Chapter 37: Green Title - Wanted Person - Gold

Since there were no inherent problems with the Gene Chain itself, the Tyron Chamber of Commerce refused to issue a refund. Li Yu had no other choice but to bite the bullet and inspect the goods.

Accompanied by the hum, the smooth surface of the silver-white metal crate suddenly split open, revealing several crevices that emitted a faint luminescence.

Through those crevices, white mist drifted out, carrying a trace of chill.

The silver-white crate slowly opened. Its metallic surface unfolded layer by layer, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. Even Hunter sneaked over for a look.

Amidst the pale blue luminescence, a metal syringe as thick as a toddler's arm emerged. Its surface was exceptionally smooth, and through several transparent glass sections, the brown liquid inside could be clearly seen.

"Esteemed guest, this Gene Chain utilizes the Tyron Chamber of Commerce's most advanced gene extraction technology. Combined with the gene fusion fluid, it allows you to effortlessly fuse the gene chain without ever leaving your home."

He gave a brief introduction and finally took out the metal syringe to show Li Yu.

Subsequently, he removed the stopper and took out a square instrument that came included within the metal crate.

He slowly squeezed out a single drop onto the instrument.

"Beep! Solubility: 1.5 percent."

The deliveryman breathed a sigh of relief and explained with a smile, "A solubility within five percent is considered normal wear and tear; it will not affect the outcome."

Finally, he uttered the words Li Yu least wanted to hear: "Esteemed guest, after inspection, there are absolutely no issues with the Gene Chain. We welcome your next purchase."

He walked away breezily, leaving behind a heartbroken Li Yu experiencing phantom chest pains.

That was the hard-earned blood money painstakingly saved up by his brother, Third Fatty. Half a million, just gone like that.

"Why did you buy an E-rank Gene Chain? Do you still need it?" Hunter repeated Mo Duo's question.

"If I said I bought this for Mo Duo, would you believe it?" Li Yu asked in return.

Hunter paused, pulled down the brim of his hat, and nodded solemnly. "I believe it!"

As expected, the power of love was terrifying.

Now Li Yu was completely bewildered. Hunter was acting completely crazy.

Mo Duo was utterly exasperated. Sensing the bizarre, turbulent emotions rolling off Hunter, she wanted nothing more than to shoot him dead on the spot.

"Baffling..." Li Yu was speechless. Clutching the syringe, he returned to his own room.

"You are not going over?" Hunter asked Mo Duo, feeling rather bitter.

'Mo Duo has successfully clung to a strong backer, but what about me? Sigh...'

"If you keep having these ridiculous thoughts, I will kill you..." Mo Duo said, gnashing her teeth.

Hunter was slightly taken aback and shot Mo Duo a suspicious look. "What thoughts? You know what I'm thinking?"

Mo Duo was slightly startled. She had been so furious just now that she actually let it slip. She gave Hunter a cold look and snapped, "I can see it right on your wretched face."

"Hey, why are you resorting to personal attacks..." Hunter immediately grew dissatisfied. Even if she was Li Yu's woman, she could not just insult him like this.

Mo Duo's chest heaved up and down. She could not be bothered to deal with this old geezer.

Inside the room, Li Yu gripped the metal syringe and slowly injected it into his body.

The gene fusion fluid allowed the foreign genes to merge with the host's original genes.

The gene nutrient fluid helped the foreign genes achieve initial stability.

A single injection could complete the gene chain fusion process, which was exactly why this item was so incredibly expensive.

As the freezing metallic liquid was slowly pushed in, Li Yu felt his heartbeat begin to steadily accelerate. A faint pain radiated from every corner of his body.

The syringe fell to the floor. Li Yu lay on the bed, his entire body turning a bloody red, the rapid pounding of his heart clearly audible.

"Day Three: A peaceful day. You stood outside the car and watched Kyle and Sarah rock the vehicle. You felt absolutely no emotional fluctuations inside."

Li Yu felt that the personality of his Second Clone was completely different from that of Clone One.

"Day Four: You inexplicably ended up on MG's wanted order. All the police are currently tracking you down. You know this is the T-800's doing."

"Acquired Green Title - Wanted Person - Gold. Do you wish to extract?"

"Day Five: You fled for your lives under heavy firepower. You killed a large number of police officers. Kyle and Sarah were quite critical of you, but they did not snap."

"Acquired Green Title - Order Disruptor. Do you wish to extract?"

"Day Six: MG mobilized the military, multiplying their firepower by several levels. Kyle believes that if you had not killed the police, MG would never have deployed the army.
