Chapter 222

A creature from the Abyss was moving through inside.

"Found it, here!"

The Abyssal creature showed delight, ran under a plant, and began digging.

Abyssal creatures are mostly chaotic, and the vast majority lack wisdom.

Being able to speak already puts one ahead of many Abyssal creatures.

The Abyssal creature dug for a little while, then unearthed a fruit from beneath the shrub.

It tucked the fruit into its arms, ready to leave, when suddenly its expression changed.

"Boom!"

A gigantic Abyssal creature suddenly landed in front of it, shaking the ground!

"Zombie Lord!"

The Abyssal creature turned pale and fled quickly.

But the Zombie Lord's target was it—just as it escaped ten meters, the Zombie Lord leaped violently and landed right in front of it.

"Hahaha, lucky me! You Succubus clan aren't staying in Red Soil Abyss, yet you came to Dark Abyss—did you know I've grown tired of eating Dark Abyss creatures and want to change my taste?"

The Zombie Lord laughed loudly at the Abyssal creature before it.

Before it, the Abyssal creature turned pale, muttered incantations, then sent a wave of mental energy toward the Zombie Lord—but the Zombie Lord didn't budge.

"Fear, tremble—flesh steeped in fear is the most delicious, I love it most…"

The Zombie Lord spoke in a demonic tone.

But before it finished speaking, a flame suddenly shed its disguise and burned onto its body, scorching it into wild screams.

"Good haul."

Lin Yan was delighted.

He had already prepared to leave the Abyss, yet at the last moment, he stumbled upon a Seventh-Rank Abyss Lord.

This Abyss Lord was disgusting.

Its body was composed of many Abyssal creature corpses.

Every time it ate an Abyssal creature, it kept a part of that creature and incorporated it into its own body—the more it ate, the larger and stronger it became.

But now, Lin Yan burned it to ashes in one blast.

Lin Yan gained a great deal of energy points and evolution points.

This Abyss journey ended perfectly!

"Huh, this Abyssal creature looks almost human!"

Lin Yan murmured in surprise.

Before him stood a "woman" who looked extremely human, trembling as she stared at the raging flames before her.

When facing the Zombie Lord, this woman had known how to flee and resist.

But faced with Lin Yan, who had just burned the Zombie Lord to ashes with a single flame, she was too terrified to even run.

Soon, Lin Yan noticed she differed from humans in many ways.

For instance, she radiated an aura of seductive malice.

Her figure was extraordinarily voluptuous—even more so than Princess Chenxi.

Most crucially, she naturally carried an alluring charm; any ordinary man who saw her would likely freeze in place.

If she smiled at a man, he'd likely be bewitched instantly—ready to divorce his wife and abandon his children!

"Succubus clan?"

Lin Yan recalled the Zombie Lord's earlier words.

Seeing the alluring woman trembling before him, Lin Yan's mind stirred.

Abyssal creatures are evil to the Divine Entities.

Succubi are no exception.

In past invasions of the Divine Lands by the Abyss, whenever Succubi appeared, entire human kingdoms' armies would be bewitched, then defect en masse.

Their battlefield impact was sometimes even more terrifying than an Abyss Lord's.

But that was a thousand years ago.

Now, seeing this Succubus, Lin Yan thought of something.

After the Abyss fissure sealed, even Abyss deities cannot exit without immense cost.

Nor can anyone from outside enter the Abyss.

Lin Yan himself cannot re-enter.

If he could leave behind a believer, with a thread of faith, though still blocked by the Abyss barrier, perhaps one day he'd find a way back in.

Thinking this, Lin Yan activated his flame.

"Boom!"

His flame surged violently, its temperature instantly reaching tens of thousands of degrees!

Such ferociously burning flame made the Succubus kneel prostrate.

Then she heard a voice:

"I, Lord of Flame, become my believer, and I shall grant you power!"

The Succubus beneath still trembled.

As a Succubus, her perception of souls was far keener than other Abyssal creatures.

Earlier, she had forgotten to flee because when Lin Yan appeared, she sensed, within the flame, a soul of immense power and divine aura!

It was that trace of divine aura that terrified this Succubus.

Because what appeared before her was very likely a Deep Abyss Demon God!

All Deep Abyss creatures yearn to become Deep Abyss Demon Gods.

But all fear encountering a Deep Abyss Demon God.

The Deep Abyss Demon God is capricious; in a rage, wiping out life on a Whole Layer is common!

That's why this Succubus was so terrified, too terrified even to flee.

She feared that if she ran, she would draw the attention of this powerful Deep Abyss Demon God—and be killed on a whim.

Until now, she heard that voice.

Become a follower of the Lord of Flame?

Without hesitation, the Succubus bit her tongue until it bled, then directly offered her blood into Lin Yan's flame.

"O Supreme Lord of Flame, Natasha Xiao pledges herself as your most loyal servant!"

She was far more proactive than Lin Yan had expected.

From her, Lin Yan learned the status of the Deep Abyss Demon God within the Abyss.

It was an existence that made countless Abyss creatures tremble in fear!

The offering the Succubus named Natasha presented was unmistakably a Master-Servant Pact.

She forever surrendered her soul and life to Lin Yan.

That meant, once accepting this Pact, Lin Yan could decide her life or death with a single word!

Lin Yan had originally only wanted to gain a follower, to obtain a Faith Thread, so he could attempt to find a way into the Abyss when the rift closed.

Now, this Succubus named Natasha had given Lin Yan a more direct understanding of the Abyss's law of the strong devouring the weak.

Here, there were no rules.

Strength granted absolute freedom, with not the slightest constraint!

Here, the law was chaos.

That was why this Succubus named Natasha willingly surrendered her life and death.

Because if she truly encountered a Deep Abyss Demon God, losing her life was certain.

As for her soul, it would surely be seized by the Deep Abyss Demon God—and tortured!

Lin Yan accepted the Pact offered by Natasha.

Deep Abyss creatures are fickle; even his followers might abandon their faith at any moment if Lin Yan was not present.

This was just as well.

After accepting the Pact, Lin Yan vanished from Natasha's sight.

In truth, he had already left the Abyss via the Faith Thread.

As Lin Yan had predicted, even with a Faith Thread, one must still transit through the Mocai Society when leaving the Abyss!
