Chapter 85

"The Box Office Battle Between Shaolin Popey and Home Alone, Different Viewing Experiences!"

"The Hilarious Traps in Home Alone!"

"There's No Harm Without Comparison!"

Soon, the box office statistics for the two movies were released.

On the first day, Home Alone's box office was 2.3 million Hong Kong dollars, while Shaolin Popey's first-day box office was 2.2 million.

A difference of 100,000 Hong Kong dollars; the gap wasn't very large.

However, the second day's box office widened!

On the second day, Home Alone's box office reached 4.1 million Hong Kong dollars, while Shaolin Popey only had 1.9 million.

The third day...

The fourth day.

Looking at the box office gap between the two movies, everyone knew that Golden Harvest's Shaolin Popey had completely failed, defeated by the former lead of this series!

Reviews from major well-known film critics appeared in entertainment newspapers.

"The super-cute child star Chen Mo, who disappeared for a year, has appeared with the Hollywood comedy Home Alone. It's still a comedy, a type suitable for all ages. A year's time didn't let that super-cute child's looks decline; instead, he's even cuter than before. Coupled with the cleverness displayed at every moment in the film, I simply love it too much!"

"An alternative comedy; the little Kevin played by Chen Mo gives people a bright look. Perhaps most people are attracted by Chen Mo's looks, but actually, what attracts me more is his acting. Compared to last year, this year his acting has shed its rawness and become more mature! And as for Shaolin Popey 3 produced by Golden Harvest, although the acting of Shi Xiaolong and Hao Shaowen inside is also not bad, compared to Chen Mo, the gap is still very large!"

"Success because of Chen Mo! Failure because of Chen Mo! In 1990, Chen Mo's Shaolin Popey burst onto the scene, letting everyone remember this cute baby. The subsequent second installment even defeated the long-famous Brother Long in last year's box office war, and this year he brought a new movie to defeat his own famous series! This makes me understand that a good series of movies is sometimes not because of its plot excellence, but possibly because of a certain lead actor!"

These reviews made Chen Mo's fame explode again in Xiangjiang!

On the other side, after seeing these reviews, Golden Harvest felt extremely conflicted; they had the heart to turn around the reputation, but could only stare helplessly.

Soon, twenty days passed.

Home Alone ended its run in China's Xiangjiang and other countries.

This time, the overseas premiere had a total box office of 300 million US dollars.

Adding the 290 million obtained previously.

This movie's total box office reached a staggering 590 million US dollars!

And when this data was announced by Fox, it shocked everyone directly!

Because in the history of film development, there has never been a children's comedy movie with a box office exceeding 500 million US dollars.

This directly broke the global box office record!

The record was broken, which made Chen Mo, whose reputation was already exploding, even more famous.

Huang Jinhaian.

Chen Mo's home.

At this moment, the system's voice rang in Chen Mo's mind.

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for the successful release of the first Hollywood movie, unlocking the 'Hollywood Newcomer' achievement, rewarding one system lottery opportunity.】

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for the movie being released in ten countries, unlocking the 'International Film Star I' achievement, rewarding one system lottery opportunity.】

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for the movie's cumulative box office breaking 100 million, unlocking the 'Box Office Expert II' achievement, rewarding one system lottery opportunity.】

With three consecutive notification sounds, Chen Mo, who was sitting in front of the sofa watching TV, immediately bloomed with a smile.

With a thought, Chen Mo silently recited: "Start the lottery."

【Ding! Lottery successful, congratulations to the host for obtaining beginner free fighting techniques.】

【Ding! Lottery successful, congratulations to the host for obtaining intermediate skateboarding techniques.】

【Ding! Lottery successful, congratulations to the host for obtaining a 500 US dollar cash reward, the cash has been deposited into the system backpack.】

"Momo, time to go to school."

At this time, Mother Chen's voice came from the direction of the entrance.

"Coming."

Chen Mo jumped off the sofa with his schoolbag.

Although famous, he still couldn't avoid going to school.

Taking a car to school...

Ten minutes later, Chen Mo arrived at school.

Chen Mo got out of the car, carried his schoolbag, waved goodbye to Mother Chen, and then turned to enter the school.

On the way to the classroom, many students in the school looked at Chen Mo and pointed.

Clearly, Chen Mo, who had already made a name for himself in school, had his fame in school become even more explosive because of the hit Home Alone.

"He's so handsome!"

"I want him to be my boyfriend!"

"I heard people say that Asian men are very caring towards girls; is he like that too?"

"I want to confess to him! What do you think if I ask him out tonight?"

Whispers sounded all around.

Chen Mo directly ignored the discussions of those little girls and continued walking towards the classroom.

However, after walking only a few steps, an impact force came from behind, and Chen Mo was knocked into a stagger.

Steadying his body, Chen Mo looked behind him, and then saw several children who looked two years older than him holding a football and looking at him triumphantly.

Before Chen Mo could speak, these few children laughed out loud and mocked him.

"Haha, yellow-skinned monkey! Your body is so weak!"

"No wonder you could only use some tricks to defeat those two stupid thieves (the plot in Home Alone)."

"Haha, that cracked me up!"

This world has never lacked clowns.

Looking at the few children two years older than him, who were mocking him.

Chen Mo directly threw the schoolbag he was carrying onto the ground, and then walked towards these people.

And these few children, seeing Chen Mo walk over, were not panicked at all, but continued to look at Chen Mo triumphantly.

After all, they were older than Chen Mo, and there were several of them.

But when Chen Mo walked to the side of the nearest person, he threw a punch.

Boom!

"Ah!"

A scream rang out.

Chen Mo, who had just obtained beginner free fighting techniques from the lottery today, displayed the free fighting techniques.

This punch hit the child's body weakness directly.

That child fell to the ground and screamed.

And the other few children, seeing this, had their originally triumphant expressions freeze instantly, and then their expressions turned into anger, and they rushed towards Chen Mo while shouting.

In an instant, the few of them were fighting together.

Other children around, seeing this scene, gathered around one after another.

Five minutes later.

The teacher patrolling inside the school ran over.

Then they saw several children lying on the ground, while Chen Mo was kicking one of the children who looked the oldest.

That young and cute face was now full of ferocity.

"Damn it! Stop! Stop!"

The teacher shouted hurriedly.
