Chapter 5

And it's a strong wind!

The moment has come!

This strong wind will reach Lin Yan in no more than ten seconds!

"Let's begin!"

Lin Yan activated the skill of Fierce Burning.

"Boom!"

Immediately, the small flame shot up several meters high.

It also emitted a muffled sound like an explosion!

The small flame became a pillar of fire, completely igniting the grass where Lin Yan stood!

Then it rapidly spread to the sides!

"Bigger, even bigger!"

Lin Yan consumed energy to continuously intensify the fire.

The rate of energy point consumption reached a dozen or so points per second.

At this rate, a thousand energy points would last less than a hundred seconds.

However, such a massive fire was also generating energy points at a rapid rate.

The income now matched the consumption!

But balance between income and expenditure was no longer Lin Yan's goal.

He used all incoming energy points to activate the Fierce Burning skill!

In a short time, the fire Lin Yan caused had ignited all grass and trees within dozens of meters around!

Then, the strong wind arrived!

This was precisely why Lin Yan had spared no effort to intensify the fire beforehand!

Only by maximizing the fire before the wind arrived could he use this gust to create a wildfire sweeping across the land, completing his initial accumulation of energy points!

"Boom!"

As the wind blew, the flames spread wildly.

Lin Yan moved through these burning flames, continuously raising the temperature of the outer fires!

Under the Fierce Burning skill, the outer flames were so hot that neither the green grass nor the sturdy trees could resist the fire's spread!

The wind fueled the fire!

Soon, the fire on the wasteland became a continuous expanse.

Then it formed a line, rapidly spreading in the direction of the strong wind!

The size of this wasteland was unknown.

The wasteland also contained a great number of poisonous insects and venomous snakes.

"You burned a poisonous insect, Evolution Points +0.5."

"You burned a venomous snake, Evolution Points +1."

As the fire spread, poisonous insects and venomous snakes unable to escape were continuously burned to death, and the sounds of Evolution Points gaining kept ringing out.

"You burned a Spirit-Heart Herb, Evolution Points +1."

Occasionally, Lin Yan burned some medicinal herbs with special properties and gained Evolution Points.

As for energy point income, though no notification sound came, Lin Yan could see the system panel's energy points rising rapidly.

Every second, Lin Yan gained dozens of energy points, and this number kept increasing.

Lin Yan's consumption also kept rising, but income far exceeded consumption.

"Keep going! Burn this entire wasteland to ashes!"

Lin Yan looked at the constantly fluctuating Evolution Points and energy points on the panel, brimming with energy!

Just over an hour later, Lin Yan had accumulated enough Evolution Points to upgrade his Flame Core to Level Four Wildfire.

After the Wildfire level increased, consumption rose, but correspondingly, the temperature also increased, and the speed of the fire's spread across the wasteland accelerated.

Lin Yan constantly darted along the edge of the raging fire, using energy points to enhance every flame, making the fire spread even wider.

Another hour passed, and the fire's spread across the entire wasteland had become unstoppable!

Lin Yan let out a breath of relief.

Finally, he could sit back and collect!

Oh no, collect energy points and Evolution Points!

But Lin Yan did not fully relax; he occasionally wandered along the fire's edge, igniting stubborn targets.

Two more hours passed, and Lin Yan had accumulated enough Evolution Points to upgrade to Level Five Wildfire!

The fire spread too fast; venomous snakes and poisonous insects had no time to escape.

After several hours of burning, night fell, and the wasteland blazed with towering flames!

Even the sky was stained red!

Amidst the towering flames, a particularly tall flame danced back and forth—wherever this flame passed, not a blade of grass remained, and the ground was charred black.

Lin Yan felt no fatigue, burning day and night without pause.

In the blink of an eye, he had burned continuously across this uninhabited wasteland for three full days and nights!
