Chapter 835: The Ballon d'Or is Tang Ye's Final Glory Before the World Cup

"Next, the winner of this year's FIFA Ballon d'Or is... Tang Ye!"

The host held the microphone and applauded first, quickly stirring the venue into an uproar.

Clap clap clap!

Clap clap clap!

Tang Ye rose from his seat, bowing and expressing gratitude in every direction.

Dembélé slapped Tang Ye hard on the back, and the two shared an embrace.

Cristiano Ronaldo also stood up, shook hands with Tang Ye, then embraced him; afterward, the latter began walking toward the podium.

"Tang Ye, Manchester United and China..."

"This is the ultimate winner of the 2022 FIFA Ballon d'Or, marking the fourth time the player himself has received this award."

Tang Ye and the host clapped, approached the podium, and accepted the Ballon d'Or trophy from the presenting guest.

Clap clap clap clap!

Clap clap clap clap clap!

【Haha, my Tang Tang Qiuwang is not far from winning five Golden Balls.】

【Is this a god? Boo hoo hoo, I've practically watched this god grow up.】

【Damn it, forget the World Cup for now; let's enjoy this first—the Ballon d'Or is just awesome.】

【Boss Luo really likes Tang Ye; he even made a special trip. But are we sure Cristiano Ronaldo's ranking is correct? I feel like Cristiano Ronaldo should have around 15?】

Cristiano Ronaldo's tendency to lean toward Tang Ye's side was becoming increasingly obvious, directly causing this Portuguese legend's previously poor reputation to rapidly reverse in China; even some Barcelona and Paris fans expressed support for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano, since you are so firmly standing on the side of my Ggbond, granting you a period of immunity from criticism is no big deal.

Keep it up, stick closely behind Ggbond, and your treatment won't be bad!

"Thank you, thank you everyone."

Clutching the Ballon d'Or, Tang Ye only began answering the host's questions after the venue grew slightly quiet.

"Winning for the first time, uh... actually not the first time; I suppose winning for the second time was the most exciting, because last year I received two Ballon d'Or awards at once; that was the most exciting moment."

Tang Ye stated that having stood on this podium three times, the intensity of his excitement ranked: second time greater than first time greater than third time.

Although this time wasn't as exciting as the previous two, to be honest, the feeling of winning the award was still very good.

"TY, we know your total number of Ballon d'Or awards has now reached four, leaving only a one-award gap behind Ronaldo and Messi's five Golden Balls, and you are currently only 23 years old."

"At present, it seems very likely you could become the first player in football history to win six Ballon d'Or awards, and moreover, to win six consecutive Golden Balls (without interruption)."

"This..."

"There are still two awards away from six; whether I can win that many is hard to say right now. However... I will do my utmost to seize every opportunity."

Clap clap clap clap!

Clap clap clap clap!

Amid the applause, Tang Ye kissed the Ballon d'Or trophy in his hands, then subsequently raised the trophy high with one hand.

Check Dongqiu Di pinned post: Tang Ye wins the 2022 Ballon d'Or, the fourth award of his career.

The award for Club of the Year was accepted on stage by Tang Ye as the representative, so in total, Tang Ye went on stage three times today.

As the hottest star of this year's Ballon d'Or ceremony, Tang Ye was surrounded by reporters as he left the venue after the event concluded; additionally, the player himself received congratulations from numerous friends on social media, including Pogba, Bruno, Ramsdale, and others, not to mention Escrivá and James.

Exclusive interview with the France Football Ballon d'Or winner—Tang Ye:

The entire interview lasted over half an hour; watching the full video can be somewhat tiring, so fans prefer viewing the text summary version.

The video is very long, yet the text summary is pitifully short; this can only indicate one thing: Tang Ye has learned many bad habits from his mentor Ten Hag, spending much of his time talking nonsense!

1. Expresses optimism regarding Gavi's potential; every Goalkeeper Goalkeeper Kepa Award winner is special; will not offer advice to Gavi because he does not fully understand the techniques of Spanish players, but hopes to engage in some exchange in the future if opportunities arise.

2. Manchester United is a great club; there is no doubt about that.

3. Will challenge Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo's record of five Golden Balls, but this will still require some time.

4. Sometimes believes himself to be the world's best, but being the world's best requires proof over time; compared to other legendary players, his football experience is still too limited.

5....

The fifth summary point concerns Ten Hag; however, in this summary, the person responsible for summarizing—that is, the author—suggests fans skip the video to the 26-minute 44-second mark to watch Tang Ye's response, because the author states, "This segment is very interesting."

Following the instructions to skip the interview video to 26 minutes and 44 seconds, the camera shows a female reporter; she is the guest responsible for interviewing Tang Ye today.

"As one of the greatest players today, you are a firm executor of Ten Hag's tactical philosophy; so, what is Erik to you?"

"Well, Erik is an excellent coach; he is in my..."

To this question, Tang Ye gave a very decisive answer, with not a hint of hesitation in his eyes.

Then came the next question: "So, how do you view the current controversies surrounding him on the internet?"

"..."

In stark contrast to his earlier decisiveness, upon hearing this question, Tang Ye fell completely silent.

Judging by his expression, Tang Ye was undergoing an intense internal struggle.

In other words—his brain was itching.

"Hmm, I am aware of the controversy surrounding Sitting Like; much of what has been said is greatly exaggerated. Sitting Like and Ferran came to blows, and I strongly oppose such actions; this is not an appropriate way to resolve problems."

The reporter first nodded, then added a few more things.

What she wished to ask about was not merely the brawl between Ten Hag and the Escribá Boxing Gym.

Compared to the physical altercation, the reporter was more eager to know Tang Ye's views on Cristiano Ronaldo's remarks.

"Do you believe what Ronaldo said is correct? Do you support him?"

"..."

Tang Ye leaned his upper body back, his expression terrifyingly serious.

The full view of the midfielder in the lens gave one the impression that his heart was filled with hesitation, completely unsure of what to do next.
