Chapter 299

This is clearly a one-way ticket with no return!

……

The Howling Commandos' 6 paratroopers landed successfully, and in a mountain cabin amid heavy snow, they successfully linked up with the 4 elite strike-team members of "Task Force Woodpecker"!

After defeating a squad of Hydra soldiers who had surrounded them, Captain America rescued his good brother Bucky.

"Do any of you have cookies on you?"

Bucky looked at Rogers and laughed, speaking weakly.

Task Force Woodpecker 4 had stayed in the mountain cabin for three months with no supplies, and by now they were on the verge of death.

The war wasn't over; they always remembered their mission, evading enemy pursuit, waiting for new combat orders!

At last, the two sides linked up, and the operation retained a sliver of hope.

The Howling Commandos, expanded to 10 members, prepared to assault the Hydra base and destroy the superweapon!

They stepped onto their skis and, under cover of night, swiftly slid down from the mountaintop, infiltrating the Hydra base.

This segment employed quite mature spydercam tracking cinematography technology,

The audience felt as though they were actually skiing, brimming with tension and excitement!

When the Howling Commandos arrived nearby, they discovered Hydra had already grown wary, with defensive forces layered three deep inside and out!

The original infiltration plan failed; Steve Rogers observed through binoculars for a while, then decided to travel across the river's surface.

In the bitter winter cold, the river's surface had frozen, yet it was also fraught with danger. 【】

The Howling Commandos had no choice but to risk their lives, choosing this sole method.

"We go across the river's surface. To avoid alerting the enemy, we leave the ski suits and gear here and retrieve them when we retreat."

"If we can make it back alive…"

Captain America's words carried a tone of absolute resolve.

Because Captain America had memorized the factory blueprints in advance, though it was his first time here, he was utterly familiar with it, and he directed the squad to infiltrate without mishap.

Throughout the entire process, the audience in the theater held their breath, afraid that even a loud exhale from themselves would expose the protagonists' position.

After silently taking out the guards in the dark, the squad arrived at the Hydra base's core location.

The blue Tesseract was glowing right here, and the entire theater was bathed in blue!

After subduing the lab-coat researchers, Captain America led the squad members to plant explosives and destroy this laboratory.

And he took the Tesseract, placing it into a specialized device.

To avoid variables, Captain America deliberately cut the 2-minute explosive fuse down to 30 seconds.

"You go first. I'll detonate it."

Bucky didn't try to dissuade him; he just nodded and led the team away.

After the Howling Commandos members had left, Captain America lit the fuse and was preparing to retreat, only to encounter the Red Skull before his mutation.

30-second countdown!

Amid the audience's tension, Captain America, with calculation precise to the extreme, relied on his shield to cleanly and decisively take out the guards with rebounds,

And at the critical moment, knocked over the Red Skull with a juggling-like posture, successfully escaping the scene.

Boom!

The explosion swiftly engulfed the laboratory, and the Howling Commandos members swiftly slid down on their skis!

Just as they were worrying about Captain America, Captain America likewise appeared beside them!

Mission 950 successful!

The Tesseract was recovered, the Hydra laboratory destroyed!

Yet as everyone was celebrating, the mutated Red Skull caught up to Captain America; the explosion had already blown his face away, leaving only red skin and bone.

The Red Skull piloted a Stuka bomber in an attack, the machine gun instantly tearing the Howling Commandos members apart and knocking Bucky off a cliff.

Captain America used the terrain to leap onto the plane and engage the Red Skull in a perilous boss battle.

In the end, Captain America successfully defeated the Red Skull, using the Space Stone to vaporize him,

But the plane was already damaged; he could only pilot it crashing into the Arctic Ocean.

"The 8 o'clock dance—you can't be late." Over the radio, Carter was already sobbing uncontrollably.

"I still don't know how to dance. I'm afraid I'll step on your…"

The radio went dead; the plane crashed.

……

When Steve Rogers woke up, he found himself in a hospital ward.

But the details exposed something off; he knocked out the guards and burst out of the strange room, and 21st-century New York's Times Square left him dumbfounded!

At the same time, a fat black man wearing an eye patch came up to Steve Rogers.

When Samuel Jackson appeared, the Marvel fans in the theater couldn't help but burst into cheers!

Everyone knew this man was the Director of S. H. I. E. L. D., Mother of God侠, Nick Fury!

His appearance meant Xu Can's "Chouzhelian Alliance" was not far off!

"Captain, I'm sorry for this clumsy performance, but you'd better accept all of this."

"Accept what?"

"You've been asleep for nearly 70 years… are you all right?"

"I'm fine, it's just—I have a date."

The film came to an abrupt end!

【A Russo Brothers Directing Work】

【produced by 【Studio Name】 Pictures】

【Screenplay by Xu Can】

【Starring: Steve Rogers…】

……

"How does it feel?" Xu Can glanced at Emma Stone beside him, who was deep in thought.

"Emmm… not bad, just not as good as Spider-Man 2."

Emma Stone said, looking troubled.

"Then what score would you give it?"

"Out of ten, I'd give it a 9…"

"And you still don't think it's good?" Xu Can felt he'd been played by Rocky.

"It is good." Rocky looked at Xu Can with admiring eyes.

"But any film you star in or direct is a 10 in my heart."

……

P. S. Regarding the prototype story, you can refer to the Bilibili uploader "Meme Jellyfish" video on the Battle of Heavy Water.

It tells the legend of the Swallow Squad in real history — the video is pretty热血, comparable to a blockbuster..
