Chapter 917: The Long-Awaited Paul Pogba: The Club World Cup Animal Kingdom

Check Dongqiu Di Match Report: Paris defeats Inter 3-0 to claim their first-ever Champions League title! Doué scores twice and provides an assist, while Hakimi slays his former club.

Under head coach Enrique's leadership, Paris Saint-Germain secured the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France, and finally the Champions League this season, achieving the magnificent treble honor.

In recent years, Ligue 1 teams have not performed well in the Champions League; Paris has stepped up to restore the league's dignity.

After winning the Champions League, Paris will depart for France to fully compete in next month's Club World Cup, seeing if they can achieve a quadruple crown.

Paris fans are undoubtedly the most excited group right now, as the revamped Club World Cup's prestige is fully comparable to the World Cup.

"We will fully compete for next month's Club World Cup; although this will greatly reduce my vacation time, I do not care."

Paris goalkeeper Donnarumma said in a post-Champions League interview: "The revamped Club World Cup is very interesting; I think we should be able to win a $100 million champion's bonus."

A L'Équipe journalist reposted Donnarumma's interview video on social media, attaching Paris's Club World Cup group draw situation.

Group B: Paris Saint-Germain, Porto, Botafogo, Seattle Sounders.

【Porto fans are already trembling; damn, how do we play this? Can the Champions League winner let two of us through?】

【This draw is too monstrous; Paris will definitely finish first in the group...】

【Enrique really has something special.】

【Teams participating in the Club World Cup seeing Paris: Don't come over here!】

【Hahaha, this draw is great; it would be comfortable if Al-Hilal's group were this good too.】

Glancing at the comment section, at least half the fans on Check Dongqiu Di have donned the Al-Hilal crest, clearly due to Tang Ye's transfer.

Compared to Paris's perfect draw, Al-Hilal's lottery result is not so comfortable.

Although Al-Hilal is the AFC Champions League winner, the treatment for the AFC and UEFA Champions League winners is not on the same level at all; even though Al-Hilal went undefeated in the AFC Champions League this season, they can only depart for the Club World Cup as the third seed, which indirectly led to the team's terrible draw.

Group H: Real Madrid, Benfica, Al-Hilal, Inter Miami.

Bad news: One Real Madrid and one Benfica; neither is a minor character.

Good news: We are grouped with an MLS team, so we can beat up Boss Messi while playing in the Club World Cup.

Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Philadelphia Union Training Center.

"Fans very much hope we swap positions with Al-Nassr."

"Huh? Swap stadiums? What's different between here and Miami? I feel training here is even better; it's already very close to the stadium."

"No, no, they are talking about our draw position."

Mitrovic explained, since Tang Ye had just misunderstood what he said.

"Oh, swap draw positions? Is their group very good? I haven't seen it."

Tang Ye shook his head and smiled bitterly: "Anyway, it's definitely better than ours."

"Haha, yes. But what they're talking about isn't the group draw either."

Mitrovic shrugged his shoulders: "Mainly, if we swap positions with Al-Nassr, Ronaldo will have to play against Messi."

"Right now, many of Ronaldo's fans hope Al-Nassr plays Inter Miami, because as you know, if Al-Nassr plays Inter Miami, it will definitely be a beating."

"..."

Tang Ye was speechless: "Well, but that seems to have nothing to do with us. Actually, I don't really like playing matches against Ronaldo, Messi, and the likes."

"Why? Is the pressure too great?"

Mitrovic raised an eyebrow, wanting to understand Tang Ye's thoughts.

"It's not a pressure issue; it's just public opinion. When playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, I had to be very careful, especially during matches; I needed to appear very friendly with Ronaldo."

"Actually, our relationship is indeed quite good, but if I collide with Ronaldo during a match, then, Alexander, do you know what will happen next?"

Mitrovic answered without thinking: "Fans will spread rumors online, saying you and Ronaldo have fallen out."

"Yes, exactly like that."

Tang Ye patted Mitrovic, very happy that his teammate could guess what he was about to say: "And it's the same when playing against Messi. Although Inter Miami is indeed not very strong, I would rather play against a more powerful fourth-seed team."

"Haha, it's all the same. Anyway, we will definitely beat Inter Miami; the key is Real Madrid and Benfica."

Mitrovic signaled Tang Ye not to think about Inter Miami anymore and to focus his attention on the other two opponents.

Real Madrid and Benfica; these are Al-Hilal's biggest opponents in this Club World Cup.

Actually, this draw result came out several months ago; at that time, the Al-Hilal base was filled with wails, as they realized they seemed to have no chance in the Club World Cup knockout stage.

However, after a few days, the Al-Hilal players adjusted their emotions.

Al-Hilal's seasonal goal is to win the Saudi Pro League title and then strive to win the AFC Champions League.

Actually, just winning the AFC Champions League is enough; the Club World Cup was never in the team's plans, so even if they lose, no one will say much.

June 5th; at this time, the football world is shrouded in two topics: the Club World Cup and the Ballon d'Or winner, and since the Ballon d'Or selection is closely related to the Club World Cup, everyone's attention has shifted to the Club World Cup.

However, it is still early before the Club World Cup kicks off, and today Al-Hilal fans welcomed some good news.

Well... strictly speaking, it cannot be determined whether this is good news.

At the Philadelphia Union Training Center, head coach Simeone Inzaghi walked onto the training ground with Pogba.

"Wow!"

The Al-Hilal players warming up on the field noticed Pogba's arrival, among them Tang Ye, who had already raised his right hand: "Paul!"

"Tom!"

"Haha!"

Pogba and Tang Ye embraced: "Finally back to a professional team."

"You were always meant to play professional football, not some street football. I watched the video you filmed with Speed (Hyperthyroid Brother); you shook him badly on the street court, but as I've said, the place you truly belong is the professional pitch."

Tang Ye and Pogba bumped fists.

As a Russia World Cup champion, the French midfielder standing before Tang Ye was once infinitely glorious, yet no one expected that after transferring from Dortmund to Juventus, he was found guilty of a doping violation, and his ban only ended this March.

Because he had not played football for a full two years, after the competition ended, no elite clubs from the Premier League or La Liga were willing to invite him, even though Pogba was already a free agent at the time and clubs would not have to pay any transfer fee to sign him.
