Chapter 946

At the same time, in many first and second-tier cities,

the premieres of The Battle at Zhangjinhu had begun.

And what surprised everyone most was undoubtedly Lin Yu's acting.

The topic 【Lin Yu's acting in Zhangjinhu】 also surged onto the trending list.

Previously, during the promotion of Zhangjinhu, Lin Yu was not considered a highlight of the film at all.

In the posters, he only had a side profile,

clearly just a foil for Wu Jing, Yi Yangqianxi, and the others.

Unexpectedly, Lin Yu's acting turned out to have such depth, which made many audience members exclaim on their social media while still in the cinema.

On Sina Weibo, the topic was also constantly discussing Lin Yu.

The popularity of Yi Yangqianxi, the absolute male lead, was instead suppressed.

The official comment count for Zhangjinhu directly exceeded ten thousand.

"Damn! Lin Yu's face is simply too perfect for the big screen."

"Exactly! He's incredibly handsome. Looking at all the male artists in domestic entertainment, there isn't a single one who can compete."

"This acting, no complaints, it's truly immersive. I feel like a sniper on the battlefield should look exactly like this."

"I feel like Lin Yu isn't acting. Check him out; there must be 'red' genes in his bones."

"Clearly the 'Four-Character Brother' is the lead, so why have I been looking forward to Lin Yu appearing again? The screen time given to him is really too little."

"Yeah! As a sniper, he is proud but not lonely; he has so much personality. In war, a sniper is a completely independent combat style. What was Director Xu Ke thinking? He really should have given Lin Yu more screen time! It's not enough to watch."

"......"

And as the plot progressed,

Lin Yu also had his own iconic scenes.

Especially the scene where Li Chen rode on Lin Yu's shoulders to curse at the opposing company.

It made all the audience members burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! I seriously suspect that this was intentional by 'Big Black Bull'. Any grievances he suffered on 'Keep Running', he wanted to get back in the movie."

"I bet Brother Chen was grinning from ear to ear on Lin Yu's head!"

"Li Chen: Hehe! You kid have today too."

"......"

Whenever Lin Yu appeared on screen,

the audience would burst into waves of laughter.

Those who didn't know better would have thought this was a comedy!

"Lin Yu's sniper is too pretentious, why is he the only one wearing cotton gloves?"

"What do you know? A sniper is a treasure in a company. Many companies don't even have a sniper position. Every finger is precious."

"So that's how it is. Lin Yu's acting is truly deep in his bones!"

In the second half of the film,

as the plot progressed,

it was obvious that the comments decreased.

It wasn't because Zhangjinhu had a bad ending,

but because the Battle of Water Gate Bridge was simply too tragic.

Yu Congrong, played by Li Chen, was blown into fire debris by a bomber while protecting his teammates on the snowy mountain, burned alive.

Lei Gong, played by Hu Jun, drove away with a signal flare to divert the enemy's target and eventually died vomiting blood. Especially that line, "I don't want to die," was so heart-wrenching that the entire cinema fell silent.

Countless soldiers of the Seventh Company gave their lives to destroy the Water Gate Bridge that the enemy was using to retreat.

But the mission was still not completed.

Watching the tanks carrying the enemy about to retreat,

Ping He, played by Lin Yu, rushed out with a satchel charge.

Filled with hatred and burning passion, he resolutely roared and rushed under the tank amidst a hail of bullets.

Seeing this scene,

the hearts of the entire audience in the cinema were in their throats; they didn't even dare to breathe, feeling deeply distressed.

On screen, Ping He's sleeve was caught and pulled tightly into the tank's tracks by the immense power.

The crushing pressure seemed to overflow from the screen.

"Ah!"

The next moment, Ping He let out a heart-rending roar.

The tank's tracks rolled directly over Ping He's arm, tearing it off along with the flesh and blood.
