But once he was there, what was he supposed to do?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>How long could he truly keep these constructs at bay, when they were the only things in the world said to be greater than he?\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As Abaddon flew, he felt something hard strike his back and knock him off course.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>White streaks shot across his vision as his body spun out of control.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He crash landed in a domain too far away to quantify.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It was a holy land, filled with convening gods who wielded foreign divinities and bolstered unseen appearances.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Some recognized Abaddon. Most did not.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Understandably, those who knew him were greatly perplexed as to why a beast they had only heard about in legends was being attacked.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And by four identical pursuers at that.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Ophanim who had knocked Abaddon off course was the first to reach him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He lifted Abaddon up by the back of his neck and pointed his blade towards the eye in the center of his chest.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon caught the sword between his palms just as it came dangerously close to piercing him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A red miasma seeped out of his pores. His eyes glowed like new moons in a clear sky.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He turned to the gods standing around, stupefied by the battle they couldn’t understand.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>With his last bit of sanity, he gave them a single warning.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>’RUN!’\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Confused and terrified, the gods scrambled to exit the realm as the situation became even more dire.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon looked above his head and saw a giant hand coming towards him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He abandoned his stalemate with the first Ophanim and moved so that he wouldn’t be crushed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Or at least he tried to.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Before he could move out of the way, one of the angels stabbed him through the thigh and stapled his leg in place.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>If he had another fragment of a microsecond, he would have ripped his leg free and kept moving without so much as a change in expression.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But he was out of time.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The force of the giant Ophanim’s palm came down on top of his head.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His arms instantly shot up to protect him from being crushed like an insect.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>After returning from the nightmare realm, his physical strength was not everything that it should have been.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His knees didn’t buckle underneath the pressure of the angel’s palm, but they did bend.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And that burned him up inside like nothing else imaginable.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It didn’t matter to Abaddon that he wasn’t at his best. He wasn’t a fan of making excuses for himself.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His pride had been stepped on too many times today.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>For the first time in millennia, he had to run from an adversary.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Granted, he was luring them away to make sure that his family didn’t get hurt, but that hardly made a difference in his mind.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Against any other opponent in his home realm, Abaddon was greater than every other god combined.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He could drain the marrow from an enemy’s bones and have it fill up a soda can without moving a muscle. And it would take him less time than he needed to blink.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon had always believed himself to be untouchable at home. Absolute.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He never thought that there would come a day when he’d have to flee Tehom.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The fact that he was chased out of there by enemies who didn’t even have souls or minds of their own was so upsetting that it nearly drove him mad.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It was like being chased out of your home by a toy car.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His head was pounding. He could feel blood rushing to his every extremity as his skin turned pitch black.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>&^%$@*. #$%@&*! #$%@^!!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The ground underneath Abaddon’s feet cracked and started to sink.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Tremors shook the realm as this great and heavenly domain started to unravel.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Tendrils of fabric that held the plane together started to fray, resulting in parts of the landscape disappearing.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>If this realm were a finished canvas, then Abaddon’s madness was peeling paint off the walls.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The dragon’s vision had become filled with red. He could barely see silhouettes ten feet in front of him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But he didn’t miss the moment where two angelic figures appeared in the crater with him while he was holding up their brother’s hand.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He clenched his teeth so hard he nearly broke them.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Of course, they were closing in for the attack now. He was pinned here for crying out loud.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon’s rage saw another upsurge. He couldn’t believe an enemy was actually attempting to corner him like he was some wild game.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He opened his mouth again, with his voice not fully recovered. Blood slipped past his lips just as easily as venomous words.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Do you think I’m going to sit here and weep...? Buckle and beg...? Every star will burn out from the sky before you see me dead!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon used a tremendous amount of energy to create a second body.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Once that body was clear of the crater, he sent a single command to the duplicate pinned underneath the large Ophanim.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Saying an apology to the animals and plant life living within the realm, the original Abaddon forced his body to begin glowing.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>In the next moment, an explosion occurred that was completely unlike any that had ever preceded it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Saying that it was loud didn’t even begin to cover the damage. It was apocalyptic.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>In a single blink of an eye, an entire realm was blown apart.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There, in the space between realms, shreds of debris and wisps of flame were all that remained.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And of course, competitors.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon was breathing heavily.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He’d somehow sustained a head wound in the blast. More blood leaked down the left side of his face and into his eye.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As his chest rose and fell, a helpless smile formed on his lips.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His hoarse voice was the only sound that could be heard in the middle of limbo.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I... never want to hear anyone say anything about me being too overpowered ever again.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Floating in limbo with Abaddon were all four of the Ophanim.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Two of them were missing an arm or a wing and their bodies looked to be on the verge of cracking.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>However, the third, larger clone hovered just behind them.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As far as Abaddon could tell, it was only missing a hand.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>’That fucking hand’ he growled to himself before realizing something was wrong. ’... Wait.’\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon finally noticed that he was missing an enemy.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He looked around, but didn’t find the last one anywhere near him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>’Don’t tell me...’\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He looked up through his blood-streaked vision.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Staring back at him was perhaps the single largest enemy Abaddon had ever faced.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The reason he couldn’t find the fourth Ophanim before was that he was standing in the center of its palm.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As for how long it had been there, he couldn’t say.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>For the first time in a long time, Abaddon found himself feeling as if a situation was absurd.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He threw his head back and laughed without knowing the reason.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He ignored the pain in his throat. In his stomach.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Some instances simply demanded laughter, regardless of the consequence.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He wiped a tear from one of his eyes as he finally calmed himself down.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I haven’t had to push myself like this in so long... I’m going to sleep for a month after this.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Once more, Abaddon’s body began to glow with an innate light.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"It is going to be... tremendously satisfying when I feel your heads crack beneath my-\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"QUAKE IN YOUR BOOTS, GOLEMS!! THE GOLDEN ONE IS HERE!!!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon’s jaw dropped open when he saw a large golden dragon suddenly appear in limbo with him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He was equal parts stunned and horrified, so the only word that ended up escaping his lips was: \"...Grandfather?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Helios expanded his size to it’s utmost limits.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He rammed all three of his heads into the largest Ophanim present and succeeded in knocking it back.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Though this only lasted a fraction of a second before the giant corrected itself while seemingly no worse for wear.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"You’d better duck, old man!!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Behind Helios, a colossal sword of red light formed out of thin air.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The blade hovered just above the hands of Kanami and Hakon; gaining more power and size with every second that went by.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Roaring together, Kanami and Hakon brought the blade down on top of the titan’s head.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The two damaged Ophanim formed a wall of divine light to protect their brother.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Abaddon was mortified as more and more of his family started showing up.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He tried to yell out and tell everyone to flee, but his voice failed him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A familiar figure filled his vision and placed a hand over his lips.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Sif took one look at her husband and her eyes began to water.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Her tears turned to snow on her cheeks and she brushed them away angrily.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I swear to god....
