Chapter 149: An Ominously Handsome Man
Su Ruo looked at Sun Yanni with icy eyes: "Making you like this was never me, but yourself; when you plotted to harm me, you should have foreseen today's outcome."
But Sun Yanni has now completely lost her sanity; how could she possibly listen to Su Ruo's words?
She acted like a madwoman, lunging at Su Ruo, wanting to fight her, her eyes filled with deep hatred, wishing she could tear Su Ruo's face apart.
Her life is already ruined; why should Su Ruo remain unharmed? Sun Yanni now wishes to drag Su Ruo down to hell with her.
But before she could even move, before she could touch Su Ruo, Su Ruo kicked her flying away with a single strike.
With that kick, Su Ruo used all her strength; Sun Yanni lay on the ground, wailing in pain.
Knowing she couldn't beat Su Ruo, she began to wildly insult and curse her: "Su Ruo, you've made me suffer like this; there will be retribution—I curse you to die badly!"
Su Ruo ignored her; Sun Yanni had gone mad—why bother with a lunatic? Anyway, from now on Sun Yanni could no longer threaten her.
But as Su Ruo stepped out of the school gate, she sensed someone following her; recalling the man she had seen earlier that day, she deliberately slowed her steps and walked into the alley.
As Su Ruo entered the alley, a man rushed forward, producing a piece of cloth and covering her mouth and nose.
Before the pungent smell could reach her, Su Ruo immediately held her breath.
In fact, with her skill she could have knocked him down in a single move, but Su Ruo didn't do that; instead, she let the man hoist her, already 'unconscious', onto his shoulder.
Su Ruo wanted to see who was behind this; as the saying goes, there's no eternal guard against thieves—if this hidden danger isn't eliminated, she'll live in endless trouble.
After being carried several dozen meters by the man, Su Ruo heard a male voice ask: "Lao Wu, how's it going?"
The man called Lao Wu immediately replied: "Don't worry, brother; the sedative I prepared could fell even an elephant."
The man, however, remained uneasy, saying: "You forgot how Qiangzi and the others got caught; this woman is no simpleton—don't let your guard down."
Lao Wu answered: "Got it, brother!" but his expression showed he didn't take it seriously, thinking his brother was overthinking—just a woman, what could she do? No need to be so cautious.
The man checked, confirmed Su Ruo was truly unconscious, and said nothing more.
Su Ruo didn't know how long the two men carried her before setting her down; they bound her hands and feet with rope, tied her to a chair, covered her eyes with cloth, and gagged her before leaving.
Su Ruo heard the door close, knew the two had gone far, then opened her eyes—but with the cloth over them she could see nothing.
Su Ruo drew a knife from her space, cleanly cut the ropes binding her hands, then yanked the cloth from her head and carefully examined the room before her.
It was a very old house; the furnishings were simple but kept clean, clearly someone lived there.
Su Ruo untied the ropes on her body, walked to the table, casually picked up the teapot on the tea table, poured herself a cup of tea, and sipped while quietly waiting for her captors to return.
Su Ruo's previously indifferent expression brightened as the tea entered her mouth; it instantly filled her mouth with fragrance—it was top-grade Da Hong Pao, nowadays quite rare, indicating that those who seized her were no small fry.
Su Ruo decisively stowed the entire box of Da Hong Pao into her space; although she didn't much like drinking tea, she could bring it back as a gift for her master.
After an unknown amount of time, just as Su Ruo was about to finish the whole pot of tea, footsteps sounded outside the door again.
"Young Master, rest assured, that girl has been drugged; she definitely won't wake up within two hours."
As the words fell, the door opened—but seeing the empty room and ropes scattered on the floor, the three froze on the spot.
The man called Young Master's face instantly turned cold: "Is this what you called foolproof?"
Cold sweat poured from Lao Wu's forehead; he hadn't expected that Su Ruo, despite being drugged and tightly bound, could still escape.
At that moment a clear, cold voice came from behind the door: "Are you looking for me?"
The three were startled and about to react when Su Ruo's knife in hand pressed against the major artery at the neck of the man called Young Master.
Lao Wu and the other man exclaimed in shock: "Release our Young Master!"
Su Ruo's gaze grew colder; her knife did not retreat but advanced, and a string of blood beads immediately flowed from the man's neck.
Lao Wu and the other man grew even more panicked: "Don't move our Young Master; tell us what you want, we'll agree to anything."
Su Ruo curled her lip in a mocking smile: "With you lot, you think you can negotiate terms with me?" Then she kicked each of them out with a single foot.
As the two hit the ground, Su Ruo shut the door; the two scrambled up, intending to force their way in.
Su Ruo said: "If you don't want your Young Master to die, you'd better behave."
Outside finally fell silent; Su Ruo finally had a moment to size up the man before her.
But when her eyes met the man's, she froze instantly—his face resembled hers by seventy or eighty percent.
When she first saw Feng Xiran, Su Ruo felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity, because Feng Xiran resembled her by thirty or forty percent.
But the man before her matched her by a full seventy or eighty percent—only he was even more eerily beautiful.
Especially the red tear-shaped mole at the corner of his eye gave his whole appearance a startlingly moving beauty.
Su Ruo had never known a man could be handsome to this degree.
While Su Ruo observed the man, he was also watching her, even more absorbed than she was.
""Grandmother"" the man called out with a dazed gaze.
Su Ruo kicked him squarely in the groin; the intense pain snapped him back to awareness, his hands clutching his lower body as his face paled.
Su Ruo coldly said: "Don't think calling me 'grandmother' will spare you—tell me who you really are! Why did you abduct me here?"
Although Su Ruo already had a guess in her heart, she still wanted to know the exact answer.
The man didn't answer Su Ruo's question; instead, he covered his groin and laughed aloud—his naturally alluring looks made this smile render his face even more gorgeous.
His laugh wouldn't stop, continuing until tears finally streamed down.
Su Ruo looked at him and said: "Madman!"
"What's your name, where are you from?" the man asked after his laughter died down, his tone and manner like those of a dissolute young master flirting with a respectable woman.
Su Ruo's eyes grew colder: "You don't even know who I am, yet you had people seize me?"
"You thought it was fun, so you did it?" the man said indifferently.
"Fun?" Su Ruo's tone turned even colder; after she finished speaking, there was a crack as she twisted his arm, asking: "Is it still fun now?"
The man's face turned deathly pale from the pain, yet he still said in a roguish tone: "Little sister, if you want to play, big brother will naturally keep you company!"
