Chapter 57

The five starting players put out by the Clippers are DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin, Ryan Gomes, Randy Foye, Baron Davis.

Honestly, this lineup has good talent.

The Lakers' starting lineup is Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Mike Dunleavy, Matt Barnes, Fan Xi.

Pau Gasol and DeAndre Jordan stood on both sides of the center line. As the referee blew the whistle and threw the basketball into the sky, the game started.

Pa!

Pau Gasol actually luckily defeated DeAndre Jordan, who is famous for his jumping and height and arm span.

The basketball was patted to Fan Xi.

The Lakers got off to a good start.

Fan Xi just received the basketball, and Baron Davis aggressively pressed up.

Davis was a pretty good individual defender when he was young, and he won the steal king in the 2006-2007 season and the 2003-2004 season.

When he was young, he was a player who valued speed, strength, explosive power, and jumping. Before James Harden rose, he was called the NBA's first big beard.

His height is 191, but his weight is 96 kg. For comparison, peak James Harden is 196 cm tall and weighs 100 kg... Harden has been called a heavy guard, and he is even heavier among the heavy.

Baron Davis's most glorious scene was breaking through the defense and killing into the paint, completing a dunk over the defensive master Kirilenko, and making the Mavericks unable to parry during the black eight miracle that year.

It's just that Davis, who has suffered successive major injuries, no longer possesses the explosive power and speed of the past, and his jumping has also been greatly reduced.

So, when he aggressively pressed up again, what he relied on was just... a strong body.

He intended to form a strong physical crushing posture.

Fan Xi didn't give him a chance. Fan Xi, who possesses the agility talent of peak Iverson, completed a change of direction with a dexterous crotch dribble, and then his body rotated around Baron Davis with force... Whoosh!

It was like Shaolin Kung Fu, gorgeous and agile, spinning away.

Baron Davis was like a swordsman cutting water with a knife, his impact defense became ridiculous because of Fan Xi's lightness.

Kenny Smith said loudly in the commentary booth: "This move is like Jackie Chan defeating a strong man in a movie."

Smith's comments were extremely recognized by the audience in front of the TV.

Fan Xi passed Davis's defense, he almost didn't hesitate, directly stopped at the three-point line, jumped up... shot!

He ignored Mike Dunleavy's shout at the bottom corner of the three-point line.

After the perfect arc completed in the air... Swish!

The basketball fell into the basket obediently.

Fan Xi raised his hands high.

The Clippers fans in the stadium made loud boos.

But Fan Xi turned around quickly. He didn't endure these overwhelming criticisms, but gently placed his right index finger on his lips: Shh!

Shut up.

This is Fan Xi's strong response.

Since his emergence, Fan Xi has never been used to anyone who provokes him.

This is Fan Xi's flamboyant personality.

He used actual actions to tell the NBA that he is not the second good-tempered Yao Ming, nor is he Yi Jianlian who is silent and let others point fingers. He is Fan Xi, and he cannot rub sand in his eyes.

Fan Xi's actions won the appreciation of Kobe Bryant. This is why he recognized Fan Xi from the bottom of his heart. He had long determined that Fan Xi was the same as him, with stubbornness and innate fighting spirit in his bones.

Although tonight is the Clippers' home court, Staples Center has never lacked Lakers fans. Except for two-thirds of the Clippers fans who booed Fan Xi, there were one-third of the fans who were excited because of Fan Xi's "hush" action. They made huge cheers, echoing Fan Xi's action.

Fans who care about Fan Xi in front of the TV are also like this. They watched Fan Xi come all the way, carrying a body of unyielding pride.

North American audiences extremely pursue this strong and domineering personality.

Competitive sports have never been about treating guests to dinner, never about being gentle and kind, people want to see the blood and flamboyance of men from the stadium.

Phil Knight in the VIP box nodded uncontrollably, he liked Fan Xi's actions very much.

Every move of Fan Xi projects the aura of a sports star. His temperament, his appearance, his personality, and his background... Nike cannot find a better partner.

Back then, Reebok dared to give Yao Ming a contract of 70 million US dollars, just because of the market behind Yao Ming.

Now, the market value and image bonus shown by Fan Xi... are incomparable to that Yao Ming back then.

Moreover, "centers don't sell shoes" is an immutable theorem in the sports field. Even O'Neal, who is strong, couldn't drive brand sales, and now he even endorses for a Zhongguo company at a very low price.

Baron Davis was very dissatisfied with Fan Xi's actions.

He intended to crush Fan Xi with his body again when he arrived at the front court.

This is his advantage.

But Fan Xi didn't confront him head-on, let alone accept his body collision. He always kept a distance of about half a step.

Let Baron Davis kill into the paint, and when Davis tried to lay up, he suddenly stuck to him and formed a double-team with Lamar Odom.

The big beard was so angry that he hurriedly bumped into Fan Xi and jumped to shoot... Bang!

The basketball didn't go in.

However, Fan Xi was hit by his collision, and his ribs were painful.

Pau Gasol barely protected the rebound.

Then handed it to Fan Xi.

Fan Xi didn't care about the rib pain, he launched a fast offensive, used his amazing speed to rush to the front court quickly, Baron Davis chased after him, he followed Fan Xi's pace closely, but who knew that just after following Fan Xi's side, Fan Xi suddenly passed the ball inward... Whoosh!

It was like Shaolin Kung Fu, gorgeous and agile, spinning away.

The basketball was passed to Matt Barnes who cut into the penalty area quickly, and Barnes held the ball and dunked backhand.

At this time, DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin had just rushed into the penalty area.

The Lakers played a fast break like mercury pouring down under Fan Xi's leadership.

Clippers head coach old Dunleavy stood up, walked to the sidelines, and loudly reminded the players to run actively and not let the Lakers take advantage.

His reminder made the Clippers players increase their vigilance.

But it didn't make Baron Davis dissipate his temper. He was even more angry.

Fan Xi's three-pointer and assist at the beginning made him lose face. He had sworn to end Fan Xi's miracle before the game.

Now this trend... is to become a stepping stone under the "Fan Xi miracle".

How can Davis hold it back?

He held the ball and rushed to the front court, still rushing inward... Davis's career shooting percentage has never been high, even in his peak 2006-2007 season, it was only 43.9%. His offensive choice has always been a big problem.

Most of the stars of their generation have this problem. Those like Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, and even Kobe Bryant, they always like to challenge high difficulty and strip themselves out of the system.

Baron Davis chose a mid-to-long-range jump shot that he was not good at this time... Bang!

The basketball hit the iron.

Pau Gasol patted the basketball out, and Fan Xi alertly and agilely rushed over to pick up the rebound.

Then, he passed it to Fan Xi.

Fan Xi was about to launch a fast break, but found that the Clippers players had already retreated quickly.

Fan Xi is not in a hurry.

Phil Jackson, who was sitting on the bench, was even more leisurely. He knew Fan Xi was a smart player. This is why he was relieved to trade Steve Blake and Shannon Brown, two point guards.

Fan Xi arrived at the front court. He didn't entangle with big beard Davis. He easily completed a pick-and-roll with Gasol, and then killed into the free throw line facing DeAndre Jordan's defense. Jordan followed closely... He has a good body for a defensive center, but his experience is lacking a bit.

When Fan Xi made a move to go up, he jumped up.

And Fan Xi had long ago passed the basketball to Gasol who cut in quickly on the other side. Gasol entered the land of no one... Jordan, who was flying in the air, had no ability to retreat, and could only watch Gasol smash the basketball into the basket.

Fan Xi once again controlled the situation on the court.

Fan Xi's mother asked Phil Knight in the VIP box: "Is this the biggest challenge you mentioned?"

Phil Knight shook his head with a smile.

He did hope that the Clippers' two players could give Fan Xi some pressure, but the fact is... since the beginning, Fan Xi has been dominating them.

At the same time, the stadium changed.

When Baron Davis was about to launch an offensive aggressively again, Blake Griffin made a gesture to him.

Griffin is the number one pick in 2009, the box office star of the Clippers, the foundation of the Clippers, everyone knows that the owner of the Clippers next is him, and the big beard Davis who slipped from his peak is just a temporary caretaker.

When Griffin reached out for the ball, Davis hurriedly passed it over.

Griffin is a power forward with extremely explosive physical fitness. His jumping height even refreshed the record. Since the start of the season, he has already covered the top ten dunks of the season!!

All inside players are terrified when facing the Clippers, for fear that Griffin will take off and complete a fatal dunk over them.

Lamar Odom is also worried about this.

Especially when Davis passed the basketball to Griffin.

As the culmination of the beast-style power forward, Griffin possesses ball-handling ability that Rain Man Shawn Kemp and Little Overlord Stoudemire did not possess.

Facing Lamar Odom's defense, he completed a change of direction quickly.

Lamar Odom has the habit of being distracted on the defensive end. At the moment Griffin completed the crossover, he screamed in his heart: Miserable! Done!

As long as Griffin has a step of space, he can dunk.

Lamar Odom even closed his eyes and waited for the humiliating dunk of the number one dunker in the league today.

However, what was unexpected was... Pa!

He heard a crisp sound, and then the whole audience was in an uproar... Opening his eyes and looking, Fan Xi actually took the basketball and ran towards the front court.

What's going on?

He looked at the angry Griffin next to him.

Griffin complained to the referee, and the referee was indifferent. So he and Odom looked at the big screen above their heads at the same time.

It turned out that just now Griffin passed Lamar Odom, started to collect the ball and was about to dunk... Fan Xi suddenly flashed from behind Pau Gasol like a ghost, and then his amazing long arms slashed down like a hand knife... hitting the basketball held tightly in Griffin's hand.

The basketball was slashed away by him.

Rushed towards the front court.

The scene was in an uproar, and the Clippers fans were extremely painful.

They came to the stadium to witness the destruction of the Lakers' miracle child Fan Xi by Davis and Griffin, but they didn't expect that since the beginning, they watched Davis being abused by Fan Xi. They finally placed their hope on the number one pick Griffin, but didn't expect Griffin's first ball to be stolen directly from behind by this cunning guy!

How painful the Clippers fans were, how excited the Lakers fans were.

They made excited and high-spirited cheers in every corner of the stadium.

They celebrated the continuation of the Fan Xi miracle.

Especially when Fan Xi passed Davis's defense in the front court, killed into the penalty area, and used a layup to complete the end.

The Lakers fans at the scene made a sound that made people excited.

At the same time, the stars on the sidelines also cheered.

Director Nicholson stood up and took off his hat to pay tribute to Fan Xi.

Tai Lei Si Wu Fu Te pulled her father's hand to cheer for Fan Xi, and Jenner... she also jumped up and down excitedly!

Di!

Old Dunleavy had to request a timeout. Since the beginning, the Clippers were still zero.

And the Lakers were blooming everywhere under Fan Xi's leadership.

"Jack even dominated the stadium." Kenny Smith said admiringly.

Charles Barkley was a little unconvinced, he said: "The game has just started, maybe the Clippers haven't found the right rhythm yet?"

Kenny shrugged, he didn't want to argue with Barkley.

At this time, Nike President Phil Knight said to Fan Xi's mother in the VIP box: "You gave birth to a great son, we have no reason to miss the cooperation with him."

"So, I decided to invest 30 million US dollars in your company, provide you with sufficient cash, and at the same time we will build the most professional team for you, responsible for global operation, you are responsible for providing the brand and production. We only want 51% of the shares, how about it?"

"In fact, Michael Jordan didn't get such a high share."

Phil Knight said sincerely, and added: "At the same time, the brand will also pay you OEM fees."

Wu Su smiled and said something that surprised Phil Knight: "30 million US dollars, Fan Xi's father and I can sell our family property, and then find relatives and friends to gather it, raise funds, maybe we can't take it out."

"If you go to Zhongguo or Asia for a walk, I don't think you will say such an absurd proposal. It's not the 80s now, sir."

Wu Su refused Phil Knight's offer cleanly.

Phil Knight was not angry, this was just his test.

As a mature businessman, it is impossible to say his bottom line in the first quote.

At this time, he said to Wu Su: "Maybe there will be some other situations later? Basketball is round, anything can happen, ma'am."

Wu Su smiled and said: "No matter what happens, I believe in my son."

Phil Knight didn't speak, he chose to continue observing.

At the same time, the big beard Davis who returned to the bench said to Blake Griffin: "We can't go on like this, Blake."

Griffin looked up, and he also realized the seriousness of this matter.

Because once they can't block Fan Xi in this game, they are finished.

This is a battle of reputation that cannot be lost.

And it is a battle of fate.

"We must unite, we must use the power of two people to deal with him alone." Davis said seriously.

This sentence sounds a bit absurd, but it really happened.

A former superstar, a number one pick, they actually want to join forces to deal with an undrafted player.

It's simply unbelievable to say it out.

Griffin nodded seriously, and he reached out to high-five Davis.

They high-fived to form an alliance, and it was a deal.

Next, join forces to double-team Fan Xi!
