Chapter 161: Great Battle with the Demon Ape (Part 2)

Boom! Crack! The fist of the blood-colored giant ape and the fist of the double-pupiled demon ape collided fiercely in mid-air.

Countless arcs of electricity suddenly exploded in the semi-air, shooting out in all directions!

Rumble-rumble-rumble! A vibration like a mountain collapse and tsunami descended upon Wangyue Island.

The massive shockwave of energy in the air spread outward layer by layer in an arc shape, instantly turning many rocks and trees on the rear mountain into flying ash.

Below the island, the Wu family members hid inside a cave; feeling such earth-shattering momentum, they had no idea what was happening outside, each one turning pale with horror, not daring to breathe loudly.

Wu Jiang pulled a bitter face: "Fellow Daoist Qin, you absolutely must not come to harm!"

Rear mountain of the main peak.

After the blood-colored giant ape transformed from Qin Ming exchanged a punch with the double-pupiled demon ape, the two massive figures each flew backward and shot away! Bang! Qin Ming's body smashed heavily onto the mountain peak behind him, sending countless huge rocks and debris flying; his mouth tasted sweet, and a trickle of fresh blood overflowed.

This was the first time he had been injured since cultivating the "Hundred Treasures Glazed Sutra."

The double-pupiled demon ape opposite also flew backward, crashing onto the lake surface and splashing up a huge wave.

It was faring no better either; it wildly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, and under the force of that single strike, its injuries had actually expanded again.

The demon ape's eyes revealed a look of surprise, somewhat unable to believe that there was actually a human cultivator capable of clashing head-on with it using only their physical body, and fighting to a draw.

Roar! Before the demon ape could prop up its massive body, the body of the Profound Water Crocodile also transformed into a size of over ten zhang; it let out an angry roar, opened its giant mouth to reveal two rows of chillingly sharp teeth, then suddenly lunged forward, biting down on the double-pupiled demon ape's left leg.

Instantly, blood sprayed forth, dyeing the nearby lake surface red.

Roar! Feeling pain, the double-pupiled demon ape was both startled and furious; roaring in anger, it swung its fist, just about to smash it down onto the Profound Water Crocodile's head.

Zila!

At this moment, a flash of dark golden arcs shimmered within the Profound Water Crocodile's mouth, and a bolt of lightning instantly spread from the demon ape's left leg across its entire body.

The double-pupiled demon ape's whole body suddenly stiffened, and the fist that was about to fall halted in mid-air.

Whoosh! Taking advantage of this gap, the Silver-Winged Frost Bee transformed into a streak of silver light, appearing eerily above the demon ape's head, and shot a Soul-Extinguishing Poison Thorn at it.

The Soul-Extinguishing Poison Thorn was formless and shadowless, passing through the air, and was just about to strike the demon ape when—

The double-pupiled demon ape also seemed to sense the danger; its eyes once again erupted with two beams of mysterious light, sweeping across the sky above, and the Soul-Extinguishing Poison Thorn emitted by the Silver-Winged Frost Bee was instantly swept away by the mysterious light, vanishing into nothingness.

Subsequently, the demon ape's eyes turned blood-red; it let out an angry roar from its mouth, and suddenly, streaks of purple spiritual runes erupted across its body, covering its entire form.

Its fur and skin instantly turned purple, and a powerful force suddenly surged out from within the demon ape.

It splashed up from the lake water and stood, its giant left hand grabbing the Profound Water Crocodile by the neck, then its right hand suddenly exerted force, smashing a heavy fist onto the crocodile's head.

Bang! The Profound Water Crocodile was smashed dizzy by this blow; fortunately, it had thick skin and flesh, plus a layer of thick protective armor.

If it had been any other demonic beast, it would likely have already been blasted into a cloud of blood mist.

Seizing the opportunity, the double-pupiled demon ape broke free from the crocodile's bite, forcibly flinging its massive body dozens of zhang away.

Qin Ming looked at the double-pupiled demon ape's current form; judging by its appearance, it seemed to have unleashed some kind of bloodline secret technique, as its power had actually doubled instantly.

He narrowed his eyes; this form of his as a blood-colored giant ape required vast amounts of Qi and Blood True Gang to maintain, so he must end the battle quickly.

Thus, he rose again, clenched his fists tight, and smashed heavily toward the demon ape!

Bang-bang-bang! The double-pupiled demon ape was equally unwilling to show weakness, swinging its fists to engage the blood-colored giant ape in battle once more.

Fist shadows alternated, almost every punch landing flesh-to-flesh; the two giant apes fought from the lake to the island, then from the island back into the lake.

Qin Ming gritted his teeth, his face pale and weak; under such intense consumption, the Qi and Blood True Gang within his body was also becoming critically endangered.

He immediately used one 【Qi and Blood Crystal】 trait, instantly recovering a portion of the loss.

After unleashing the secret technique earlier, the double-pupiled demon ape also seemed to be nearing exhaustion, its roars becoming weak and feeble, no longer as fierce as at the start.

Qin Ming's gaze burned like a torch; he suddenly pushed the demon ape away, joined his five fingers together again, and poured all his Qi and Blood True Gang into this single punch.

Boom! In an instant, the blood-colored giant fist erupted with a dazzling crimson radiance, as if it had become substantial.

Then Qin Ming leaped high into the air, gathered his strength, and smashed a punch down upon the double-pupiled demon ape! Bang! Crack!

"Aow~"

Under this punch, flesh and blood flew everywhere; the double-pupiled demon ape let out a miserable howl, its left arm directly smashed off by the blood-colored giant ape, exploding into a cloud of blood mist.

Seeing this, the Profound Water Crocodile opened its giant mouth, condensed a mass of unprecedentedly huge dark golden lightning within, and unleashed its strongest bloodline innate divine ability to strike the demon ape.

Rumble-rumble-rumble! The lightning arrived in an instant, striking the demon ape and charring it inside and out; it was only because the demon ape's physical body was ridiculously strong that it survived, otherwise, under this attack, few demonic beasts at the late Foundation Establishment stage could have withstood it.

Having suffered consecutive heavy blows, plus the injuries it already bore, the demon ape also seemed unable to hold on; it fell straight backward into the lake water behind it.

The Profound Water Crocodile thought it had killed the demon ape; its eyes revealed excitement, and it prepared to chase into the lake.

Qin Ming immediately sent out his divine sense to probe, but his face instantly changed drastically, and he shouted: "Not good! Retreat quickly!"

But it was already one step too late.

Splash!

Bang! The lake surface rolled up a wave of water, and a giant ape emanating purple mist burst out from the lake, smashing a fist onto the Profound Water Crocodile's body, actually blasting it flying dozens of zhang away; it crashed onto the ground, its aura becoming listless and weak.

Qin Ming stared at the double-pupiled demon ape that had changed once again, his pupils involuntarily contracting sharply; he saw that the left arm which he had just smashed to pieces had actually restored itself to its original state—what kind of vitality and means was this? However, he also secretly detected a slight clue: although the demon ape looked ferociously powerful at this moment, it seemed to be merely struggling in its death throes.

Because Qin Ming discovered that the demon ape's originally bright double pupils had now become extremely dim.

Obviously, at the cost of temporarily losing the abilities of its double pupils, it had unleashed some kind of secret technique that burned its source life, regaining the power of its prime for a short time.

Thinking of this, a cold sweat rose on Qin Ming's back! The final strike of a demonic beast before death is often the fiercest.

He immediately gritted his teeth; disregarding any pity for his two spiritual pets, he ordered the Profound Water Crocodile to attack again and hold the demon ape for a moment.

Receiving Qin Ming's command, the Profound Water Crocodile's eyes immediately revealed a fierce light; fearless of death, it charged toward the demon ape without the slightest hesitation.

Qin Ming then took out that third-rank Talisman Treasure—the 'Green Dragon Seal'—from his storage bag.

Previously, he had been concerned that the demon ape possessed law-breaking divine abilities, so he had not dared to bring it out directly.

At this moment, the demon ape's double pupils were temporarily unable to unleash that eerie mysterious light, so he could not be blamed for using it now.

Qin Ming immediately poured a massive amount of magic power into the Green Dragon Seal; in just a few short breaths, his internal liquid magic power Zhihu was instantly drained by more than half.

But this still seemed insufficient to fully activate this third-rank Talisman Treasure; he immediately gritted his teeth, increasing his magic power output: "I'll gamble everything!"

As a continuous stream of magic power kept flowing in, the Talisman Treasure was like a bottomless pit, extracting Qin Ming's magic power.

Not far away, the Double-Pupiled Demon Ape kicked once each, sending the Profound Water Crocodile and the Silver-Winged Yin Yi Shuangfeng flying to the side.

The two beasts hit the ground, nearly at their last breath, having lost their combat ability and unable to stand again.

Having dealt with Qin Ming's two spirit pets, the Double-Pupiled Demon Ape's face revealed a look of boundless hatred as it charged toward him, poised to arrive in an instant!

Buzz~ At this critical moment, the Green Dragon Seal in Qin Ming's hand flickered with a burst of green light.

"Finally done!"

"Scared me to death!"

He had poured out fully two-thirds of his magic power before finally succeeding in activating the talisman treasure.

Roar! The Green Dragon Seal shot out as a streak of light, suddenly transforming mid-air into the ethereal form of a green flood dragon, its body flashing with countless electric sparks as a world-destroying magical prowess descended abruptly upon the rear mountain of the Main Peak.

The moment the Double-Pupiled Demon Ape saw the flood dragon appear, its gaze went blank, revealing a trace of despair it could not hide.

The green ethereal form constantly expanded within its double pupils, whereupon the purple mist on its body dissipated like ice melting and tiles crumbling.

Boom—boom—boom! The green flood dragon struck the Demon Ape's body, piercing straight through from the center and carrying away its last shred of vitality.

Thump! The Double-Pupiled Demon Ape, once domineering over the entire spiritual energy Immortal Realm and notorious for its ferocity, fell heavily and lifelessly as a corpse right before Qin Ming.
