Chapter 212: Unprecedented Golden Globe Nominations!

As the 2008 Time magazine cover person, Xu Can this year, though not quite ruling Hollywood, had at least become Hollywood's most dazzling figure.

Starting with "La La Land" at the beginning of the year, then "Spider-Man 2" in the summer slot, and "Love and Other Drugs" in the Christmas slot,

the films Xu Can starred in led from the start of the year all the way to the end.

If you add in "The Dark Knight Rises," which he wrote and produced, his 2008 achievements were simply terrifying to all his peers!

When the Golden Globe nominations were announced, it had virtually already become Xu Can fighting himself.

Director Steven Spielberg, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award nomination, sighed in a media interview:

"Come to think of it, is this the first time something like this has happened at the Golden Globes?"

"Different works by the same actor all getting nominations — in my memory, I've never seen that."
