Chapter 412: Burn It All! Rapid Evolution!

In the Demon Insect Abyss, towering flames continued to burn endlessly.

This time, it took even less time.

In just five days, Lin Yan burned this layer of the Demon Insect Abyss clean.

Having burned this layer of the Demon Insect Abyss to ashes, even though the evolution points required for Lin Yan's next level were enormous, he still had enough stockpiled to gather the exact amount needed to level up.

Then, Lin Yan used evolution points to level up.

"Almost at Level Six Immortal Flame."

Lin Yan muttered to himself.

The last time in the Abyss, Lin Yan gained massive rewards and reached Immortal Flame.

During this period, Lin Yan's main gains came from the rewards of several wars.

In the war against the Hellin Kingdom, the divine punishment sent down by the Hellin god was burned to ashes by Lin Yan, yielding evolution points equivalent to burning a thousand drops of divine power.

With this, Lin Yan leveled up three times directly!

Next came the rewards from burning the souls of several Holy Spirits, which were equally abundant.

So in the preceding period, though Lin Yan barely lifted a finger, his own evolution speed was anything but slow.

Now, having entered the Abyss, Lin Yan could usher in a surge of rapid evolution.

So Lin Yan made no hesitation; after burning this layer of the Demon Insect Abyss to ashes, he immediately entered the layer above.

Yes, Lin Yan planned to burn through all the upper layers first.

After Lin Yan left this Demon Insect Abyss, everything within it was burned to ashes.

Not a single abyss creature, not a single abyss plant remained.

The flames had vanished, yet the air remained scorching.

But it wouldn't take long before the abyssal aura would return and reclaim this place.

Then, new abyssal plants would quickly sprout from the soil.

The demon insect eggs buried in the earth would burst forth again.

Within a year, this Demon Insect Abyss would return to its state before Lin Yan burned it.

Of course, the powerful demon insects might not reappear all at once.

Wildfires cannot be extinguished; the wind blows and they grow again.

That is the Abyss.

It cannot be utterly eradicated.

Unless Lin Yan burned every inch of the Abyss's ground into magma, incinerating every single egg within.

But even that would be useless.

It would become a new Magma Abyss, spawning countless Magma Giants.

The Magma Giants of the Abyss are far stronger than those in the underground volcanoes of the Gods' Continent.

Lin Yan could choose to use divine power to utterly destroy an entire layer of the Abyss—that would truly be cutting the roots and burning the grass.

Or burn through this layer without regard to energy points.

But Lin Yan would be insane to do that.

The Abyss has infinite layers, constantly in cycles of destruction and rebirth; wasting divine power to destroy a layer unrelated to him would be a sign of IQ bankruptcy.

He would simply take his own rewards.

The layer above the Demon Insect Abyss was a Dark Abyss, dominated by Fallen Devils, whose favored attacks—like those of Succubi—targeted elves.

They could effortlessly plunge other creatures into despair, then devour their bodies.

In the Abyss, a Fallen Devil was hunting.

Its prey was a demon insect undergoing transformation.

Demon insects were not confined to the Demon Insect Abyss; they were everywhere across other Abysses.

Countless abyssal creatures originated from transformed demon insects.

A demon insect in transformation had virtually no combat power; once discovered by this Fallen Devil, it could only submit and enter its belly.

Just as the Fallen Devil successfully swallowed the transforming demon insect, a flame surged up from the ground, instantly reducing the Fallen Devil to ash.

"This layer of the Abyss is good."

Lin Yan muttered to himself.

Immediately, he stirred up his flames.

In an instant, the flames spread across a ten-kilometer radius.

Within this range, no abyssal creature could escape.

As long as the energy point gain from burning in the Abyss balanced out, Lin Yan would choose to burn the entire layer clean.

This maximized his gains.

Searching for Abyss Lords would take time too.

Better to burn an entire layer clean, like now.

They're all chaotic creatures—burn them all!

At present, if Lin Yan ignored energy point costs, he could instantly spread his flames across a vast area.

But this time, Lin Yan planned for a prolonged campaign; though he had plenty of energy points, Yancongbu Society never wasted them.

So spreading the flames across ten kilometers was sufficient.

Then, he could burn this entire layer clean at an extremely rapid pace.

Every abyssal creature, every abyssal plant, everything would be consumed by the flames.

Five days later, Lin Yan left this completely burned-out Dark Abyss and moved upward toward the next layer.

The upper abyss, though smaller in area, had the advantage that the Abyssal Demon Gods had not yet noticed it.

Lin Yan was not yet ready to waste energy points by directly confronting the Abyssal Demon Gods.

Confronting the Abyssal Demon Gods now would be less wise than developing further as he currently was.

"Rising one more major realm should correspond to the Divine Realm."

Lin Yan muttered to himself.

After burning through this layer of the Dark Abyss, Lin Yan successfully advanced to Level Six Imperishable Divine Flame.
