Chapter 739

"This is a cultural relic from China, the Bronze Horse Head, with a starting bid of 5 million US dollars."

The host introduced this collection to everyone on stage.

"6 million."

As soon as the host finished the introduction, someone raised their paddle to bid.

"6.5 million."

Someone continued to bid.

It could be seen that quite a few people were interested in this Bronze Horse Head.

"10 million."

Chen Mo raised his paddle directly.

"!!!"

Xu Xiaofeng turned her head in surprise.

So this was the thing Chen Mo absolutely had to buy.

The others in the auction venue also didn't expect someone to suddenly bid so high, and everyone was stunned.

"10.5 million."

Someone in the venue was still bidding, obviously also wanting this bronze statue very much.

"12 million."

Chen Mo raised his paddle unhurriedly.

"12.5 million."

Another person was in hot pursuit.

Bidding 12.5 million US dollars for a bronze statue was already a very high price, and everyone was watching to see what the highest price this bronze beast could be called.

"13 million."

Chen Mo continued to increase the price.

"13.5 million."

The other person still hadn't given up.

"14.5 million!"

After Chen Mo shouted this, the other party didn't continue to bid.

It was clear that Chen Mo would not give up the competition for this bronze beast, and if they continued to bid, the value of the bronze beast would be far less than the bid.

No one was willing to do a losing business.

"Congratulations to the gentleman who bid 14.5 million; the Bronze Horse Head is now your collection."

The host spoke on stage.

"The next lot is also a bronze statue from China, from the same series as the Bronze Horse Head just now, but this is the Bronze Rabbit Head, with a starting bid of 5 million."

The host continued to introduce the next collection.

"There's actually another one."

Xu Xiaofeng looked at the stage with some surprise, not expecting that China's cultural relics were actually all cherished by museums in other countries.

For China, this definitely counts as a history of humiliation.

"14 million."

Chen Mo raised his paddle directly, bidding the full value of the bronze beast in one go.

Everyone in the entire venue was very shocked.

Unless they really wanted this collection, no one had ever seen such bidding.

Chen Mo had high popularity, and many people present were willing to give Chen Mo face and did not continue to bid.

In the end, Chen Mo bought two animal heads for 28.5 million US dollars.

After the auction ended, Chen Mo looked at Xu Xiaofeng.

"Help me contact China's Cultural Relics Bureau, and tell them that I want to donate the animal heads to the national museum unconditionally."

Chen Mo spoke.

What Chen Mo said made Xu Xiaofeng shocked again.

She thought Chen Mo bought the animal heads for his own collection; she didn't expect Chen Mo to be retrieving these animal heads for the country.

……

The Museum.

"What did you say? Chen Mo is willing to donate two animal heads to us unconditionally?"

The curator opened his eyes wide.

When hearing this, the curator was still somewhat incredulous.

One must know that for so many years, the country had been trying to find a way to retrieve the 12 animal heads, but only 4 had been retrieved so far.

This donation by Chen Mo was undoubtedly a very important matter for China.

"If this is true, write a thank-you letter to Chen Mo immediately!"

The curator spoke excitedly!

That afternoon, the news about Chen Mo bidding for the 12 animal heads and donating them back to the country was spread by major news media. ===== CHAPTER 741 =====
