"What's going on?"

In the Heavenly Realm, every Law Lord sensed that disturbance.

Those below the rank of Law Lord felt nothing at all.

The world was too vast.

For such a ripple to spread across the entire world would take unknown lengths of time, and with the Void Lands acting as a buffer, even if it reached every corner, it would likely attenuate to the point where even ordinary people could no longer perceive it.

This ripple resembled a fluctuation at the level of Law and Primordial Source.

In the Void Lands, Lin Yan carried Xi Hua and swiftly moved toward the direction from which the ripple originated.

As time passed, Lin Yan's research into the Void Lands grew deeper; he established several nodes within it, through which he could rapidly traverse the Void Lands.

Even so, it took Lin Yan a full several decades to reach the source of the ripple.

Yet...

There was nothing there—empty, utterly empty.

It seemed the ripple had come from outside the Void Lands.

"Here?"

Lin Yan murmured.

As time passed, the ripple had diminished from its earlier intensity.

It seemed the initial impact had already occurred; now full contact had been established.

Yet the closed-loop structure of the Void Lands prevented Lin Yan from exiting entirely.

"What could it be?"

Lin Yan murmured.

"Lord Yan, could it be another world?"

Beside him, Xi Hua said.

"Another world?"

Lin Yan had also considered this possibility.

"If it is another world, and the two worlds have now collided, will it break the closed-loop structure of the Void Lands?"

Xi Hua added.

Lin Yan grunted, his mind racing with countless thoughts.

If it were another world, it would indeed explain things.

Given the prosperity of this world, over fifty billion years it had become exceedingly rich, and the world itself had expanded several times over.

But if it were another world, how did worlds exist relative to one another?

Like spheres floating in the Void?

Lin Yan sat down in the Void Lands, determined to observe what changes would unfold.

Xi Hua sat down beside him.

Time passed slowly.

Soon, a hundred years had passed.

The ripple continued, but it was no longer detectable in the Heavenly Realm.

"Our world is expanding; if the other world is expanding too, the two will keep pressing against each other—so wait a while longer, and we'll see changes in the Void Lands," Xi Hua said...

Lin Yan and she waited once more within the Void Lands.
