Chapter 150: Titan Symbiotic Armor Devour Complete

~18 min read 3,443 words

In the Morcasa Star System, thick black smoke billowed from the surface of Morcasa Prime, its earth fractured and torn.

Massive ravines could be seen even from space, a stark testament to the sheer scale of devastation the planet had endured.

The Pathos Frigates navigated the distant orbit while the Pathos Flagship slowly pierced through the atmosphere. Despite its seemingly sluggish pace, the intense friction ignited an arcing fiery shield around the vessel.

All the frigates quietly returned to their formations, yet none of the captains could calm their racing hearts.

They could clearly see a distinct fissure etched across the hull of the Pathos Flagship, nearly tearing the entire vessel in half.

The flagship had been severely damaged!

Rui Jin stood at the Command Console, his eyes bloodshot and his jaw tightly clenched. He looked somewhat lost and overwhelmed.

"Your Highness... should we destroy Morcasa Prime?"

"Rui Jin..." Prince Saster's voice was slightly hoarse. "Do not let anger cloud your judgment. Destroying this planet now holds no meaning. Instead, it would only place us in the eye of the storm of public opinion."

Saster appeared entirely tranquil, his gaze as calm and undisturbed as an ancient well. "Request Dark Star's contact information from the Star Glory Empire... I want to ask him exactly what happened here."

"Additionally, let those Marauders take a stroll through Morcasa..."

"Understood!" Rui Jin's heart skipped a beat. He knew that beneath that calm exterior, Saster was likely suppressing boundless fury.

Every captain awaited Saster's orders. Over the communication channel, Prince Saster's voice remained even, uttering only a single command: "Return!"

The massive fleet synchronized and initiated their Jump State.

......

On an unnamed Life Planet somewhere in the Universe, no one knew exactly where this place was.

Dark Star lay on the earth, his body completely covered in blood-red streaks. He was entirely naked, gasping heavily as his veins bulged and a violent, thumping heartbeat echoed from his chest.

The chilling killing intent in his eyes was fierce enough to obliterate everything in its path. He constantly muttered a single name.

Li Yu!

He had no idea what had happened to him earlier, but he was absolutely certain that it was all that bastard's doing.

The price of unleashing his Genetic True Form was exceptionally severe, especially for a lifeform like him who had only recently integrated an A-Class Gene Chain.

Copious amounts of blood poured from his body, soaking the earth beneath him into a deep crimson.

If one were to look down from the sky, they would clearly see a pair of colossal footprints, as if a terrifying Ferocious Beast had stomped across the land. Dark Star lay perfectly in the center of one of those prints.

......

The Inuit Hub, a massive space station jointly established by the Amethyst Civilization and the Tyron Chamber of Commerce.

This Star Sector was originally completely empty, but it served as a relatively close navigational route into the Amethyst Civilization.

Most starships passing through here were previously forced to take long detours to distant Life Planets just to restock their supplies.

The Tyron Chamber of Commerce keenly spotted the business opportunity. They partnered with the Amethyst Civilization to construct the Inuit Hub in this sector, and as a result, they raked in massive fortunes.

Seven days later, Li Yu and his group finally arrived at the Inuit Hub. Although it was a formal Transfer Station, the regulations were not quite strict enough to require an Admission Protocol for arriving ships.

However, identity verification was absolutely mandatory. Without a legitimate Identity, entry into the Inuit Hub was strictly forbidden.

Fortunately, that Major Snakehead clearly had a way around this. A ten-kilometer-long Transport Ship rendezvoused with them, seamlessly packaging their vessel to look like a brand-new starship.

The Transport Ship was loaded with pristine vessels, likely meant for sale, and the ship belonging to Li Yu's group blended perfectly among them.

Coupled with the Major Snakehead's bribes and connections, they slipped into the Inuit Hub without a hitch.

The Inuit Hub was funded by the Tyron Chamber of Commerce, while the Amethyst Civilization handled the construction and security. As a result, the architecture heavily favored the Amethyst Civilization's style.

Influenced by their technology, the Amethyst Civilization favored sharp angles and precise facets. Crystal-like structures could be seen everywhere, and even the overall shape of the Inuit Hub resembled a giant crystal.

The primary color palette was purple, giving the station a translucent and mystical appearance. Perhaps due to their political structure, the sharp, angular buildings also conveyed a profound sense of strict hierarchy.

The towering command dispatch center and the military garrisons overlooked the entire Inuit Hub. Amethyst tracks webbed across the station, with individual amethyst blocks transporting various lifeforms swiftly back and forth.

The lifeforms here hailed from all corners of the interstellar world. Native Amethyst citizens were actually quite rare; the vast majority of the population consisted of travelers stopping to resupply.

"How did it end up like this..."

"How did it end up like this..."

Li Yu continually muttered this phrase, holding the Amethyst Core that had shrunk by nearly half. An agonizing heartache over the staggering expense filled his entire being.

Only 426 grams remained. It was an astonishing figure. The Titan Symbiotic Armor had devoured exactly half of it. Based on market prices, he had just watched over forty billion Star Coins vanish.

That much wealth was more than enough to outright buy a Life Planet and lord it over everyone there as a tyrant.

Of course, reality did not quite work that way. The market price was just an estimate, and Li Yu would never actually be able to sell it for that exact amount, but the sheer loss was still agonizing to his wallet.

In exchange, however, the Titan Symbiotic Armor had completed a massive metamorphosis.

The armor's left arm extended layer by layer, dense metallic blocks rippling like waves to form a gray Shipbreaker Blade. It rapidly elongated to ten meters before snapping back down to three meters.

The blade edge inverted, replaced by Black Crystal. This Black Crystal swiftly flowed across the surface of the Titan Symbiotic Armor, capable of forming defenses anywhere at will, rather than solely serving as a crystal edge.

However, this Black Crystal looked slightly turbid, with some flocculent impurities suspended within it, though it was slowly undergoing self-repair.

Unlike mechanical arms that could infinitely replicate themselves as long as there was enough energy, this Shipbreaker Blade could not infinitely divide on the Titan Symbiotic Armor. Its formidable power inherently relied on the physical material, not just technological replication.

At the very least, the current Titan Symbiotic Armor could not synthesize special materials on its own, regardless of how much energy it possessed.

The Lius Grey Gold not only boasted exceptionally high thermal conductivity, but its hardness also continuously increased when subjected to extreme temperatures.

The Black Tanzanite Inert Low-Activity Crystal, simply known as Black Crystal, was the very material edging the Shipbreaker Blade. Its function went without saying; Li Yu had intimately experienced its extraordinary resistance to energy.

Although the internal structure was somewhat damaged by Li Yu's thunder-sphere attack, it could still be used at a stretch, and it was gradually repairing itself.

The Amethyst Engine had been assimilated by the Cube Power, acting as an energy relay.

Previously, the Cube Power acted merely as an energy reservoir with no way to regulate output efficiency. Consequently, Li Yu had to manually initiate even the Overload State.

But now, the addition of the Amethyst Engine was akin to installing a high-powered water pump to regulate the flow.

Meanwhile, the Amethyst Core, worth over forty billion Star Coins, merely draped the Titan Symbiotic Armor in a faint layer of purple light.

"Master, this purple light can weaken external attacks. I can only provide specific numerical data after field-testing it in actual combat."

Claptrap was not entirely sure of the exact parameters. Without hesitation, Li Yu ordered Li Ping to transform and attack him.

"No, I would rather die than raise a hand against you!" Li Ping stiffened his neck, stubbornly refusing to attack, even threatening suicide instead.

"Forget it, I will do it myself..." Li Yu was completely speechless, watching as Li Ping practically started reaching for his own throat.

The Titan Symbiotic Armor's other arm underwent a mechanical transformation, its intricate internal structures interlocking perfectly layer by layer.

An Energy Cannon formed. This was the long-range offensive weapon assimilated from Yu Jin.

"First test, ten percent power!"

The Cube Power flickered relentlessly. Dense blue energy gathered in a flash, and a blazing energy beam slammed directly into Li Yu's own body.

Brilliant purple light rippled. Li Yu only felt a slight tremor run through his physical form; it was barely noticeable.

"Second test, one hundred percent power!"

This time, the energy accumulation took longer. The sheer power of the energy beam caused the interior lights of the entire spaceship to flicker erratically. If Li Yu had not tried his best to contain the residual energy shockwaves, the vessel would have undoubtedly sustained damage.

This time, he clearly felt a sting of pain, but it was nowhere near unbearable. After all, beneath the purple light membrane lay the formidable physical defense of the Titan Symbiotic Armor itself.

Claptrap's voice soon rang out, "Master, this light barrier can completely ignore any attacks below the C-class threshold. It can weaken C-class attacks by up to seventy-five percent, and B-class attacks by approximately forty-five percent."

Following that, Li Yu raised the Shipbreaker Blade and fiercely slashed at the purple light barrier. It proved equally effective at weakening physical attacks.

Obtaining this result, Li Yu was pleasantly surprised. He had not expected this inconspicuous layer of light to possess such remarkable effects.

"Does that mean, while wearing the Titan Symbiotic Armor, I can finally go toe-to-toe with a B-Class Lifeform?" Li Yu estimated.

"B-Class Lifeforms possess extreme diversity. Whether your opponent is a Mechanical Cyborg, a Genetic Evolution Body, or an Esper... the outcome will vary drastically," Claptrap analyzed for a moment before arriving at a conclusion.

"Based on theoretical projections, your life will not be in imminent danger."

The power makeup of any individual was incredibly complex. For instance, a Mechanical Cyborg might not have every single mechanical part up to the standard of their overall grade.

Take Yu Jin, for example. Only his external armor and various weapon systems had reached the B-class standard; his internal structural integrity was severely lacking.

This was a common ailment among many Mechanical Cyborgs. They simply did not have the funds to upgrade every single component.

Genetic Evolution Bodies needed little explanation; their strength relied entirely on their Gene Chains. Espers, on the other hand, depended purely on the genetic lottery. The gap between a lucky genius and an unfortunate weakling was astronomical.

Furthermore, there was the crucial factor of external armor, which led to vast discrepancies in strength even among those of the same grade. After all, in this day and age, one would be too embarrassed to traverse the interstellar space without a decent set of armor.

Therefore, Claptrap could only offer the baseline estimation that he would not be in life-threatening danger.

Mo Duo's condition remained exactly the same—neither improving nor deteriorating. The mysterious bead seemed to have completely vanished, making it impossible for Li Yu to even attempt a conversation with it.

This matter could not be rushed. Li Yu still had no idea what the bead's true objective was. Whether returning to Blazing Eye Star would save Mo Duo or doom her was impossible to say.

Their spaceship was transported directly to a warehouse within the Inuit Hub. They did not even step off the ship during the transit.

The warehouse was extraordinarily massive, privately contracted and divided into numerous small rooms. Who knew what kind of shady work was happening inside them.

Buzz—

The cabin hatch opened, and a heavily made-up interstellar human gave Li Yu a massive fright. This person wore a traditional Amethyst mini-skirt, revealing thick, muscular thighs with every single strand of leg hair distinctly visible.

Li Yu's mouth twitched violently. He never would have guessed, even if beaten to death, that the infamous Major Snakehead would be someone like this.

"My, what a handsome little guy! No wonder Zeth is so willing to follow you into danger," the person giggled, covering their mouth. They were surrounded by interstellar bodyguards of various species.

The amount of implied information in that sentence was staggering. Li Yu's face darkened as he shot a sidelong glance at Hunter.

Hunter's expression was equally foul. He growled, "Mangu... stop embarrassing yourself in front of outsiders."

"I know, I know..." Mangu giggled coquettishly, their mustache poking through the gaps between their fingers.

'What kind of demonic existence is this? This thing actually managed to become a captain in Augu?'

'Could it be that the real reason Augu was disbanded was because the Star Glory Empire ordered Augustus to eliminate this stain on the empire's image, and he refused?'

While Li Yu's imagination ran wild, Mangu openly checked Hunter out, making Hunter's skin crawl. He snapped coldly, "Hurry up and collect the genetic signatures. We have urgent business."

"I prepared them ages ago..." Mangu clapped their hands, and several staff members walked out carrying comprehensive equipment.

Among them was a Young Lady, specifically brought in for Mo Duo. Li Yu was quite surprised that Mangu could actually be so considerate.

By collecting their genetic signatures and running them through a disguise algorithm, Mangu could leverage their extensive connections to forge completely new identities for them.

"Huh? Why is there an extra person?" Mangu looked at Kansa, who had just been pushed forward, a perplexed expression crossing their face. "And why does he look a little familiar..."

Kansa offered an awkward smile, completely clueless about the current situation.

Mangu activated their Smart Terminal, projecting a holographic feed. "...Amethyst Express News reports... Recently, Prince Saster clashed violently with the Morcasa Civilization..."

The broadcaster was a stunning Amethyst woman speaking in flawless Amethyst dialect. "It is reported that the incident originated when His Highness Kansa was attacked in Morcasa. Desperate to save him, Prince Saster took direct action against Morcasa."

"This conflict resulted in severe devastation to Morcasa Prime, causing immense casualties among the Morcasa people."

"Shortly afterward, several Marauder groups plundered the remaining ruins of Morcasa. Prince Saster has publicly expressed his deep remorse and offered his sincere apologies to the innocent Morcasa citizens."

"Furthermore, the current whereabouts and survival of His Highness Kansa remain unknown... Given his notorious womanizing, the Imperial Family's Private Life has been heavily criticized for quite some time..."

There was no mention of Dark Star. No mention of the Amethyst Core. Everything critical had been entirely swept under the rug. Consequently, the Amethyst Civilization's official news release caused hardly a ripple in the broader galactic community.

In fact, it caused less of a stir within the Amethyst Civilization than Kansa's usual Gossip News.

Mangu had no interest in listening to the rest of the scandalous rumors. They stared directly at Kansa, their expression turning increasingly eccentric. "His Highness... Kansa?"

Kansa nodded cautiously, choosing not to say another word.

"Ohoho..." Mangu suddenly burst into laughter. Glancing around the room, a chilling smile crept across their face. "Everyone, I absolutely do not want this news leaking out, so make sure you keep your lips tightly sealed."

The surrounding staff members collectively shivered, immediately lowering their heads in terrified silence. It was a stark demonstration of Mangu's absolute authority over them.

Yet, one had to wonder—exactly where did this intimidating authority stem from?

Li Yu scrolled through the Black Hole Network. Hardly anyone there paid the incident any mind either. After all, Morcasa was far too insignificant; ninety-nine percent of the galaxy had never even heard of the civilization, so why would they care?

"The genetic signatures have been fully collected..." one of the staff members reported, their voice trembling slightly.

"Then get back to work. Set them up as Amethyst Citizens with accompanying interstellar transit visas," Mangu ordered.

"Thank you for the help..." Li Yu nodded.

"Oh, you do not need to thank me..." Mangu winked coquettishly at Li Yu, sending a visceral shudder down his spine.

Swinging their hips dramatically, Mangu turned and walked toward the depths of the warehouse. "If it were not for you, who knows when I would have finally gotten to see my darling Zeth again."

Hunter stood perfectly still, refusing to move an inch. Li Yu simply followed Mangu on his own.

Hunter had zero desire to tag along, but unfortunately... the surrounding bodyguards closed in, forcibly hauling Hunter along while he cursed at them non-stop.

"The identities are not difficult, but an Admission Protocol for the ship is a massive headache. I cannot get my hands on one," Mangu said, closing the door. They clamped a Cigar between their teeth and began puffing out thick clouds of smoke.

Certain critical administrative planets within the Star Glory Empire strictly required a ship Admission Protocol to enter. It was a constantly updated access clearance that was virtually impossible to counterfeit.

"That is fine..." Li Yu shook his head.

The Blazing Eye Star was an exceedingly unique case anyway. Even with an official Admission Protocol, they likely still would not be able to just fly right in.

The Office looked rather sparse, simply sectioned off by bare metal walls. Several group photos sat on the table. The people in the pictures were dressed in fleet uniforms. Li Yu spotted Mor among them; he looked incredibly young back then.

"Sigh... those were such wonderful times..." Mangu picked up one of the photos from the table. It was a picture of a cold, stern-faced woman standing next to an incredibly handsome, radiantly smiling man.

"Look how close we were back then."

Li Yu: "??"

'Miss... uh... or Mister, do the people in this photo have absolutely anything to do with the two of you?'

Li Yu glanced over at Hunter, then looked back at the handsome man in the photo who was smiling like a blooming chrysanthemum. Was there a connection? Did they resemble each other? Perhaps there was a faint resemblance?

'So he already had the early warning signs of a balding head even back then. But how on earth does that woman connect to you?'

The wild turbulence of Li Yu's inner thoughts far surpassed the intensity of his fierce battle with Yu Jin. However, since the other party had just helped him out, he forced himself to maintain a placid exterior.

Hunter cast a scathing glance at the outwardly nonchalant Li Yu. He knew perfectly well that this little bastard was viciously roasting them in his head, and had probably even secretly started a recording.

"That is all in the past," Hunter stated, his expression freezing over. "Hurry up and finish forging the identities. Our presence here will only bring you trouble."

"Ohoho..." Mangu giggled, covering their mouth as cigar smoke wafted through their fingers. "Boss Zeth is always so considerate. Do not worry... absolutely no one knows your true identities."

"The only annoying variable is that Kansa out there. If it comes down to it, we can just kill him."

"He is not your trophy to kill. If you want him dead, you will have to ask the kid standing next to me if he agrees," Hunter immediately instigated.

Li Yu's expression remained neutral as he calmly replied, "Since Your Excellency Mangu has done us such a tremendous favor, I am more than happy to gift Kansa to you."

"Ohoho..." Mangu's face instantly bloomed into a radiant smile. "What a wonderful young man. If I had met you when I was younger, Zeth would never have stood a chance..."

The sheer volume of horrifying implications in that statement caused countless dreadful theories to flash through Li Yu's mind.

"You two take your time and catch up..." Li Yu firmly decided to leave the room at once, desperate to avoid conjuring any more unspeakable mental images.

Ignoring Hunter's frantic, pleading signals, Li Yu stood up, walked out, and very thoughtfully pulled the door shut behind him.

He shook his head, unable to help but lament the absolute chaos of their social circles.

Outside the spaceship, Kansa was still waiting. The temptation to seize the chance to escape had indeed bubbled up in his mind, but after pondering it repeatedly, he suppressed the urge.

He knew that if he failed, he possessed absolutely zero leverage to convince Li Yu to spare his life a second time.
