Chapter 1469: Found You! It
Time flies!
In the blink of an eye, another thousand years had passed.
After learning of the Light Sovereign God's plans, Lin Yan did not rush into the Dark Abyss, nor did he hurry to explore the Void Lands.
He spent the time cultivating the Void Beasts and continuing his search for that one beam of light.
After a thousand years, the Dark Starry Sky had become utterly bright.
Mobilizing the entire Heavenly Realm greatly increased efficiency.
Now, the Dark Starry Sky was no longer dark.
Throughout the entire starry expanse, brilliant stars shone everywhere.
Some gods had begun orbiting completed Flame Stars, pulling in fragments of shattered stars to create nations capable of sustaining life.
In the current Heavenly Realm, every god held a decent nation on the Continent of Gods, but no god ever felt their faith power was enough.
Although the Laws' strength within the Dark Starry Sky was weaker, the faith power gained from establishing nations there was still less than on the Continent of Gods.
But upon closer calculation, the difference was not that great.
Do not forget that all faith power in the entire Heavenly Realm was now centrally allocated by Lin Yan, and the starry expanse could also benefit from the Civilization Fire's enhancement.
Through the efforts of many gods, after a thousand years, some planets had become teeming with life.
These gods expended great power to relocate many people from the Continent of Gods, reaping substantial returns.
Know this: even on the current Continent of Gods, a second-tier god's nation could at most support a kingdom of fifty to sixty million people!
Compared to ten thousand years ago, this was threefold growth, and the faith power they could extract from such kingdoms had increased more than tenfold.
But if they developed the starry expanse, even a single planet could support vastly, vastly more people.
No matter how vast the Continent of Gods, how could it compare to the infinite starry expanse?
The only problem the starry expanse faced was its weaker Laws' strength—ordinary civilians from the Continent of Gods, upon entering the stars, became super-strong individuals.
Once the starry expanse flourished fully and its Laws continuously strengthened, life within it would gradually approach the levels of the Continent of Gods, and the faith power contributed would rise steadily.
Thus, many gods had already seen the long-term benefits and joined the great effort to develop the starry expanse.
Lin Yan did not interfere much in the development of the starry expanse.
He allowed the gods of the Heavenly Realm to act freely.
Now, whether on the Continent of Gods, the starry expanse, or the entire Heavenly Realm, all were under his control.
Every sacrifice made by every god benefited Lin Yan.
"Roar!"
In the Void Lands, a massive Void Beast let out a sound and charged toward Lin Yan.
This Void Beast had been raised by Lin Yan for over ten thousand years.
Originally, this Void Beast was already equivalent to a powerful Law Lord.
After devouring another Void Beast, this one grew even stronger.
After being raised by Lin Yan for over ten thousand years, this Void Beast was now extremely close to becoming a Primordial God.
According to Lin Yan's estimate, this Void Beast was now likely equivalent to a Five-Star Ancient God.
In the Void Lands, even Five-Star Ancient Gods were no match for it.
In Void Lands 2.0, it could even fight a Primordial God.
Yet, it still seemed to lack just a little to fully transform into a Primordial God-level being.
Lin Yan paused, then spoke to the Void Beast: "Go deep into the Void Lands and seek out other Void Beasts to devour."
"Roar!"
The Void Beast understood Lin Yan's command and sprinted deep into the Void Lands.
Lin Yan was not worried it would flee.
Through the "seed of fire" within this Void Beast, Lin Yan could summon his gaze to it at any moment.
After the Void Beast had traveled far away, Lin Yan left the Void Lands and reappeared in the starry expanse.
He was close to finding the source of that beam of light.
If he could only rewind time once a month, he would have found it long ago.
He followed a single line, advancing steadily.
In this progression, Lin Yan made many discoveries.
For example, this beam of light from billions of years ago had indeed traveled in a straight line.
The reason it appeared curved as he searched was simple.
The starry expanse was constantly changing.
It was like the cosmic expansion theory he had heard of before his transmigration.
Yes, the starry expanse was expanding, growing larger.
Space itself was continuously shifting.
That was why its trajectory kept changing.
It was not the light that changed.
It was the world that changed.
If there were no such changes, finding it would have been far easier.
But of course, these changes were also beneficial.
In searching for this beam of light, Lin Yan's understanding of this world deepened continuously.
At his current level, understanding this world was itself part of his combat power!
This allowed Lin Yan to access even deeper layers of reality.
In a stretch of starry space, Lin Yan came to a stop.
This region had yet to be developed by the gods of the Heavenly Realm.
The starry space was too vast; even though the number of gods in the Heavenly Realm was now considerable, after a thousand years, the stars they had developed were still confined to just that one region of the Heavenly Realm.
This stretch of starry space was still undergoing natural evolution.
"It should be here."
Lin Yan murmured to himself.
Then he activated the Rule of Time.
Immediately, this stretch of starry space changed in his vision.
Lin Yan began time reversal.
The scenes within the starry space shifted constantly, even flashing images from thousands of years ago of two Sacred Spirits releasing the "Seed of Fire" here.
Lin Yan did not pause; he continued reversing further.
Vast amounts of imagery were nothing but darkness, darkness, darkness.
Finally, the darkness vanished, and another galaxy appeared nearby—but the time had not yet reached the moment when that beam of light had appeared.
Lin Yan continued reversing.
Just over a minute later, Lin Yan finally located the moment when that beam of light had appeared.
That beam of light flashed past, racing through this galaxy.
"This is not the origin."
Lin Yan whispered.
Here, still not the origin.
He gazed toward the direction from which the light had come, analyzed its trajectory, and recorded it.
After another month, Lin Yan arrived once more at another galaxy.
