Chapter 576

Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui donated 5 million respectively.

Chinese artists like Yang Mi and Liu Yifei donated 2 million respectively.

As for foreign artists like Jun Ji-hyun, Avril, and Taylor Swift, they all donated 1 million respectively.

There were also some artists with smaller status who donated 100,000 or 200,000.

Under Chen Mo's leadership, the entire MoMo Company was the first batch to donate.

And the amount donated was not small.

They were completely taking Chen Mo as a role model to emulate.

What Chen Mo did was too shocking!

He was completely a hero of the country!

They were all deeply moved when they saw Chen Mo's patriotic heart for the motherland; to be honest, if they hadn't been infected by Chen Mo, they might not have been able to donate such a large amount.

It's just that at this time, many stars in the entertainment industry were still watching and hadn't taken any action to donate.

"What about other stars? Why are they playing dead at this time?"

"Aren't they all showing how patriotic they are?"

"People whose net worth starts at millions, why can't they donate 100,000?"

"They are usually quite fast at making money, why are they hiding when it comes to donating money?"

"Chen Mo is the truly patriotic one."

The public and netizens scolded these stars one by one.

Many stars were scolded and had no choice but to run out and donate a sum of money.

There were even big domestic directors like Zhang Yimou, whose annual income exceeded 100 million, but only donated 100,000, which was also complained about by netizens.

Conversely, Chen Mo and the artists of MoMo Company took the lead and set an example, and everyone's popularity and prestige increased a lot in this donation.

Especially Chen Mo.

He had become a standard role model in the entertainment industry.

A few days later, "Empresses in the Palace" aired to the mid-to-late stage, and the reputation directly began to reverse.

There are two reasons for the reversal.

One is that "Empresses in the Palace" is indeed a TV drama that needs to be appreciated slowly; the more you watch it, the more addictive it becomes.

The details in it are set very well.

The second is because of the occurrence of the great disaster, MoMo Company gained a large number of supporters, which led to "Empresses in the Palace" also becoming popular.

It was even higher than the viewership rating Chen Mo expected before!

At the same time, the bad reviews for "Schemes of a Beauty" and "The Empress of China" were also increasing.

The audience thought the TV drama was quite eye-catching at the beginning, but the plot became more and more dog-blooded the more it was performed.

It was not worth pondering at all like the plot of "Empresses in the Palace."

"Brother Mo, 'Empresses in the Palace' is now the number one TV drama in viewership ratings, and the rebroadcast rate is quite high; the online viewership has accumulated 1.2 billion."

Xu Xiaofeng reported the data to Chen Mo very happily.

She knew that with the script given by Chen Mo, and Chen Mo himself starring in it, the reputation of "Empresses in the Palace" could never be bad.

"I know."

Chen Mo didn't even lift his head.

He is currently reading the US Economic Daily.

Now the subprime mortgage crisis in the United States is getting more and more serious.

A large number of companies went bankrupt, and there were many unemployed vagrants who had just lost their jobs on the streets in the past two days.

There were even many protesters.

To ensure the safety of the crew's actors, the filming of "Inception" was therefore suspended for two days.

"There are so many unemployed vagrants outside recently, it's so noisy every day."

Xu Xiaofeng frowned as she looked out the window.

Everyone says foreign countries are good, and the United States is the freest.

But it's the same in any country in the world; those at the bottom only have the share of being oppressed, and only the rich can enjoy life.

At least China won't riot like this; it's much safer.
