Chapter 468

Bloodily crushed by an unknown newcomer using an original new song?

Isn't this just bullshit?

"Uh... it's true, Sister Han Hong."

"The directing team gave us a theme of ancient Chinese style, and it was announced less than three days ago."

"That's why I hurriedly chose 'Liang Liang'." Zhang Bichen sighed, feeling somewhat numb.

Huh?

After hearing this,

the whole room was dumbfounded.

Many here were musicians, and they knew the difficulty of writing lyrics and composing music themselves.

Writing a Chinese-style song in three days was already difficult, but to be able to take it directly to a competition and win against the polished "Liang Liang" was unbelievable!

No one would believe this if it were said out loud; what kind of creative efficiency is this?

Two weeks, and both were original songs!

Just how strong is this kid's musical literacy and creative ability?

Han Hong, Tan Jing, and others were speechless after hearing Zhang Bichen's firm words.

They stiffened their bodies!

"Bichen, then how many votes did this 'Tropical Rainforest' get in this round?"

Tan Jing had participated in "Masked Singer" before, so she was familiar with the process.

The voting results could mostly verify whether the contestant's on-site performance was good or bad, and whether they were in the zone.

Actually,

for such recorded shows, the post-production is always refined, which is why many shows sound very good in post-production but are disastrous on-site, leading to low vote counts.

"Sister Tan Jing, there were 1,000 audience members this time."

"A total of 1,000 votes!"

"He got 985 votes!"

Holy crap!

After hearing Zhang Bichen's words, everyone present trembled again, their brains lagging.

This?

This is possible too?

Laymen don't know the value of this vote count,

but as musicians, the singers were all startled by this vote count, trembling all over.

Actually, every singer has a target audience when choosing to perform a song.

To be able to get this vote count, there is only one possibility.

That is that the song performed on-site by this kid had a target audience of—everyone, men, women, old, and young were all within the range.

Then this competition wasn't luck at all, but a real, solid crushing!

"Teachers, what are you all doing here?"

The person speaking,

was none other than Liu Zhen, the general director of the CCTV 2024 Spring Festival Gala.

It was rare to see the seniors of the music industry joking around here, so he asked curiously.

As the general director of the Spring Festival Gala, the show with the highest ratings in all of China, Liu Zhen had felt immense pressure this year.

Many people don't know,

that the moment the 2023 Spring Festival Gala ended,

a new directing team was born and started a full year of preparation.

However, since 2013, whether one admits it or not, Uncle Ben's withdrawal caused the anticipation for the Spring Festival Gala to plummet, and even now, its reputation has reached the level of being street trash.

Although the show's costumes, props, and stage have been improving year by year, the audience simply doesn't buy it.

Truly good works require content and quality.

The needs of the vast audience are still very clear, so the Spring Festival Gala directors have been constantly changing over the past few years.

In fact, it is also the usual Tai Chi method used by the higher-ups.

As long as the result is bad, they will find a scapegoat.

The national football and men's basketball teams are the same; as long as the results are bad, just eliminate the coach.

Therefore, Liu Zhen, the general director of the Spring Festival Gala, seems infinitely glorious, but he came on stage facing curses.

Prepared to go against the wind.

"Director, have you heard of 'Masked Singer'?" Ling Hua from Phoenix Legend approached Liu Zhen.

As a regular guest of the Spring Festival Gala,

Phoenix Legend has huge influence and has appeared as the opening song of the Spring Festival Gala many times.

Enough to show the strength of this group.

Every opening is about national prosperity and peace, every opening is about happiness and fulfillment, closely following the theme of the Spring Festival Gala.

"'Masked Singer'?"

"The one by Wang Chenchen and the others?"

Although Liu Zhen was taking over the Spring Festival Gala for the first time, he was an old man in the directing circle.

There are only a few variety show directors in the domestic entertainment industry, and you can count them on two hands.

This is not like movies or TV dramas, where there are many rising stars from professional backgrounds.

Variety show directors like this are talents that are hard to come by, and Liu Zhen is even more of a leader among them.

It's just that the job of the general director of the Spring Festival Gala requires dealing with the goals given by the higher-ups and the constraints of layers of shackles, so the true arranging strength of the Spring Festival Gala directors cannot be reflected.

In 2014, Feng Xiaogang personally directed the Spring Festival Gala, but the effect was mediocre, which further shows that the Spring Festival Gala is a hard job, thankless and exhausting!

"Right, that's the show by Director Wang."

Ling Hua from Phoenix Legend had previously been invited to another variety show by Director Wang Chenchen,

and was quite familiar with Wang Chenchen and Che Ze.

"A newcomer appeared on 'Masked Singer', that contestant was on stage for the first time."

"....."

"Yo yo yo! Guess what happened?"

Zeng Yi, who was beside Ling Hua, took over the conversation.

"Brother Zeng Yi, you don't need to rap (take over) this sentence, we aren't singing, why have you developed this habit! Could it be a stress reaction!"

Ling Hua raised her eyebrows and said solemnly.

This remark also made everyone in the meeting room burst into laughter.

Zeng Yi, who debuted as the "Yo Yo Brother," blushed instantly.

Can't I just want a bit of presence?

Why is it so hard?

A topic discussion broke out on the internet a while ago.

【Is Zeng Yi really important in Phoenix Legend?】

And the first comment below made people burst into laughter.

"Important! Very important! Without Brother Zeng Yi splitting half the appearance fee, Sister Ling Hua would have probably earned enough money long ago and gone home to herd sheep!"

Seeing this comment, Zeng Yi was so angry he scratched the wall in the middle of the night.

"It's okay, Teacher Zeng Yi, tell us about it."

Liu Zhen suppressed the smile at the corner of his mouth and asked curiously.

"It is said that a young general emerged out of nowhere on 'Masked Singer', winning against Xilin Yigao in the first battle, and just got news that he also beat Zhang Bichen."

Zeng Yi was very excited when talking, and his dancing description was like he had seen it with his own eyes, an immersive experience.

"Ah, really?"

Liu Zhen was startled and blinked.

Xilin Yigao just ascended the Spring Festival Gala last year, and as a new generation singer, she is already outstanding, a formidable newcomer.

Although her appearance doesn't reach the ceiling level, her singing foundation is definitely among the best.

And Zhang Bichen goes without saying, she had already been on the Spring Festival Gala stage four or five years ago.
