Chapter 226

Wang Zhangdian even lent his own set of equipment to Qin Yu, while Yu Dong and Zhao Ting made it clear...

that they would fully support Qin Yu when the time came.

Regarding the screening schedule, they signed a contract that was hard for Qin Yu to refuse.

Wang Zhonglei and Wu Kebo were furious; they had originally planned to join forces with Wang Zhangdian to sanction Yu Dong and Zhao Ting.

They hadn't expected Wang Zhangdian to defect and sell them out.

He turned around and cooperated with the two theater chains.

Directly kicking Huayi and Orange Sky out of the game.

The three of them split the investment equally.

Truly spectacular, quite a show.

Qin Yu had originally thought the three production companies would be the ones to take it.

He hadn't expected...

"Brother Wang, aren't you afraid that Wang Zhongjun and Wu Kebo will come for you? You really deceived them badly this time."

"Brother Qin, you don't understand; this is called business wisdom."

Wang Zhangdian didn't feel embarrassed at all; instead, he was quite proud.

"Wang Zhonglei is a fool; if his brother had come, it would be a different story. I reached an agreement with the two bosses early on."

"That guy didn't see it coming."

Hearing this, Qin Yu was surprised.

In the lounge, Wang Zhangdian had cursed Yu Dong and the other guy quite harshly; he hadn't expected it to be an act.

Damn, he truly lived up to his reputation as a famous old fox in the circle.

Wang Zhonglei and Wu Kebo didn't lose unjustly this time.

Old Yuan glanced at the smug Wang Zhangdian and whispered to Qin Yu:

"Be careful with this old guy; he's very insidious. Don't blame me for not warning you if you get scammed."

Old Yuan's voice wasn't loud, but Wang Zhangdian was right there; how could he not hear it?

His face turned dark instantly.

"Old Yuan, isn't it a bit inappropriate to say that to my face?"

Old Yuan ignored Wang Zhangdian. I said it to your face on purpose. You were the one who pulled the strings for Chen Kaige back then.

You didn't invest yourself and made me do it, you bastard.

"Qin Yu, don't listen to Old Yuan. Who in the circle doesn't know that I, Wang Zhangdian, am a man of integrity?"

Qin Yu smiled without saying anything, but he remained on guard.

Damn it.

The old guy is a bit tricky; I need to be careful.

Don't actually get scammed.

"Alright, let's not talk about this, Director Qin." Yu Dong didn't care; what he cared about was when they would make money.

"When do you plan to release it?"

Qin Yu narrowed his eyes and said:

"Next year's summer vacation!"

"Hiss!"

The three of them gasped. Summer vacation!

That's a release window without national protection.

Generally speaking, domestic films, especially blockbusters, wouldn't dare to compete in this window.

Last year's lesson had already taught domestic entertainment companies a lesson.

Your 'master' is still your 'master'.

When it comes to blockbusters, the domestic industry really isn't up to par.

Qin Yu's sudden heartbeat actually saved a bit of face.

But it was only a little bit.

If they were unlucky enough to run into *Kung Fu Panda* or *Transformers*...

the outcome wouldn't be much better than Huayi or Enlight Media.

Of course, it couldn't be denied that this window was the best one of the entire year.

Even the Spring Festival window might not be able to compare.

Winter is still too cold, and many people are very busy during the Spring Festival.

Summer vacation is different; the main movie-going demographic, students, are on break.

There are quite a lot of people.

"Why not consider... that..." Wang Zhangdian's mouth twitched.

He remembered the tragedy that happened last year.

"No need, President Wang. This time, I want to go head-to-head with Hollywood properly. I can't lose to them at home."

Old Yuan, listening from the side, felt very encouraged. Damn, I didn't misjudge this person.

If you can really defeat Hollywood movies here...

I'll have hit the jackpot.

"Qin Yu, if you really dare to do this, would you consider the Second Great Hall for the premiere?"

Old Yuan asked with a smile.

For the First Great Hall, Old Yuan really had no way; he would need several leaders to speak up before it could even be considered.

But he could still pull some strings for the Second Great Hall.

"Don't be too happy yet. I'll have the leaders come to watch it first. If the quality passes, I don't think the Second Great Hall will be a problem."

"Then I really have to give it my all this time, Old Yuan."

Qin Yu hadn't expected Old Yuan to offer such an irresistible condition.

That was the Great Hall; even the Second Great Hall was a place where top leaders held meetings.

If he could hold a premiere in such a place...

never mind the hype, just the prestige alone would be off the charts.

This was something no director could refuse.

"Old Yuan, since the second one is possible, how about the First Great Hall?"

Yu Dong was also excited.

"..."

"Go to hell, Fatty Yu. What kind of beautiful dream are you having?"

Qin Yu, standing next to him, also rolled his eyes.

Brother Yu, you're amazing. I was only thinking about it in my heart.

You actually dared to ask.

Awesome!

"Get out!"

"All three of you, get out. A bunch of profiteers."

Wang Zhangdian: "..."

Zhao Ting felt wronged. I didn't even say a word, okay?

Qin Yu and the others were discussing the release upstairs.

Downstairs, the auditions were still in full swing.

The 'Little Flowers' and 'Big Flowers' had almost all finished their auditions.

No surprises.

The 'Big Flowers' all passed.

The 'Little Flowers' were the same; Xu Zhen and Guo Fan weren't stupid.

Qin Yu dared to offend these people, but they didn't.

Besides, don't underestimate the small fry.
