Chapter 433

"Huh? The script you gave me—is it the same one I was planning to film before?"

Su Chen grinned and said, "Is that not okay? You play the female lead, I want to play the male lead."

Hearing this.

Lan Xiaoyan only then realized Su Chen was teasing her.

Her ears reddened, and she murmured, "If you're playing the male lead, then I'm definitely playing the female lead—nobody's allowed to steal it from me!"

Tang Xiaowei was busy reading the script.

And didn't notice the two of them flirting.

They've already started flooring it!

"Alright, Brother Su, stop teasing me—what script is it really?"

"Let me see it… As for that movie you mentioned, when I have time, I can act alongside you, alright?"

Su Chen nodded with perfect seriousness.

"I didn't say that! If you want to act, then stay tonight—I'll teach you properly."

"This script is called 'Ode to Joy.' In two weeks, I'm heading over to film it."

"I'm writing, directing, and starring in it myself!"

Originally, Su Chen had already finalized the actresses for the several female leads of 'Ode to Joy.'

But Su Chen wanted to swap out Qiao Xin and have Lan Xiaoyan play the role instead.

Because Lan Xiaoyan also has a sweet, obedient face.

Having her play the image of the well-behaved girl Guan Zhuer wouldn't feel too jarring.

Swapping out actors in film and TV productions.

This kind of situation is far too common.

Take Sha Yi and Nie Dayuan back in the day as an example.

In the show 'Wrong Bride, Right Groom.'

Sha Yi originally wanted to play the male lead Qi Tianlei.

But Nie Dayuan snatched the role from him.

Later, in 'New Three Kingdoms,' he wanted to play Zhao Yun.

And Nie Dayuan snatched it from him again at the last minute.

He could only play Sun Ce, who had very few scenes.

But in reality.

Sha Yi's current wife, Hu Xiaoke, is also Nie Dayuan's ex-girlfriend.

That's a proper grudge of stealing money and stealing a wife!

So once there's a more suitable candidate.

Or rather, a candidate that better serves one's own interests.

Swapping actors at the last minute is perfectly normal.
