Chapter 96

Just when Chen Mo was looking forward to the arrival of the Golden Globe Awards, Fox, the Home Alone 2 produced today, also started a promotional plan.

After all, Christmas is coming soon.

As a family comedy movie, naturally, it cannot miss the Christmas slot.

Under Fox's promotion, time passed day by day.

Soon, time reached Christmas.

On that day, Home Alone 2 was released; because Chen Mo starred in the previous one, the name Home Alone was made famous, so many people bought the film to watch.

After watching, the audience walked out.

Although in the process of watching the movie, some shots still made them laugh out loud, but it felt like something was missing.

Unable to find the feeling of watching the first one for the first time!

This second one is like reheating leftovers!

There is another point, and that is the lead actor was changed!

So next, the box office of Home Alone began to be somewhat underwhelming.

The first-day box office was 3.3 million US dollars, the second day became 2 million-plus, and the third day remained at 2 million-plus.

Just like this, it continued until it was removed; the final box office of this play was only 48 million US dollars, and after removing the share with the cinema, it was just breaking even.

Compared to the first one, the result was too much worse!

Soon, time reached '93.

The third year since Chen Mo was reborn, compared to when he just traveled back, Chen Mo is now seven years old!

The height that was originally less than one meter has now grown to 1.2 meters.

The facial features also don't look as cute as at the beginning, but have become delicate, and already carry some of a boy's handsomeness!

Although he shed his cuteness, Chen Mo's charm did not decrease, but instead increased a few points!

February 3rd, '93.

This day, Chen Mo got up early in the morning, then changed into a custom-made small suit, and put hair gel on his head.

After dressing up, Chen Mo left home together with bodyguard Zhou Baoguo.

Zhou Baoguo drove on the road, while Chen Mo sat in the back row.

Today is the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, and Chen Mo, as a nominee for Best Comedy Actor, was naturally invited.

Soon, Zhou Baoguo drove and took Chen Mo to the gathering point of the Home Alone film crew.

After chatting with the staff and actors in the film crew for a while, everyone sat in the car together and set off towards the awards ceremony.

After arriving at the awards ceremony scene, Chen Mo saw many media reporters outside holding cameras and frantically taking pictures, while some guests and actors participating in the awards ceremony were posing one by one walking the red carpet.

Among them, a bold female star was even wearing an almost transparent outfit, which was very eye-catching!

"Alright, it's our turn to appear."

Director Chris Columbus said to everyone.

After saying this, he was the first to get off the car, and following closely behind was Chen Mo, then the actors who played the two stupid thieves.

The group walked towards the red carpet in a mighty manner.

"Wow! They're here! They're here!"

"Momo! I love you! I love you!"

"Momo! You are so cute! Can you be my boyfriend?"

Exclamations rang out... mixed with the voices of a few little girls in the middle.

Hearing this sound, the reporters around laughed out loud.

Then everyone walked on the red carpet towards the awards ceremony scene.

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for walking the red carpet for the first time, unlocking the 'Red Carpet Newcomer' achievement, rewarding one system lottery opportunity.】

The system's voice rang in Chen Mo's mind at this time.

Chen Mo's mouth corners lifted slightly, with a smile hanging on his face.

And it just so happened that a reporter took a picture of this scene and published it in the newspaper the next day.

This newspaper doesn't know how many little girls cut it out and pasted it in their bedrooms.

The topic has drifted a bit far.

On the awards ceremony side, Chen Mo and everyone entered the interior.

Then they found their seats and sat down.

After sitting down, Chen Mo saw many people casting curious and complex gazes.

Regarding the gazes of these people, Chen Mo can also understand; after all, there are many people who, even if they struggle for a lifetime, may not necessarily obtain his current fame and achievements.

"Little Chen Mo, any filming plans lately?"

At this time, director Chris Columbus's voice came from beside him.

"None, Uncle Director."

Chen Mo said.

Towards Chris Columbus, Chen Mo is still quite grateful; after all, for the Home Alone audition, if it wasn't for Chris Columbus's agreement, he wouldn't have been able to perform in Home Alone.

"Recently I'm preparing to make Home Alone 3, want to come and play?"

Chris Columbus asked with a smile.

After hearing this, Chen Mo pondered for a while and then shook his head and smiled: "Uncle Director, my mom said I've been filming for too long lately, my learning progress has been delayed, so during this time I need to study well at school."

Chen Mo is refusing in a roundabout way.

Although he is grateful to Chris Columbus, on some matters, Chen Mo still needs to stick to his own plans.

The Home Alone series is indeed not bad, but now it no longer fits his market value.

And the quality of the subsequent installments is getting worse and worse; if he performs, although he can improve the quality and box office, this is also squeezing his own fame and status.

If you film too many bad movies, you can't turn over!

Hearing Chen Mo's words, Chris Columbus smiled and didn't say anything more.

Soon, the Golden Globe Awards ceremony began.

First, two hosts went on stage to tease the nominated guests, then it was some invited singers going on stage to perform.

What made Chen Mo feel somewhat surprised was that his apprentice Will was also among the invited singers.

But then Chen Mo thought that it seems like at this year's Grammy Awards, Will won the Grammy for Best Rap Artist.

Soon, the performance ended.

Next was the formal awards segment.

Starting from the awards with the lowest gold content, time passed bit by bit.

Soon, time reached the award for which Chen Mo was nominated.

"The winner of this year's Best Comedy Actor is..."

The host elongated the sound, deliberately keeping them in suspense.

The nominees below, including Chen Mo, were all staring at the host with their eyes.
