Chapter 210

"There's a Seventh-Rank Abyss Lord here! Hah!"

Lin Yan became delighted.

His luck was excellent; after burning through the Demon Insect Abyss, below lay the next layer of the Abyss.

This meant the two layers of the Abyss were connected.

If they weren't connected, this method wouldn't work—you'd have to find a teleportation entrance to enter the next layer.

And entrances were extremely hard to find.

Even Abyss Lords might not be able to find one.

In short, without great strength, moving from one layer of the Abyss to another was nearly impossible.

Lin Yan immediately summoned flames to ignite the Seventh-Rank Spider Demon Lord.

As an Abyss creature, its body was terrifyingly hard, yet under Lin Yan's furious combustion, it still couldn't hold out—it began to burn violently.

This layer of the Abyss severely restricted flames; when Lin Yan burned, his consumption was extraordinary.

For ordinary flames, whether they could even ignite was questionable.

But the gains from burning this Seventh-Rank Spider Demon Lord were also substantial.

The gains had already surpassed the consumption.

That was enough.

Lin Yan had come here specifically for energy points!

On the stone pillar, after Lin Yan ignited the Spider Demon Lord, Princess Chenxi and Qing Luan noticed the special energy on the web had vanished.

Princess Chenxi used her sharp blade to cleanly cut through the web and emerged with Qing Luan.

As soon as she emerged, Qing Luan instinctively felt that this flame was familiar!

"Princess, it's the flame sent down by the Divine!"

Qing Yan said, watching the flames that made the Seventh-Rank Spider Demon Lord roll helplessly on the ground.

Princess Chenxi nodded, gazing at the flames that still blazed fiercely in the frigid Abyss, her expression gradually hardening.

"Qing Luan, I've decided!"

Princess Chenxi said.

Qing Luan understood Princess Chenxi's meaning.

She was somewhat astonished.

Because Princess Chenxi now had two choices.

They had already killed a Sixth-Rank Spider Demon Lord and taken its heart's blood—this might lift the curse upon the Night Elves!

Even if the rumor that Spider Demon Lord's blood could break the Curse of the Shadow God was false, wouldn't trying it reveal the truth?

Princess Chenxi could have tried first, and if it failed, sought help from this Divine being.

But now, without even attempting it, she had decided to seek help from this Divine being.

The Divine does not help others without reason.

Unless they are their most devout followers.

That was why Princess Chenxi had decided to offer her faith and soul, forever becoming this powerful Divine's Sacred Maiden!

Though Qing Luan was startled, she did not stop her.

This Flame God had just saved their lives.

Even her own heart was filled with gratitude!

After speaking, Princess Chenxi stepped forward two paces, then bowed her head, kneeling in utter devotion.

"Great Flame God, thank you for saving our lives. My people are cursed by the Shadow God, forever barred from Bai Zhou, with no Divine willing to favor us. If you are willing to accept us, we vow to become your most faithful believers; Chenxi also vows to become your most devout Sacred Maiden, unwavering until death, forever!"

Princess Chenxi said to the blazing flames.

After speaking, her heart grew anxious.

She did not know whether this Divine would accept them.

But she had not deceived the Divine—she had truthfully revealed the Shadow God's curse.

She had also truthfully revealed that they had lost the Moon God's favor.

These truths reflected the sincerity of her heart.

In fact, if her heart lacked true devotion, she could never successfully forge a covenant with the Divine and become a Sacred Maiden!

Before her, the flames continued to burn fiercely.

Princess Chenxi received no response.

But she waited patiently, her face showing not the slightest impatience.

Long after, the Seventh-Rank Spider Demon Lord had been completely consumed.

Yet the flames showed no sign of weakening—they still burned.

Behind Princess Chenxi, Qing Luan also knelt on the ground.

She had already intended to follow Princess Chenxi and become a temple attendant!

Time seemed to freeze.

In the frigid Abyss, cold winds howled.

Flames burning in the air emitted a faint "chichi" sound.

This was because the air of the frigid Abyss contained a special component, similar to ice beads.

It was precisely this component that made flame combustion in the frigid Abyss extraordinarily difficult.

It also made Lin Yan's combustion consume energy extraordinarily heavily!

After exactly five minutes, Princess Chenxi heard a majestic voice.

"My name: Lord of Flame!"

Lord of Flame!

Princess Chenxi heard these four words and her face lit up with joy.

The fact that this deity was willing to reveal His divine name meant He had already begun to recognize her.

Though there was no altar here, as Princess of the Night Elves, she had once spent a long time studying in the Elf Empire and knew many things.

She naturally knew the way to make a pact with a deity.

She placed her finger in her mouth and gently bit it with her teeth.

Princess Chenxi murmured incantations under her breath.

This was a special spell.

Then, Princess Chenxi extended her finger toward the flame.

A single drop of blood fell downward, instantly sinking into the flame and being consumed by it.

Immediately, Princess Chenxi felt a new connection form between herself and the great Lord of Flame.

Over time, this connection would grow ever tighter.

Until even death could not sever it.

Of course, after becoming the deity's holy maiden, her lifespan would become extraordinarily long.

Moreover, the Night Elves' lifespan was already extraordinarily long, and nearly eternal youth!

"Reach your hand into the flame!"

Instantly, Princess Chenxi received a revelation from the Lord of Flame.

This revelation was not in the form of words or sound.

It descended directly into her mind, making her understand the Lord of Flame's intent.

It was like learning.

The deity's revelation allowed one to grasp knowledge instantly, without studying—completely and thoroughly!

That was how the deity's revelation worked.

Otherwise, how could Princess Lodi of the Cat Tribe, who had never even taken basic physics, have built a hand-cranked generator so quickly?
