Chapter 690

Above a vast desert, Ainz Ooal Gown hovered quietly in mid-air; at this moment, the crimson flames in his eye sockets were flickering incessantly.

This revealed the astonishment and shock within Ainz Ooal Gown's heart at this moment.

The instant "The Goal of All Life is Death" was activated, Ainz Ooal Gown had clearly seen the scene of Ye Yu, Erza, and the other Fairy Tail members vanishing into thin air.

Ainz Ooal Gown knew this was a space-type skill similar to high-tier teleportation.

What made Ainz Ooal Gown astonished and shocked was that after Demiurge, Albedo, and the other Guardians had used the portal to leave, he had activated space locking to prevent Ye Yu and the others from using teleportation skills to escape.

Yet even under the circumstances where he had locked the space, Ye Yu and the others were still able to use teleportation skills.

"How could this be?"

Ainz Ooal Gown's "gaze" flickered, his heart filled with confusion.

This had already exceeded his understanding.

In the past, he had also encountered opponents who could still use teleportation-type skills after he had locked the space.

But they had all been able to use teleportation-type skills only after breaking the space lock.

Just as Ainz Ooal Gown was feeling confused in his heart, Demiurge and the other Guardians teleported over once again.

After failing to find any trace of Ye Yu and the others, a joyful expression appeared on Albedo's face, and she asked Ainz Ooal Gown:

"Ainz-sama, have you finished off all those lowly humans?"

Before Ainz Ooal Gown could answer, Ye Yu, Erza... and the high-tier demons, Black Goat Young, appeared one by one.

"This, how is this possible?"

"They actually haven't died yet?"

"They survived under Ainz-sama's 'The Goal of All Life is Death' magic?"

Cocytus, Demiurge, and the other Guardians, looking at the unscathed Ye Yu and the others, were all incomparably shocked.

Equally shocked was the Platinum Dragon Lord.

After Ainz Ooal Gown activated "The Goal of All Life is Death," he had tried to teleport away at the first opportunity.

But he discovered that space had been locked.

Soon, he was dragged into an alternate space without any ability to resist.

Immediately following that, he was squeezed out by that alternate space once again.

"Ye Yu, such a terrifying guy, I actually had no power to resist..."

"If he wanted to deal with me..."

The Platinum Dragon Lord's gaze fell quietly upon Ye Yu, and a trace of lingering fear could not help but arise in his heart.

"I clearly had already locked the space, how exactly did you leave?"

Ainz Ooal Gown reached out to summon his staff and asked Ye Yu the doubt in his heart.

"Space locking?"

Ye Yu raised an eyebrow, the corners of his mouth curling up bit by bit: "All space-type skills are ineffective before me; the reason your space locking skill took effect is simply because I wanted it to."

What?

Hearing this answer from Ye Yu, the flames in Ainz Ooal Gown's eye sockets flashed.

"If you don't believe it, you can try activating space locking again!"

As soon as Ye Yu's voice fell, Ainz Ooal Gown, Demiurge, and the others successively activated their space locking skills.

"Ainz-sama, my space locking is ineffective."

"My portal also cannot be used..."

Demiurge and Aura said one after another.

Ainz Ooal Gown's heart sank to the bottom, and the skeletal hand on the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown tightened as well.

At this moment, Ainz Ooal Gown seemed to understand everything.

Whether it was Ye Yu using so many super-tier magics at the start.

Or letting his space locking take effect,

All of this was a "big move" to deceive him.

Only, what Ainz Ooal Gown did not understand was why the guy before him would know he would use "The Goal of All Life is Death."

Hum—

Just at this moment, a human figure flew over from the distance.

The instant they saw this figure clearly, Ainz Ooal Gown, Demiurge, and the others had their expressions change drastically.

"Shalltear?!"

They saw Shalltear fly to Ye Yu, bow respectfully to him, and address Ye Yu as her great master.

Ainz Ooal Gown was furious.

He had been wondering about Shalltear's status, why it was displayed as gray on the Nazarick Great Tomb's intelligence system.

So, it was someone who had controlled Shalltear.

No wonder this guy would know I would use "The Goal of All Life is Death," it was all Shalltear telling this human?!

"Demiurge, Albedo, Cocytus, Aura, Mare, Sebas..."

Ainz Ooal Gown, angry to the extreme, called out a series of names under the effect of his passive forced calmness.

"Ainz-sama..."

Those called by Ainz Ooal Gown stepped out one by one, awaiting orders.

"Except for that leader, leave no one else alive."

"Yes!"

Following Ainz Ooal Gown's order, Demiurge, Albedo, and the other members of the Nazarick Great Tomb launched an attack on Ye Yu and his group.

World-class items were deployed one after another.

A massive number of demons, undead, goblins... surged out from beneath the ground.

At this moment, Ye Yu and the others were as if placed in hell.

"Attack!"

Ye Yu also issued an order.

High-tier angels and high-tier demons from above the sky swooped down.

The Black Goat Young charged wildly, crushing one patch of skeletal undead after another.

Erza, Kagura, Shalltear, Zesshi Zetsumei, and others also threw themselves into the battle.

"Shalltear!"

Just as Shalltear transformed into a Valkyrie, Albedo, clad in black battle armor, blocked her path.

"Albedo!"

Soon, Shalltear and Albedo were locked in battle.

At the same time...

Eileen vs. Mare

Erza vs. Cocytus

Human-form Acnologia vs. Demiurge

Zesshi Zetsumei vs. Aura

Mirajane, Brandish, Dimaria, and other women were also matched against Nabe, Shizu, and the other battle maids.

Above the sky, the only ones not fighting were Ye Yu and Ainz Ooal Gown, facing each other from afar.

Ainz Ooal Gown at this moment set the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown to automatic attack mode.

The Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown summoned one massive elemental spirit after another.

And Ainz Ooal Gown himself was casting one magic buff after another on himself.

Ye Yu just watched quietly, not going to interrupt Ainz Ooal Gown.
