Chapter 1497

And in the Heavenly Realm, after exactly one year, the first Divine Lord competition finally began.

This Divine Lord competition was for the Metal Principle!

Two slots: one for the primary principle, one for the secondary principle!

And the number of Principle Lords participating… totaled fifteen!

If not for the Divine Lord competition, the gods of the Heavenly Realm would never have realized that the Metal Principle concealed a full fifteen Principle Lords with mastery levels above 90%!

The waters of the Heavenly Realm are indeed deep!

Some Heavenly Realm gods thought.

"Kurong Zunzhu is here too— the primary principle is surely his; we can only compete for the secondary principle."

Upon seeing the ancient Principle Lord Kurong Zunzhu, each participating Principle Lord immediately abandoned any thought of contesting the primary principle.

Compete for the secondary principle!

And this first Divine Lord competition lasted for several years.

The power gaps among these Principle Lords were not especially large, and each possessed numerous techniques; none would easily surrender in their bid for the Divine Lord position, and as the battles dragged on, some began to rely on endurance.

The two longest-lasting Principle Lords fought for nearly eleven months before a victor emerged.

Of course, there was a time limit: any single battle exceeding one year was declared a draw.

Several years later, the first Divine Lord competition finally ended.

Kurong Zunzhu, as expected, earned the right to control the primary principle; another Principle Lord earned the right to control the secondary principle.

Immediately after, both set about preparing fully to ascend to Divine Lord.

The other defeated Principle Lords, meanwhile, began plotting to choose other principles.

And on this day, after years of evaluation, Lin Yan finally decided to act!
