Chapter 393: Hollywood Party, Xu Can's First Shot

"Welcome-to-Hollywood, on this last day of 2009, welcome to a grand Hollywood event!"

"We can see that at the Beverly Hills Shanzhuang hotel, the Xinghe Yulenian Society has begun admitting guests!"

"Just walking in is Tang Mu Kelusi and his wife Katie… David Beckham and his wife are also here; they were invited as Xu Can's neighbors."

"We can see, also from 'Fast & Furious 4,' Gizele, Gal Gadot!"

"Anne Hathaway, who just finished filming 'Alice in Wonderland,' has also arrived at the scene! Rumor has it she and Xu Can have been on a few suspected dates…"

It clearly wasn't some social event, nor a major awards ceremony.

The CBS Television Network of the Guangbo Company's entertainment channel still dispatched a news van and reporters to broadcast live on the scene.

The annual meeting hosted by Xinghe Entertainment, the red-carpet live broadcast actually maintained a 0.5% viewership rating,

from which one can see ordinary Americans are still pretty idle.

The CBS reporters were just like gossip tabloids, sharing every celebrity's juicy news as they appeared.

"Kristen Stewart, reportedly she will be participating in Xu Can's new film 'X-Cop,' her specific role unknown…"

"Whoa, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dwayne Johnson are both here—will Xu Can arrange these two big guys into a superhero movie?"

"Also the rising new singers in the pop music scene, Ariana, Lana Del Rey, Carly… this trio signed to Xinghe Records, each released a new album this year, with remarkable results!"

"Thinking carefully, Xu Can's Xinghe Entertainment isn't just sweeping Hollywood with films, its achievements in pop music are actually considerable too! Truly terrifying!"

The brilliance of Xu Can's films was so dazzling that it almost made people forget the rising new stars in the music scene.

Taylor Swift needs no further elaboration—she already exists as a pop music little diva.

The explosive popularity of songs like "The Way," "Call Me Maybe," and "Summertime Sadness,"

also let Xinghe Music occupy an undeniable position in pop music!

Especially Carly's "Call Me Maybe," after the single was released in September 2009,

that week it rocketed to the top of the singles charts in Australia, the UK, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, New Zealand, Britain, and North America itself, among many other countries!

It held the number-one spot on the Billboard chart for 9 consecutive weeks! A viral sensation across the entire internet!

YouTube was full of cover videos of this song, and every street and alley was playing this catchy tune—addictively earwormy!

That single song alone brought Xu Can at least an 8-figure profit!

TayTay was a bit green with envy, planning to focus on songwriting in 2010 and release her fourth album "Red" as soon as possible, to reclaim the Billboard champion's spot!

Finally, after a stream of stars walked the red carpet in succession, the most important guest arrived fashionably late.

When Xu Can stepped onto the red carpet hand-in-hand with Taylor Swift, Emma Stone, and Scarlett Johansson, the surrounding reporters and onlookers all erupted!

"Ahhhhh! Xu Can is so handsome!"

"Spiderman!"

Xu Can was seen with a sunny smile on his face, waving and interacting with the surrounding fans and reporters.
