Chapter 873: Cluck Cluck Cluck~ Brother Chicken is in Trouble!

Just moments ago, Reba had been saying "Ah, right, right, right" with such enthusiasm.

But after Grandpa Zhang's next words,

She was completely frozen in place~

Slurp~ Slurp~

Glug, glug, glug o. …

Unable to respond, she just drank tea!

After Reba finished two large mouthfuls of tea,

She seemed to instantly perk up!

She said to Qin Feng, "It's delicious! Slightly bitter, but you can taste a refreshing tea fragrance, followed by a sweet aftertaste."

In the scorching summer heat,

Under normal circumstances,

Young people would prefer a bottle of ice-cold Coke~

Or other chilled drinks and mineral water.

But at this very moment, Reba realized that tea is the most thirst-quenching and heat-relieving drink!

She then asked Grandpa Zhang, "Grandpa, is the water used for brewing this tea from a nearby mountain spring?"

Grandpa Zhang shook his head, "No, it's ordinary well water from the courtyard."

Reba asked again, "Then what variety of tea leaves is this? Is it Huangshan Maofeng?"

After all, this place is Huizhou.

The most famous green tea here is undoubtedly Huangshan Maofeng.

However~

Grandpa Zhang shook his head again.

He said, "These tea trees are just a few old ones in the backyard. There's no specific variety. Every year, my wife and I pick some, roast them ourselves, and drink them ourselves."

According to Grandpa Zhang's description,

There used to be a tea factory in the area.

But later, due to poor management by the production team, it closed down.

The surrounding tea fields were all returned to farmland for cultivation.

Every household kept a few tea trees.

With the changing seasons, they could enjoy a fresh cup every year.

Naturally, there were no special requirements for the brewing water like mountain springs; they simply used the well water from their own courtyards.

There was no specific variety for the tea leaves either.

But, it was simply delicious.

Grandpa Zhang went to replace two pieces of honeycomb coal in the stove to boil water.

The wood-fired stove could also be used, but it would require starting a fire and adding firewood.

In Grandpa Zhang's words,
