Chapter 471
Seed of the Ultimate Dao...
Both Ace and Zhang Xuer knew what that was, but they had never witnessed one with their own eyes, and there were no Seeds of the Ultimate Dao among the people they knew.
Legend has it that there exists a type of being that can learn all extraordinary paths without hindrance or negative side effects, whether they are of the physical, mental, or soul side. Furthermore, it does not matter if the roots of those paths have been lost; that's right, even lost extraordinary paths can be learned and used without hindrance!
There is no such thing as perfection in this world. Even if a root claims to be an infinite cycle and a self-contained loop, it is merely approaching perfection within its own domain.
Extraordinary paths are the same. The three major categories—physical, mental, and soul—are different enough as it is, and even within the same category, different extraordinary paths have their own focuses, complements, and mutual generation or restriction. This is endless, and this is the truth of the world.
However, a Seed of the Ultimate Dao can ignore the differences in paths, roots, and even the origins of pollution. They can practice techniques from all three sides—physical, mental, and soul—at will. This allows them to form complements, or even multiplicative effects. As they practice more extraordinary techniques, the complements increase, the multiplicative effects increase, and eventually, they form an individual similar to a paradox... a near-perfect being!
When ascending from a mortal to a Sublimated Body, if a Seed of the Ultimate Dao has already reached the peak, they will form an Ultimate Dao Sublimated Body. As they continue to practice and complement their techniques, this type of Sublimated Body becomes terrifyingly powerful, even capable of forcibly defeating or killing a Root-level existence while still at the Sublimated Body rank!!
The two of them had also heard elders in their sect speak of past events. The True Martial lineage once produced a Seed of the Ultimate Dao. He started with ancient martial arts, mixed in over thirty types of physical, mental, and soul techniques, and finally ascended with the aptitude of the Ultimate Dao, becoming an Ultimate Dao Sublimated Body. He then caused a massive incident and committed great sins, even reverse-polluting the ancient martial arts path, forcing the True Martial lineage to abandon and seal him away.
And it wasn't just the True Martial lineage; among the surviving realities they knew of, there were many examples of Seeds of the Ultimate Dao. They were all overwhelming for a time, but their ends were miserable—either dying violently, dropping dead, or disappearing. Never had a single Seed of the Ultimate Dao achieved the Root.
But they are strong!
After a Seed of the Ultimate Dao achieves an Ultimate Dao Sublimated Body, any such being is a figure who overwhelms an entire era. Their combat power rivals the Root, yet they lack all the limitations of the Root. They themselves will not fall into ignorance due to internal loops, and they can almost be said to be near-perfect existences. Although their later years are ominous, before that, they do so much for their civilization!
Only a Super Reality Era like the Heavenly Court would suppress Ultimate Dao Sublimated Beings for the sake of solidified order and stability. Other than that, any Reality Era basically treasures them like the apple of their eye. The only requirement is that they do not backfire on themselves and that no incidents like the one with ancient martial arts occur again.
Ace and Zhang Xuer looked at each other, both seeing horror and ecstasy in the other's eyes. Zhang Xuer immediately said, "We couldn't have misjudged, could we!? No way, right?"
Ace thought solemnly and said, "No. He has used at least three or four different extraordinary systems, maybe even five. That passive perception change that made us think he was weak might also be an extraordinary system. This absolutely cannot be fake. But his foundation path is still our True Martial lineage. All reality civilizations have tested this; anyone can at most be compatible with two different extraordinary paths. That is already the limit of limits, and that is already a genius. Three extraordinary paths will inevitably cause a backlash, without exception. Only a Seed of the Ultimate Dao can compatibly handle three or more, or even countless, extraordinary paths without hindrance!"
"He must be a Seed of the Ultimate Dao!"
Zhang Xuer said urgently, "Then we cannot let him be like this. We must bring him back, but..."
"But..." Ace also fell silent.
Unlike the "weakness" they perceived, Wu Wu Pifu was simply explosively strong. His passive perception made others think he was weak, while he himself was explosively powerful. This drew out all the hidden prying eyes; whoever came died. This was simply too cunning. It was a good thing the two of them thought this little junior brother was naive. If they had known earlier, they wouldn't have dared to provoke him!!
Now that they had fought and offended him, fortunately, the little junior brother understood human relationships and left them a favor. They had to acknowledge this favor!
"I'm going back! I will immediately rush back to report all this to the Master. Even if it means using the Reality Vault, I must have the Master, or at least a few Sublimated Body uncles, take action. We absolutely cannot let the Seed of the Ultimate Dao of our lineage perish!" Ace said decisively.
Zhang Xuer also nodded and said, "Then I will stay by his side to warn and explain the origins of the incoming enemies, so he doesn't get ambushed. The little junior brother is brilliant; as long as he has a warning, as long as the incoming enemy isn't a Sublimated Body, it's impossible for the little junior brother to be in mortal danger!"
The two looked at each other again. Both were of the True Martial lineage, so they made their decisions quickly. They nodded to each other, and then Ace closed his eyes and focused. A crystal floated out from between his brows, but this crystal did not contain hidden thunder; instead, it was thick with blood energy, scorching like fire. Then, he gritted his teeth and squeezed his hand, actually crushing this crystal directly. His vigorous essence, energy, and spirit, which didn't seem human, began to decline rapidly.
But as the crystal was crushed, a circle of spatial distortion gradually appeared around him, and then this spatial distortion layer turned into a mirror surface. Ace threw himself toward the mirror surface. At the last moment, he looked back at Zhang Xuer and said, "Junior sister, be careful, and also..."
As he spoke, he glanced at Wu Wu Pifu in the distance again, his eyes filled with something inexplicable.
Zhang Xuer smiled lightly and said in a very low voice, "Junior sister naturally knows... Senior brother, go ahead."
As she spoke, Zhang Xuer's eyes carried a hint of charm.
Ace nodded in satisfaction and went straight through the mirror surface.
All of this happened under Wu Wu Pifu's nose. He didn't pay any attention to it, just staring at the few giant beasts.
Besides the giant beasts he had killed, three giant beasts remained alive: a huge owl, an insect creature that looked like a caterpillar but had sharp machetes on its limbs, and a turtle, or perhaps a soft-shelled turtle?
All three giant beasts were over ten meters long and huge in size. The most critical thing was that they actually possessed extraordinary power, and their own energy was far stronger than the other life forms that had attacked. Although they were on the verge of death, they were slowly healing. If they weren't killed, they really wouldn't die.
Seeing Wu Wu Pifu staring at these three giant beasts, Zhang Xuer floated over with a smile and said, "Junior brother, do you want to eat them? Our True Martial lineage values accumulation the most. Rare beasts and heavenly treasures are all accumulations of our blood energy and spirit. This is indeed not bad, but these are war beasts. Judging from their appearance, except for this insect which likely comes from the Mist Civilization, the other two likely come from the Alchemy Civilization. This flesh and blood is not food; it might not even have the nutritional value of ordinary cattle or sheep."
Wu Wu Pifu kept the words "Mist Civilization" and "Alchemy Civilization," especially "Alchemy Civilization," in his mind. He shook his head and said, "It's not for eating, but I'm wondering if they can be used as batteries."
"What!?" Zhang Xuer asked, confused.
Wu Wu Pifu couldn't be bothered to say more. He looked around, but couldn't find suitable tools for a moment, so he turned his gaze to the corpses all over the ground.
He immediately took action, starting to strip the tattered clothes or flexible weapons from the corpses on the ground. In a moment, only naked corpse fragments remained all over the ground. Wu Wu Pifu was covered in blood and flesh, and he piled the corpse meat together, then began to rub and knead the stripped clothes and weapons. It was a proper scene of killing and destroying corpses—no, killing and eating corpses.
Zhang Xuer's confusion deepened, and her expression became increasingly strange. Just at this moment, she and Wu Wu Pifu looked up at the same time and saw a red bird and a flash of light descending. Seeing this red bird and the light, Zhang Xuer's expression immediately became serious.
She said, "Junior brother, be careful! This is the Monster Civilization and the Heaven Civilization! Both are powerful civilizations equal to our True Martial lineage, each with their own foundations and mysteries, and they are not weak... Moreover, the Monster Civilization most hates low-level life forms devouring giant beast corpses, while the Heaven side most hates disturbing the dead, especially fiddling with the corpses, spirits, and souls of the dead."
This was a reminder. After Zhang Xuer finished speaking, she thought for a moment and added, "Junior brother, you really must be careful. They..."
Wu Wu Pifu just buried his head in tanning the long rope, neither speaking nor paying attention. At this time, the Monster and Heaven civilizations landed. The Monster side was an over-eight-meter-long crimson giant bird. After landing, it shook its body and transformed into a woman in a red dress. As soon as she landed, she frowned immediately.
On the other side, the light landed and transformed into a faceless, handless, three-winged sphere. The three wings were symmetrically positioned at the back, and there was an abrupt extra wing in the front. The sphere looked like metal in texture, and it was impossible to see any face or expression.
Zhang Xuer wanted to continue speaking to warn Wu Wu Pifu about the extraordinary paths of these two civilizations, but she didn't expect the red-dressed woman from the Monster side to shout sternly, "Zhang Xuer! I know you are willful, but I didn't expect you to be so cruel and barbaric. Killing them is one thing—it's nothing more than you fighting me for them, and if your skills are inferior, there's nothing to say. But you are actually keeping three giant beasts and planning to eat them!?"
The three-winged sphere also emitted a mechanical sound through an unknown method: "True Martial lineage, you are truly overbearing. Killing them is one thing, but you actually want to desecrate the dead! Today, I must teach you, this arrogant and lawless person, a lesson on behalf of the True Martial lineage!!"
Zhang Xuer's head turned slowly and stiffly. Her mouth was still open, and for a moment, she didn't know what to say.
"??"
That's right, Wu Wu Pifu looked weak, very weak, and with so many corpses in the arena, she was the True Martial induction attendant known to many civilizations, the dignified Yin-Thunder Ghost Immortal...
The next second, a streak of red fire and a circle of light directly enveloped Zhang Xuer!
