Chapter 226: I Came for a Funeral, You're Giving Me a Wedding?

Amidst the masses' anticipation, the host Xiao Ying finally spoke slowly.

"Next, please enjoy the song 'Song of the Heroes'."

"Lyrics by Su Meng."

"Composition by Su Meng."

"Arrangement by Su Meng."

"Vocals by Liu Huan."

"Accompaniment by the Magic Capital Folk Orchestra."

In the live stream, a huge flock of question marks suddenly flew up.

I even had my tissues ready, and you show me this?

What happened to the promised 'Grand Funeral'? What about the promised 'Safe Road West'?

How did it turn into 'Song of the Heroes'?

On stage, Xiao Ying continued speaking.

"This song is the theme song for the upcoming large-scale period drama 'Water Margin' by Yang TV."

"Crafted with all his strength by Master Su Meng, please enjoy!"

Yes, at this concert, Su Meng also pushed out this song.

The 'Water Margin' production team was also happy to see this happen.

Releasing the song in advance at such a highly anticipated occasion also serves as a warm-up for the TV drama.

Upon hearing this introduction, the netizens in the live stream were instantly shocked.

"Holy crap, did I hear that right? The theme song for 'Water Margin' was written by Su Meng? That's so fierce?"

"When Yang Mom makes a move, the quality is guaranteed; I suddenly have expectations for this song."

"When Master Su makes a move, even if the style is a bit underworld-like, is the quality even in question?"

"Su Meng teaming up with Liu Huan, this is a union of the strong."

At the concert hall venue, Qiao Qiao Tiancheng and a group of teachers instinctively sat up straight.

As the dean of the Vocal Department, Liu Huan's standards are extremely high.

Since he is personally singing this song, the quality is absolutely not bad.

Before they could finish thinking, a burst of drumbeats suddenly came.

Accompanied by the music, Liu Huan's bold voice rang out.

"The great river flows east, the stars in the sky join the Big Dipper~~~"

On stage, the chorus's voice rose up.

"Hehe, join the Big Dipper, life-and-death friends share a bowl of wine~~~"

These were students carefully selected by Liu Huan from the Vocal Department; their professional standard was naturally beyond doubt.

The powerful voice and the song's artistic conception complemented each other perfectly.

"If we say go, we go, you have it, I have it, everyone has it~~~"

"Hehe, everyone has it, through water and fire we never turn back~~~"

"When we see injustice on the road, we roar, when it's time to act, we act, storming through the nine provinces with fire and wind~~~"

Simple and straightforward, yet bold and frank lyrics, combined with Liu Huan's soul-stirring performance, instantly attracted everyone to this song.

Many people's eyes involuntarily saw scenes of the Liang Shan heroes eating huge chunks of meat, drinking from large bowls, and acting on behalf of heaven.

"Excellent! A good song! Written well, sung well too!"

On Qiao Qiao Tiancheng's calm face, a surge of excitement suddenly appeared.

Not just him, everyone at the venue and in the live stream felt the same.

"Oh no!"

The bearded director Zhang Jizhong suddenly jumped up and hammered his head hard.

"Director Zhang, what's wrong?"

The assistant director asked hurriedly.

Zhang Jizhong grabbed him and said urgently.

"Notify the editor immediately, now! Right now! Immediately!"

"Cut the music video for 'Song of the Heroes' and release it as soon as possible!"

"Music video?" A huge question mark floated above the assistant director's head.

Is the director crazy?

"Director Zhang, Teacher Liu Huan can't get here for a while..."

"He doesn't need to come; just use the shots from our film!"

Zhang Jizhong waved his hand and cut him off directly.

"Releasing this song on an occasion like today, it is bound to explode in popularity."
