TAIYOU!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Apophis yelled out to Amaterasu, but she didn't seem capable of speaking back.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>She gasped desperately for so long, but no air seemed to fill her body.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And Apophis didn't miss the reason why.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Situated right in the middle of Amaterasu's chest was a hole around the size of a softball.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It traveled all the way through to the other side of her body. Apophis could see the floor they were standing on through her.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He desperately placed his hand over her wound and began desperately trying to heal her.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His eyes stung from the ash and his turbulent emotions.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>All he could see was the trail of red blood running from her lips and pooling onto the floor.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Apophis' magic was successfully regrowing bone and tissue alike.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The only problem was… her life force was still slipping away from her. No matter the amount of magic he poured, she still wasn't coming back.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I'm not in the mood for you to be difficult, woman..!\" Apophis hissed. \"Wake up, now!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>That was the moment that Apophis' hope fled him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Amaterasu was a fiery, hard headed woman who ordinarily would have responded to his outburst with her own.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But she didn't this time.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Instead, she used all of the strength she had to place her hand on top of Apophis'. Her dimming eyes silently pleading for him to stop.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But Apophis was hard headed, and a being of tremendous power.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He had a difficult time just giving up on the things he wanted. Least of all a matter as… sensitive as this one.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Apophis' desperation made him break a rule that he was traditionally pretty adamant about.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He began trying to rewind time.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The smoke and ash ceased to billow freely in the air. Instead it started to flow backwards.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The doors to the hall that had flown off during the initial explosion were putting themselves back to where they came from.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Amaterasu was affected too. Her body left Apophis' grip and and started heading towards the hallway.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Now, all Apophis had to do was get to her before-\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"That's… inconvenient. Undoing all of another man's hard work. Do you have any concept of manners?\" A foreign voice said.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>All of the sudden, Apophis felt 'something' fighting against his attempt to reverse time.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Finally, his mind snapped out of it's shock. And he realized the full gravity of what had just happened.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He'd been attacked. Him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Unprovoked and with no prior warning at all.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And he hadn't even sensed anything coming beforehand.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>At the moment the realization dawned on him, he felt a visceral rage overtake him the likes of which he had never known or experienced before.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A man walked through the dust, unencumbered by Apophis' attempt to reverse time.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He was a man who stunk of demon kind. Neatly dressed and with a handsome, unassuming face that one might find anywhere.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He wore a simple black sweater with dark grey slacks and smart shoes.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He lifted his hand and gestured to some form of laceration across his chest.
