Chapter 89

Mid-June.

Chen Mo completed the creation of The Sixth Sense.

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for creating the first script, unlocking the 'Newcomer Screenwriter' achievement, rewarding one system lottery opportunity.】

The system's voice rang in his mind.

"Start the lottery."

【Ding! Lottery successful, congratulations to the host for obtaining beginner culinary skills.】

Chen Mo: "..."

The next day.

Chen Mo carried his schoolbag and went to school with Mother Chen.

After school in the afternoon, Chen Mo sat in the car home, and then took out the script he wrote from his schoolbag.

"Mom, today a strange uncle sold me a script, and I want to film this script."

Chen Mo handed the script to Mother Chen.

Mother Chen, who was driving, was stunned for a moment, then she parked the car on the side of the road, reached out to take the script Chen Mo handed over, and started reading it.

The script was written in English.

However, Mother Chen, who had been learning English for so long, could also roughly see the content of the script.

Additionally, her son had chosen the path of an actor, so Mother Chen also learned some knowledge in this area in her spare time, and now she could also see the quality of a script.

Reading the script seriously.

A moment later, when seeing the ending of the script, a touch of surprise appeared on Mother Chen's face.

"Momo, who sold this script to you? How much money?"

Mother Chen asked.

"One thousand US dollars, I don't know the person who sold me the script."

Chen Mo said.

Hearing Chen Mo's words, Mother Chen nodded.

"Alright, wait until tonight, I'll discuss it with your dad."

After saying this, Mother Chen continued driving.

Soon, time reached the evening, and Chen's father, who had been busy all day, returned home.

During mealtime, Mother Chen took out the script and handed it to Chen's father, and then told him about the origin of the script and the matter of Momo wanting to film this script.

After Chen's father took the script and looked at it, he nodded and said: "If our son wants to film it, then film it; his luck has never been bad, and I've read the script, it's very good; maybe he can even make a big profit."

Mother Chen said: "But we don't know people in this area."

Chen's father rolled his eyes at Mother Chen and said: "Stupid woman, how do we not know? The Fox movie company that cooperated with us before, just go find them, same as Shaolin Popey before, we will invest a portion."

Mother Chen's eyebrows stood up instantly!

"Hey! Good for you, Chen Guohua! Who are you calling a stupid woman! Staying outside for too long, you've grown bold!"

Chen's father: "..."

Chen's father and Mother Chen made a decision.

Then on Saturday of this week, Chen Mo's family drove directly to Fox.

After arriving at the company, because Chen Mo had cooperated with Fox before, plus Chen Mo's fame, the family of three met with Fox's senior executives very quickly.

"Hehe, Mr. Chen, Ms. Chen, and the cute little guy, did you come here because you changed your mind? Want to perform in Home Alone 2?"

Fox's senior executive thought Chen Mo's family had changed their minds, so after meeting, he spoke with a smile.

However, Chen's father took out a script from his briefcase.

"Sir, you misunderstood; we brought a script this time, my son wants to perform in this script, don't know if you Fox have this intention?"

Hearing Chen's father's words, Fox's senior executive was stunned instantly.

He subconsciously took the script, and then opened it to read.

After reading for a moment, his expression began to become solemn, and when seeing the ending of the script, a touch of surprise appeared in his eyes instantly.

This script quality is very high! Especially the reversal at the very end, it is simply the finishing touch! It directly raised this script to a height!

If there is a suitable actor!

This movie can make money!

Confirming that this movie can make money, a warm smile bloomed on Fox's senior executive's face instantly.

As a businessman, no one would go against money.

"Don't know how Mr. Chen wants to cooperate?"

Fox's senior executive asked with a smile.

Chen's father said: "We will take out 600,000 US dollars for investment, additionally Chen Mo's salary will be converted into a share, that is, our investment plus Chen Mo's box office share, by the way, the script was also provided by us, adding all these odds and ends together, we want a 40% share."

Hearing Chen's father's words, Fox's senior executive frowned and said: "Mr. Chen, this share is too high! This script is a dual-lead, besides Chen Mo as the lead, I also need a big-name lead and a designated director, these expenses will cost 10 million US dollars, I can only give you a 25% share at most."

"35% share, if you don't agree, I can only go find Universal Pictures; they have been contacting Chen Mo recently."

"Damn Universal Pictures! Alright! 35%..."

Fox's senior executive cursed, reached out his hand and said.

Chen's father also reached out his hand with a smile.

The two shook hands.

Next, Fox's senior executive side immediately sent people to draft the contract.

After the contract was drafted, both sides signed the contract.

After the contract was signed, Fox's senior executive side immediately launched a meeting with the script of The Sixth Sense.

At the meeting, everyone discussed which director and lead to find.

After an hour of discussion, they finally decided to invite director Rael.

This director is famous for filming horror-themed movies, and his horror-themed movies are not just horror, but also contain many other meanings.

And the other lead will be played by an actor named Bruce Willis.

The movie Die Hard that this actor performed in last year gave him a certain fame in Hollywood.

In the future, he can be said to be one of the toughest action stars in Hollywood.

After confirming the director and the other lead, Fox sent invitations to both, and at the same time started to assemble the film crew.

They are preparing to film this movie early, trying to release it on Wan Shengjie!

Now it is mid-June, there are still more than four months until Wan Shengjie, the time is very tight, must seize the time.

So in the next few days, Fox worked overtime to establish the film crew and recruit actors.

Time reached the end of June, and after ten days, the establishment of the film crew and the invitation of the leads were basically completed.

However, just when everyone was preparing to start filming, they suddenly discovered a problem that no one had noticed.

That is, Chen Mo is Chinese, and for an Asian child, then Chen Mo's family in the play must also be Asian.

And they actually found a white person to play Chen Mo's mother.

There was no way, the film crew could only film other people's scenes first, while re-recruiting actors.

Chen Mo saw the film crew re-recruiting actors, and instantly thought of his master Mei Yanfang.

Call his master over to be the mother in this play.

Thinking of this, Chen Mo told Mother Chen, and Mother Chen found the director.

The director checked Mei Yanfang's information and immediately made the decision that Mei Yanfang could come to perform.

Having obtained the director's confirmation, Mother Chen immediately called and contacted Mei Yanfang, who was far away in Xiangjiang.
