Chapter 321: Arrival! Cleansing Plan!
When Princess Luo Ying and the other two set out, the time had already passed three in the morning.
After a night of turmoil, all three were in fact exhausted.
Especially Princess Luo Ying, who had not rested properly for a long time because of this matter.
Yet, after planning for so long, the outcome she finally received was far from satisfactory.
Fortunately, she had rescued her aunt and preserved the only relative she had left in this world.
After carrying passengers, the flying beasts flew at no great speed, but as pure avians, their long-distance flight speed was surprisingly fast—equal to that of the winged ones!
That was certain; the winged ones' bodies were too heavy.
They were not pure avians but possessed human traits, and once they acquired human traits, their flight naturally could not match that of these pure avians.
Unless they were extremely powerful winged ones!
So when daylight fully broke, they had already flown over five hundred kilometers, from the central region of the Heling Kingdom to its eastern region.
To avoid being seen and causing trouble, they had the flying beasts fly high, making it nearly impossible for those on the ground to spot them.
Besides, who would bother looking up at the sky for no reason?
"Princess, Misty Mountains are approaching."
After more time had passed, Ningcui said.
"Ah!"
Princess Luo Ying had actually fallen asleep on the flying beast; upon hearing this, she jolted awake and looked down to see the Misty Mountains ahead.
But the Misty Mountains had changed—right in their center, a wide, straight road had appeared!
On this road, people came and went, bustling with activity!
"Wow, when did such a wide road appear here? I don't remember seeing it the last time we came. What are these people doing?"
Ningcui asked curiously.
These past few days, she and Princess Luo Ying had been inside the princess's mansion and knew nothing of the situation here.
The elder princess looked down as well, her expression one of astonishment: "They're all transporting a kind of fruit."
"That's Divine Beans!"
Princess Luo Ying had seen them too.
Though her heart still carried unshakable sorrow, seeing this scene still surprised her:
"Ten days ago, I granted them Spread Across the Entire Territory sales permission in Yan Country. I never expected them to open a road this quickly. Judging by this, they've mobilized our people to help sell Divine Beans. I wonder who came up with this idea— whoever did is undoubtedly a genius!"
Princess Luo Ying was indeed clever.
In a short time, she had analyzed the brilliance of Lin Yan's strategy.
The elder princess did not understand the origins of Divine Beans, so some of what Princess Luo Ying said still eluded her, but what caught her attention was the road's perfect alignment.
"The Misty Mountains are filled with miasma and vast amounts of toxic gas. How was this road built? And why are the trees on both sides so perfectly aligned!"
The elder princess looked puzzled.
"Winged ones are approaching!"
Ningcui's voice rang out.
Though they flew high, winged ones still patrolled the upper skies.
"Please inform your queen: I am Princess Luo Ying of the Heling Kingdom, and I have urgent business to discuss with her."
Princess Luo Ying said.
"Please wait a moment."
A female winged one pulled out a portrait, studied Princess Luo Ying, then said:
"Come in!"
Princess Luo Ying asked: "No need to notify her?"
The female winged one replied: "The queen said that if the princess arrives with only a few people, let them pass directly. Follow me—I'll take you there!"
Shortly after Princess Luo Ying arrived at the Misty Mountains, in the eastern church of Wang Cheng, a towering temple knight emerged from the dungeon with a Face Turned Solemn expression.
"How did it go?"
Outside, a Hongyizhu Sect prelate asked.
"My lord, all our temple knights are dead—including Knight Billy. Their bodies show no wounds, but their souls are gone."
The temple knight said.
"Billy is dead too! He was a Sixth Rank Grand Knight. So does that mean the elder princess of the royal family escaped?"
The Hongyizhu Sect prelate exclaimed in surprise.
"Likely so, my lord."
The towering temple knight said.
