Chapter 465: Ballista! Stability! Trade Decree!

To build the flying ships, the fox girl Qing Ling mobilized over a hundred thousand beastmen, working tirelessly for more than a month until everything was finally completed!

Although these past months were exhausting, their significance was immense.

Flying ships were almost exclusively an imperial monopoly, for no human kingdom possessed an alchemical workshop capable of crafting them.

Such alchemical workshops were typically opened by alchemical masters, specializing in high-end orders from top-tier nobles.

Now, when I say "top-tier nobles," I don't mean the nobles of the kingdom.

I mean the nobles of the empire.

In the Hilin Kingdom, a count was considered a top-tier noble; even in the empire, a count could qualify as such—but generally, empire counts were far wealthier than Hilin's.

The total wealth of the Sino family amounted to roughly twenty million gold coins, placing them among the top ten richest families in the Hilin Kingdom.

Don't think twenty million is small—it's gold coins!

Calculating each gold coin at the standard weight of ten grams, that's two hundred tons of gold!

If this two hundred tons were sold in Lin Yan's world before his transmigration, it would fetch over fifty billion!

Of course, the price levels between the two worlds differed; the purchasing power of gold coins couldn't be directly equated to gold in Lin Yan's former world.

Yet a single flying ship cost several million gold coins; while the Sino family could afford one, they might still hesitate to buy it.

Though they spent two million gold coins to build the Golden Hall, remember—it was constructed entirely of gold. That hall wasn't just for decoration; should the Sino family ever need cash, they could simply dismantle it, and the gold inside would still hold its value.

A flying ship, however, was pure consumption.

After purchasing it, you still had to spend money to maintain it.

Most crucially, they were nearly impossible to buy—alchemical workshops producing flying ships were overwhelmed with orders and wouldn't divert production to counts from a kingdom!

But now, Yan Country possessed a flying ship production line, mass-producing vessels once exclusive to the empire; henceforth, the speed of troop deployment for Yan Country's military would increase dramatically.

With the founding of the small empire, the presence of flying ships would greatly strengthen control over its territory.

They would also play a vital role in external expansion!

Thus, all of Lin Yan's holy maidens felt the past month's labor was worth it.

"By the way, Your Majesty, here is the crossbow from the Horden Kingdom. Horden also possesses a massive bed crossbow with a range exceeding three li; enchanted bed crossbows can reach over six li. I've acquired the manufacturing process—all blueprints and technical specifications are here. If we can produce them, we can mount them on flying ships to grant them long-range attack capability."
