't want to, I have a ton of company stuff I can't keep up with!"

Yang Mi quickly shook her head.

She is now fully focused on work.

If this bet agreement is lost.

From now on, I'll completely become a wage slave.

"Tomorrow, bring another shareholder from your company to my company, let's talk about the project of 《Eternal Love: Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms》!" Lin Mo said.

"Sure!"

Upon hearing this, Yang Mi smiled happily.

Afterwards, they also talked about the topic of 《The Richest Man in Xihong City》.

Now.

The movie has been released for ten days.

The box office of 《The Richest Man in Xihong City》 has already accumulated to 1.6 billion.

Although, the daily box office has started to gradually decline.

But reaching 2.5 billion in box office is no longer a problem.

As for 3 billion.

Lin Mo doesn't even dare to think about it.
