Chapter 68: Li Shirou's Pregnancy
Wang Qin originally thought thieves had entered the house, but when she went in, she saw a sight that made her eyes almost split.
Her husband and the slut who harmed her son, whom she hated most, were stark naked, wildly coupling on the bed! They were so lost in passion they didn't even notice her coming in.
"Ah! I'll beat you to death, you shameless slut!" Wang Qin shouted angrily, raising the iron hoe in her hand and smashing it hard toward Li Shirou on the bed.
Wu Kuai Ji and Li Shirou were instantly startled awake; Li Shirou saw Wang Qin lifting the iron hoe toward her and cried out in fright.
Wu Kuai Ji immediately rose to his feet, reached out and snatched the iron hoe from Wang Qin's hand.
Stimulated, Wang Qin acted like she had gone mad, wanting to rush over to continue beating Li Shirou, but Wu Kuai Ji stopped her.
Seeing her own husband actually dare to protect that slut, Wang Qin instantly became even more furious.
She reached out and scratched Wu Kuai Ji's face, but still not satisfied, she shouted that she would expose their shameful affair, only to be slapped hard across the face by Wu Kuai Ji.
Wang Qin looked at Wu Kuai Ji in disbelief; this despicable man had done her wrong, yet dared to strike her.
Wang Qin lunged at him, wanting to fight to the death, but as a woman how could she possibly beat a man? Wu Kuai Ji gave her a brutal beating.
After being beaten, Wang Qin felt even more wronged, crying out: she wanted to go back to her natal home and have her family decide for her.
Wang Qin didn't see it, but after hearing her words, Wu Kuai Ji's expression grew increasingly sinister.
Still shouting, Wang Qin yelled: "I'm going to call the police, I'm going to report you two shameless adulterers, so you'll be paraded through the streets, cursed by thousands and condemned by ten thousand!"
The veins on Wu Kuai Ji's forehead bulged; he kicked Wang Qin in the belly, and seeing her still shouting, he grabbed a rope, tied her up, and stuffed a rag in her mouth.
Wu Kuai Ji snarled viciously: "If you dare to shout again, I'll kill you!"
Wang Qin looked at Wu Kuai Ji in despair, unable to believe that the man she had shared a bed with for over twenty years would treat her this way.
Li Shirou watched all this, feeling a hidden satisfaction in her heart: why should she alone suffer torment? It would be better if we all went to hell together.
Wu Kuai Ji had taken medicine; being interrupted by Wang Qin before he could finish releasing his pent-up discomfort, upon seeing the naked Li Shirou, he immediately lunged at her.
Li Shirou deliberately cried out loudly to provoke Wang Qin.
Wang Qin watched her husband, Qin watched her husband, who was actually in front of her, having sex with another woman on the bed; anger, hatred, despair, and madness surged within her.
Because he feared Wang Qin would really call the police, Wu Kuai Ji threw her into the woodshed and locked her up for three days, giving her not a grain of rice nor a drop of water during that time.
After three days, when Wu Kuai Ji released Wang Qin from the woodshed, her gaze had lost all focus.
Wu Kuai Ji asked Wang Qin: "Do you know you're wrong? Are you still going to make a fuss?"
Wang Qin drooled, her eyes unfocused, constantly repeating: "Slut, I'll kill you, I'll kill you..."
Anyone looking at her could tell she had gone mad.
After all these years as husband and wife, Wu Kuai Ji felt a twinge of pity seeing Wang Qin like this, but Li Shirou immediately sat in his embrace and said gently:
"It's good that she's gone mad! This way, no one will ever bother us again, and we don't have to worry about her reporting us."
Wu Kuai Ji was instantly aroused by her beauty; that lingering pity vanished completely, and he even thought Li Shirou was right—without Wang Qin as an obstacle, things couldn't be better for him.
Su Ruo only learned half a month later, from an aunt who had come to see a doctor, that Wang Qin had gone mad.
Su Ruo was quite astonished—how could a perfectly normal person suddenly go mad?
That aunt also sighed: "Wang Qin used to be so glorious! Just because her husband was an accountant, everyone in the village looked up to her, but look now—her only son is in jail, her husband lost his job, and even in old age she still has to work to earn money; the villagers all think she went mad because she couldn't bear the blow."
Su Ruo didn't think so; a woman who only a few days ago had been throwing tantrums, wanting to drag Li Shirou home to give her a good beating, how could she suddenly go mad?
Moreover, after Wu Kuai Ji lost his job, he didn't even take revenge on Li Shirou—the matter just passed like that.
Su Ruo faintly sensed something was off; she felt Wang Qin's sudden madness must be related to Li Shirou, and there must be something she didn't know about it.
But Su Ruo didn't investigate further; Li Shirou was vicious, and Wang Qin was no saint either.
Wang Qin was actually the elder sister of Wang Tufu; in her previous life she had been forced to marry Wang Tufu, and Wang Qin had helped out a lot.
Later, Wang Tufu beat Su Ruo until she miscarried prematurely; after the child died, Su Ruo was overcome with grief.
Wang Qin also mocked her, sneering that Su Ruo couldn't bear a son and was just a hen that couldn't lay eggs.
So now, seeing Wang Qin end up like this, Su Ruo not only feels no pity for her, but thinks she deserves it.
The aunt still wanted to say something, but seeing Su Ruo uninterested, she left in a huff, continuing to go gossip elsewhere.
After Wang Qin was no longer an obstacle, Wu Kuai Ji and Li Shirou became even more reckless, until a month later Li Shirou discovered she was pregnant.
