Chapter 71

Lucy looked at Erza with confusion.

After leaving the Fairy Tail guild, Following Ye Yu's group had completed two missions in succession.

One was to annihilate the underground church in Rubinas City.

One was to stop Jellal as commissioned by Simon.

These two missions allowed Following Ye Yu's group to obtain a reward of 2.1 million J.

In Lucy's view, having just obtained a reward of 2.1 million J, it wouldn't matter even if they didn't work for a short period of time.

But right now, they had just returned, and Erza said she was going to work.

Lucy was naturally strange.

Under the gaze of Lucy, Gray, and the others, Erza answered directly: "That, that has already been used up!"

As soon as Erza said this, Lucy and Gray were shocked.

"So fast!"

That was 2.1 million J!

"At the Tower of Heaven, that woman named Ikaruga destroyed several of my armors, so I used the reward to buy new ones!"

Lucy asked with an unexpected expression: "Eh? Are all those armors of yours bought with money?"

"That's for sure, how else did you think they came from?"

"I thought they came with the Costume Magic!"

Hearing Lucy's words, Erza also sighed, then she fixed her gaze on Following Ye Yu and asked: "Following Ye Yu, want to work together? I'm planning to take an S-Class mission; with your strength, combined with mine, any S-Class mission will be a piece of cake!"

Before Following Ye Yu could answer, Lucy on the side asked: "Didn't Macao just say that current S-Class missions require an S-Class Mage to lead the team!"

"Am I not an S-Class Mage?"

"By the way, there are currently 5 S-Class Mages in the guild!"

"Me, Mystogan, Gildarts, Laxus, and this one beside you!"

Erza pointed at Mirajane and said.

"Eh? Mirajane?"

Lucy looked at Mirajane with disbelief.

After all, in Lucy's impression, Mirajane had always been a gentle image with a smile on her face.

She really found it hard to imagine that such a Mirajane was actually an S-Class Mage on par with Erza, Laxus, and the others.

Looking at the astonishment on Lucy's face, Mirajane did not speak, only responding with a smile.

"How does one become an S-Class Mage?"

Following Ye Yu knew that in a little while, Fairy Tail would hold an S-Class Mage examination on Tenrou Island.

But what Following Ye Yu wanted to know was whether there were any other ways to upgrade to an S-Class Mage besides that examination.

After all, after upgrading to an S-Class Mage, there would be no restrictions when taking missions.

"Following Ye Yu, do you want to become an S-Class Mage?"

Hearing Following Ye Yu's question, Erza looked at Following Ye Yu and said, then continued: "Indeed, your strength is enough to be promoted to an S-Class Mage!"

"However, if you want to officially become an S-Class Mage, you need to undergo the annual S-Class Mage examination!"

"It just so happens that the S-Class Mage examination will be held soon!"

"Are there no other ways to become an S-Class Mage besides the examination? For example, being appointed by the Master!"

"Sigh, you really say shocking things; if the Master could appoint people, it would be unfair to others who want to become S-Class Mages! Anyway, the S-Class Mage examination is about to be held, so you don't need to be in such a hurry."

Erza first said this to Following Ye Yu in a sincere tone, then continued: "By the way, about the S-Class mission I just told you about, want to join?"

"Just got back, don't want to work for now!"

Seeing that Following Ye Yu actually refused Erza, Gray and Brother Na Zi were shocked.

"Brother Na Zi, did you hear that just now?"

"Yeah, Following Ye Yu actually dared to refuse Erza!"

"In our guild, except for Laxus and those few, no one dares to refuse Erza, right!"

"Yeah, and Erza actually didn't get angry!"

Brother Na Zi and Gray, who were often oppressed by Erza, couldn't help but cast admiring gazes at Following Ye Yu.
