Chapter 81

Erza's speed was incredibly fast; in just the blink of an eye, she had closed in on Laxus.

Erza did not hesitate at all, and the pitch-black longsword in her hand, which matched her Black Wing Armor, slashed through the air toward Laxus.

Whoosh—

At this moment, a flash of sword light streaked through the air.

If it had been an ordinary mage, they would have already fallen under Erza's blade by now.

But Laxus was clearly no ordinary mage.

Just as Erza's sword was about to strike Laxus, he moved his feet, his figure leaping directly into the air to avoid Erza's strike.

"Hmph, is that all you've got?"

Laxus, having leaped into the air, looked down at Erza below and spoke with a playful expression.

As he spoke, Laxus swung his palm violently toward Erza.

"Lei Guang Strike!"

A bolt of golden lightning surged directly toward Erza.

"Requip!"

The moment Laxus made his move, Erza once again channeled her magic power.

Immediately, the Black Wing Armor on her body was replaced by the silver-white Lei Guang Empress Armor.

The instant the golden lightning swept over, Erza planted the lightning spear in her hand firmly into the ground.

Hum—

A defensive magic circle appeared instantly atop the long spear.

Once the golden lightning neared Erza, the magic circle on the lightning spear absorbed the golden lightning entirely.

"Pretty impressive, Erza!"

Seeing Erza block his attack so easily, a flash of fighting spirit immediately appeared on Laxus's face.

"Before I battle Following Ye Yu, I might as well warm up a little!"

As he spoke, golden lightning had already begun to condense on Laxus's palm.

With that, he swung his large hand.

"Lei Guang Strike Spear!"

Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle—

A bolt of golden lightning, resembling a long spear, surged toward Erza at an astonishing speed.

"Lei Guang Spear!"

Facing this attack from Laxus, Erza did not dare to be the least bit negligent.

She thrust the lightning spear in her hand through the air.

Swish—

A bolt of cyan lightning swept out from the tip of the long spear.

The next second, the cyan lightning and the golden lightning collided.

Zzzzt—

At this moment, a series of thunderous explosions echoed through the great hall.

Dazzling lightning light filled the entire hall.

At this time, Following Ye Yu, who was on the roof of a tall building outside the church, was watching the battle between Erza and Laxus inside the church through the windows.

In the original story, Erza and Laxus only had a brief exchange and did not truly determine a winner.

Following Ye Yu was also very curious to see who was stronger between the Fairy Queen Erza and Laxus.

As Erza and Laxus continued to cast magic.

The mechanical notification sound of the system was also continuously transmitted into Following Ye Yu's mind.

Ding, congratulations to the host, obtained Magic Power Attribute +9

Ding, congratulations to the host, obtained Magic Power Attribute +8

……

Although Erza and Laxus were not yet using their full strength.

But when they released their magic, the magic power attribute values dropped by the system were already higher than when Natsu and Gray were fighting.

After all, both Erza and Laxus possessed magic power that did not lose to the Ten Wizard Saints.

Under Following Ye Yu's gaze, the dazzling lightning light generated by the clash of the two bolts of lightning in the church had dissipated.

The figures of Erza and Laxus appeared in Following Ye Yu's field of vision once again.

"Ho, I didn't expect you to be able to use lightning-element magic too. Then you should know the rules of combat between mages of the same element, right?"

Hearing Laxus's question, Erza responded: "Of course, battles between mages of the same element are a contest of magic power magnitude and combat experience!"

As she spoke, Erza had already charged toward Laxus.

Before Erza could even get close, Laxus's fist, condensed with light-bursting lightning, slammed toward the ground.

"Lei Guang Strike Fist!"

The moment Laxus's fist hit the ground, a golden arc of electricity tore through the floor, surging toward Erza like a living thing.

"Is this the move he used to deal with Following Ye Yu?!"

Seeing the arc of electricity sweeping over, Erza's beautiful face changed instantly, and the scene of the previous battle between Laxus and Following Ye Yu flashed through her mind.

At that time, an enraged Laxus had used this move to deal with Following Ye Yu.

It was just that Following Ye Yu had used Additive Magic to easily crush it, leaving a long, deep pit in the ground.

Erza was not Following Ye Yu.

She could not use Additive Magic.

The instant the arc of electricity swept over, Erza leaped into the air, avoiding the arc.

"Hmph!"

Seeing Erza leap into the air, Laxus grinned.

Before Erza could land, he swung both palms violently.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—

In an instant, a large number of lightning light bullets surged toward Erza like a hail of gunfire.

It was clear that Laxus had deliberately forced Erza into the air.

Mages who generally could not fly would lose their ability to dodge while in the air.

Now that Laxus was firing lightning light bullets at Erza in the sky.

Erza had undoubtedly become a sitting duck.

Boom—

Soon, a large number of lightning light bullets converged on the spot where Erza was.

At this moment, a shocking explosion sounded in the great hall.

And Erza's figure was submerged in the exploding lightning light.

However, just when Laxus thought the battle was over, a white shadow suddenly rushed out from the exploding lightning light.

It could be seen that Erza had already shed the Lei Guang Empress Armor and changed into the Heaven's Wheel Armor! ===== CHAPTER 83 =====
