Chapter 530

As for Wang Jinghua, Chen Mo doesn't need to worry; agents and artists have a direct profit-sharing arrangement, usually an eighty-twenty split.

In 2007, Chen Mo earned a lot from filming movies and participating in major events, and Wang Jinghua also received a significant amount of money because of this, making her arguably the most profitable agent in the country.

There is no telling how many people envy Wang Jinghua for being able to be Chen Mo's agent.

"Momo, the Spring Festival Gala has sent you an invitation. This year, two directors are arranging the gala program simultaneously, and they have both sent you invitations at the same time."

Wang Jinghua walked into Chen Mo's office.

Every year, the Spring Festival Gala directors are selected, and this year's two directors are both influential figures in the media industry.

Especially Director Zhang Xiaohai, who is the chairman of the TV Drama Production Center.

The dramas produced by their production center are all serious works adapted from classics like "Dream of the Red Chamber," "Journey to the West," and "Romance of the Three Kingdoms."

If he can cooperate with the production center in the future, he basically won't have to wait long for the approval process and can broadcast directly.

This is also the reason why Wang Jinghua attaches such importance to this Spring Festival Gala invitation.

"I can go."

Chen Mo thought for a moment and accepted the invitation.

Anyway, apart from some minor company matters at the end of the year, he doesn't have anything urgent on his hands.

The Spring Festival Gala has been inviting him every year for the past two years.

It wouldn't be very good if he kept refusing the gala's invitations.

"Then we should report the program list soon. What program are you planning to perform this time?"

Wang Jinghua asked Chen Mo.

"I haven't decided yet. I'll tell you once I've thought it through, Sister Wang."

Chen Mo replied.

Singing is quite good, but he also wants to try performing a sketch on stage.

It would be best if he could perform once with Uncle Benshan.

"Alright, once you've decided what program to perform, let me know anytime so I can report it to the Spring Festival Gala directing team."

Wang Jinghua nodded.

"By the way, Momo, besides the Spring Festival Gala directing team inviting you, you have also been named one of the Top Ten Figures Who Moved China. The award ceremony will likely take place around the Spring Festival."

After finishing the discussion about the Spring Festival Gala, she proceeded to report the next announcement to Chen Mo.

The award ceremony for the Top Ten Figures Who Moved China is considered a very important venue; it is an official award ceremony, and even if Chen Mo had other matters at the time, he would have to prioritize this ceremony.

These matters can be left to Wang Jinghua to handle; Chen Mo trusts Wang Jinghua.

The two discussed a few more detailed topics before Wang Jinghua retreated from Chen Mo's office.

Just as Wang Jinghua left, Xu Xiaofeng walked in carrying a large stack of scripts.

"Brother Mo, these are the scripts screened for this quarter. Take a look and see if there are any you are satisfied with."

Xu Xiaofeng piled the scripts on the coffee table in Chen Mo's office.

Ever since the Mo Mo Company became increasingly famous, many screenwriters and directors have hoped to receive investment from the Mo Mo Company.

Every day, the Mo Mo Company receives a large stack of script projects.

After being screened by company personnel, those with potentially good subject matter are regularly sent to Chen Mo for a final decision.

Chen Mo stood up and walked to the coffee table to flip through them.

He doesn't need to look at the content inside the scripts at all; he only needs to see the titles to know if the drama will be a hit.

Xu Xiaofeng didn't understand either, so she stood quietly beside Chen Mo.

Most of the scripts Chen Mo saw were mediocre. He shook his head and quickly set them aside; not a single script in the pile satisfied him.

Just as Chen Mo was about to finish flipping through the scripts in his hand, his eyes suddenly lit up.

He picked up this script, flipped through it, and finally decided to invest in this TV drama.

"iPartment?"

Xu Xiaofeng took a curious look.

"Brother Mo, what is this 'iPartment' about?"

Xu Xiaofeng asked Chen Mo.

She was very curious about what kind of script could catch Chen Mo's eye.

After all, this was the only script Chen Mo had selected.

"It's just an indoor sitcom."

Chen Mo answered with a smile.

Actually, "iPartment" was originally a web drama exclusively broadcast on Youku, but Chen Mo's appearance changed the original laws of the world.

According to the normal timeline, Youku is now a major player among video websites, so "iPartment" would naturally submit its script to Youku.

But now, Tencent Video is the biggest player among all video websites.

And the entertainment company cooperating with Tencent Video is the Mo Mo Company, so "iPartment" would of course be submitted to them...

Setting aside the controversies surrounding "iPartment" itself, this series of TV dramas was quite popular.

There were five seasons in total, and except for the last season where the actors were not all present, resulting in lower viewership ratings, the ratings for every other season were very high.

It was also very popular with the public.

Xu Xiaofeng nodded as if she understood.

Even though Chen Mo told her it was a sitcom, she still didn't know the content.

She would just have to wait until "iPartment" was filmed to see it.

At dinner time, Yang Mi brought a bento box made with love to the Mo Mo Company.

She hasn't had any dramas to film lately, so she simply comes to deliver food to Chen Mo every day.

Her cooking skills have improved quite a bit.

"Since you like delivering food to me every day so much, why not marry into the Chen family early and become a virtuous wife and mother?"

Chen Mo teased Yang Mi with a smile.

"Pah! Who wants to be a virtuous wife and mother!"

Yang Mi's face turned red instantly, and in her heart, she felt some longing for what Chen Mo said, but she still spoke stubbornly.

After Chen Mo finished eating, Yang Mi held her face and looked at Chen Mo seriously.

"Momo, are there any scripts suitable for me lately? I want to try."

Yang Mi said.

Actually, the reason she hadn't taken any roles recently was simple: she was in seclusion, honing her acting skills.

She believed that only when her own strength was sufficiently excellent would she be qualified to stand by Chen Mo's side.

After so long, she also wanted to see if her acting skills had improved.

"A script suitable for you?"

Chen Mo took a bite of food.

"I have one. Do you want to film a Xianxia drama?"

Chen Mo suddenly remembered a phenomenal, hit Xianxia drama from his past life.

"A Xianxia drama? Is it a TV drama similar to 'Chinese Paladin'?"

Yang Mi looked at Chen Mo curiously.

"It's quite different. The name of the drama is 'Eternal Love.' If you want to film a drama, you can try starring in this one. I'll play the male lead."

Chen Mo said with a smile.

"Of course I want to try!"

Yang Mi immediately replied.

There is no way a script Chen Mo personally suggests could be bad, not to mention she could film with Chen Mo.

She had been waiting for this for a long time!
