Chapter 143: Nocturne

The entire venue blazed with brilliant lights.

Of the several thousand seats, aside from those deliberately left empty, every single one was taken.

The very front rows were reserved for the celebrities.

Celebrities don't hold that high a status within the entertainment industry.

But they all stand beneath the spotlight and need exposure.

The rows behind the celebrities.

Were reserved for the behind-the-scenes people — producers, executive producers, directors.

They are the true big shots.

But they don't need exposure, so there's no need to fight the celebrities for seats.

Further back sat the ticket-buying audience.

Because there were too many celebrities on site.

And these fans were far too fanatical.

So the number was strictly controlled — it was impossible to let the seats be packed to bursting.

Otherwise the scene might spiral out of control.

Because any one of these big-name celebrities.

Placed in a high-traffic spot like an airport or a mall, could easily cause an incident.

Let alone all gathered together in one place.

When arranging the seating.

The organizers could truly be said to have exhausted every ounce of ingenuity.

Because the entertainment industry is full of grudges and entanglements.

This one had a conflict of interest with that one, and they never wanted to see each other again.

This one had quarreled with that one online beyond reconciliation, and had even filed lawsuits.

It was also possible that this one had a scandal with that one.

Or this one was that one's ex-girlfriend, and that one was this one's ex-husband…

Every aspect had to be taken into account.

Otherwise it would easily lead to awkwardness.

Once at an event.

The organizers had seated Hu Ge together with his ex-girlfriend Jiang Shuying.

The scene was excruciatingly awkward!

Beyond these grudges and entanglements.

The organizers also paid great attention to gimmicks.

They arranged the four beauties of Sword Fairy 300 to sit together.
