Chapter 757

Without pesticides, pests are quite terrifying.

In some wild, god-forsaken regions, half of the crops grown by the barbarian tribes are fed to pests.

In the kingdoms and empires of the Continent of Gods, pest control is the duty of church mages.

Every church mage has a specialized pest-eradication spell.

Yet the Flame Empire sent not a single church mage to eliminate pests—and not a single pest could be seen—leaving Empress Tina utterly baffled.

Meng Ying said: "I don't know the exact reason, but I believe it's because my god has bestowed a blessing."

"A god's blessing?"

Empress Tina repeated it, unable to resist asking: "Meng Ying, how large is the Flame Empire now?"

She couldn't help being curious.

A god's blessing can indeed eradicate pests and accelerate growth, but the biggest problem is coverage area.

Moreover, a god's blessing requires regular renewal.

For an empire as vast as the Eternal Night Empire, separated by the Heavenly Realm barrier, even the Eternal Night Goddess would likely refuse to bestow a widespread blessing.

The cost would be too great.

It's better to have large numbers of church mages handle pest eradication and growth acceleration.

This is precisely why Empress Tina asked.

Hearing Empress Tina's words, Meng Ying fell into thought.

She and the fox girl Sister Qing Ling had already discussed it.

With Empress Tina's visit, certain matters of the Flame Empire could no longer be concealed—and there was no need to conceal them anymore.

After all, the Eternal Night Empire would not expand, and Empress Tina's attitude showed no threat toward the Flame Empire.

After a moment's thought, Meng Ying said:

"Empress Tina, I didn't tell you the truth last time—we have already conquered a small empire to the northeast and three kingdoms. The Flame Empire now has eighteen provinces, stretching nearly thirty thousand li from east to west, and almost ten thousand li from north to south!"

Upon hearing Meng Ying's words, Empress Tina's beautiful eyes slowly widened.
