Chapter 194: Release Your Fury
Qian Shan Hu, Hong Yan Dao.
This island in Qian Shan Hu is not particularly conspicuous.
The true Qian Kun is hidden beneath Hong Yan Dao, where the entire mountain has been hollowed out by the Transcendence Palace.
At a glance, scattered limbs and broken arms litter the ground on one side, while on the western side, nearly thirty cages are packed tightly together.
Inside the cages are various modified Dawu people—some stitched with multiple arms, others with multiple heads—all still alive, their bloodshot eyes speaking of their suffering, yet not a single cry of anguish escapes them, for their mouths have also been sewn shut by the Transcendence Palace.
On the other side, several more prisons hold Dawu people who have not yet been subjected to experimentation.
A man leans against a cage: "This honored one, I beg you, spare me—I have a wife and children waiting for me at home. I have money; I will give you much."
A blond, blue-eyed man approaches the cage, a contemptuous smile on his face.
"Lowly Dawu person, to become a test subject of our Transcendence Palace is your fortune."
"Just wait here obediently."
At that moment, a black-clad, blond-haired man walks in from outside the cave, pulling a handcart upon which rests a large wooden box.
The blond, blue-eyed man's face shows a hint of a smile.
"How is it?"
"Did you get the ten infants I wanted?"
The black-clad man opens the wooden box at his side; the wailing cries of infants emerge, and he speaks in rough Dawu accent:
"They are all here."
"There are plenty of Dawu people—just walk through a few villages and you'll snatch thirteen."
The blond, blue-eyed man bursts into loud laughter.
"Excellent, excellent, excellent! I can hardly wait to begin this experiment that excites me."
"But I still need more infants."
The black-clad man hesitates: "How many more do you want? If too many infants disappear, it will draw the attention of the Dawu."
The blond, blue-eyed man laughs unrestrainedly.
"For our great cause, what does it matter if a few infants die?"
"If we are discovered, we can flee back to Ma Zha Guo!"
"Besides, the dead infants are not from Ma Zha Guo anyway!"
Suddenly, a tremendous roar echoes from above Hong Yan Dao, and a golden blade-light sweeps across, hurling the entire island's upper reaches into the air with immense force.
Blazing sunlight pours into this land that has never known light.
Several blond, blue-eyed Ma Zha Guo people instinctively shield their eyes with their hands, and through the gaps in their fingers they see several figures and a massive white flood dragon.
Shen Qing lets out a scornful laugh.
"Indeed, rats hiding in sewers—cannot bear the light."
Ma Qing takes in the situation, his eyes filled with shock.
"How... how many people have died? And there are still infants? This..."
Several people stare at each other, seeing the fire of anger reflected in each other's pupils.
Shen Qing glances at Wu Nian: "Wu Nian, do you think these people deserve to die?"
Wu Nian says nothing, his expression remains calm, but the ripples in his pupils announce that his inner self is not at peace.
Innate six senses tell Shen Qing that Wu Nian is already blazing with fury.
Shen Qing speaks: "Wu Nian, I seem to feel your anger."
Wu Nian lowers his head: "Is this anger?"
Shen Qing: "Could it be you have never been angry before?"
Wu Nian shakes his head: "Never before; the abbot always told me anger is a wrong emotion."
Shen Qing lets out a light laugh.
"Anger has never been wrong."
"When you see the weak bullied, should you not be angry? When you see the good massacred, should you not be angry? If you are not angry even at these, what difference is there between you and the perpetrators?"
"So, Wu Nian, to save lives, release your fury."
Wu Nian presses his palms together, closes his eyes; in this moment he seems to understand something, to have steadied himself, and two clear tears flow from the corners of his eyes.
"To kill is to save life."
As he speaks, Wu Nian steps forward; golden elemental power begins to surge within him, and when his eyes open again, golden light radiates—he is utterly resolute.
"I think I should walk the path to hell."
"Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon!"
Wu Nian takes a step, swiftly charging toward the western side of Hong Yan Dao, a golden dragon phantom coiling around him like an angry-eyed vajra.
Shen Qing lets out a laugh.
"You've comprehended far faster than I imagined."
Immediately, a great black sun appears behind him, black mist billowing outward; by the time Shen Qing reappears, he is already at the eastern side of Hong Yan Dao.
In an instant, the entire Hong Yan Dao is split apart by black radiance and golden light.
On the western side, dazzling golden light flickers, with a golden dragon phantom coiling—this is Wu Nian.
On the eastern side, rolling black mist surges, within which several roaring blood dragons can be faintly seen.
Ma Qing and the others exchange glances, then all charge downward; a wolf's howl erupts from the cave mouth, and the werewolves join the battlefield.
Shen Qing arrives before the blond, blue-eyed man.
The blond, blue-eyed man swallows a mouthful of saliva: "Whoareyou."
Shen Qing's eyes are calm; he raises his hand, fingertips thrusting forward, piercing the blond, blue-eyed man's chest, then gives a slight grasp—his hand now holds a fresh, still-beating red heart.
Shen Qing smiled as she looked at the man.
"I think you've never seen your own heart before."
The man lowered his head to look at the large hole in his chest, then looked at Shen Qing: "Give it back to me..."
"OK, OK, I'll give it back to you."
Shen Qing extended a palm and pressed the heart hard toward the man's face, only to hear a bang.
The man's head and heart exploded together into fragments.
Such a method directly frightened the other black-clad man so badly that he turned around and tried to run.
"Want to run now? Don't you think it's too late?"
Shen Qing's body flickered, a claw shot out, and she grabbed the man from behind the heart, only to hear a bang.
The man's steps began to stagger, he swayed and walked a few steps, then finally collapsed directly to the ground; that sound just now was Shen Qing crushing his heart.
Shen Qing raised a hand and pointed, the cage imprisoning the Dawu People nearby was shattered, several Dawu People walked out and hurriedly kowtowed to Shen Qing.
"Thank you! Your great kindness will last forever..."
Shen Qing glanced at the several people: "Shut up, take these children and hurry over there for me!"
"Don't get in the way here."
Several people, having witnessed Shen Qing's methods, dared not utter a single word of refusal; the one with the highest cultivation hoisted the wooden box full of infants and sprinted wildly in the direction Shen Qing pointed.
At that moment, battle sounds also came consecutively from the two rear positions, as Wu Nian and Bai Yun had also encountered the enemy.
Shen Qing also raised her head to look ahead.
