Chapter 488

It was by exploiting this reaction that he aimed to uncover more clues.

Chen Fan felt somewhat satisfied inside.

In fact, he had noticed this point while at the scene.

The corpse's surface temperature was too low; even in winter, a corpse shouldn't have such a temperature.

But no deep autopsy was performed.

"If it was refrigerated, that means the victim must have been dead for a long time."

"Huh? But she's a guest on the show, right? If this guest went missing, why didn't the production team notice?"

"I've watched that show—it just paused streaming a few days ago, and today it restarted. The guest went missing during the pause; it's normal the production team didn't realize."

"Right, since streaming was paused, it counts as private space—the guest had no obligation to report to the production team."

"I think this was a premeditated murder—the body was pristine, all the blood had been drained, and it was even refrigerated. If this isn't murder, I'll do a handstand and shit!"

……

The viewers speculated endlessly.

"? à continue, you haven't checked some areas yet."

Chen Fan gave orders with a blank expression.

Liu Mengyan nodded and went to examine the corpse's private areas.

"The victim's private parts show no signs of assault; we can rule out sexual violation."

As soon as she finished speaking,

Chen Fan handed the scalpel to Liu Mengyan—his meaning was clear.

He wanted her to perform the autopsy.

Liu Mengyan solemnly took the scalpel and, relying on her training, began dissecting just as Chen Fan did.

At first,

Liu Mengyan's expression was extremely serious, but as the dissection progressed smoothly,

A fascinated smile appeared on her face.

And that smile had once appeared on Chen Fan's face too.

"Oh my god, such a cute girl showing that smile is terrifying."

"Isn't that just what she learned from Chen Fan? Obviously his disciple!"

"Laughing so hard—is there even one normal girl left on this show? I think everyone except those in the observation room is insane!"

……

Although Liu Mengyan hadn't reached Chen Fan's level, she completed the autopsy extremely quickly.

On the lower abdomen of the corpse, Liu Mengyan discovered an unusual wound.

"Did the victim previously undergo an Excision surgery?"

Liu Mengyan paused and asked Chen Fan.

Chen Fan came over to examine it.

The wound's location matched exactly where an Excision surgery would be.

And beneath the wound,

the corpse indeed had no uterus, nor several other internal organs.

"Could this be an organ theft case?"

Liu Mengyan asked.

The complete disappearance of the lower organs made this suspicion unavoidable.
