Chapter 159: Strange Impact Sound
"This was all that fat woman's idea; it has nothing to do with us!"
Sensing the murderous intent in Jiang Cheng's eyes, the man was so frightened his bladder threatened to burst.
"All that fat woman's idea?"
Jiang Cheng let out a cold laugh.
"This matter, you haven't done it for the first time, have you?"
The man's gaze instantly darted away.
"What is that woman's name? Does she know where she lives? Who else is in her family?"
Hearing this barrage of questions, the man was first stunned, then delighted.
Damn it, it's all that dead fat woman's fault! If it weren't for her, they wouldn't have been approached by this person.
"Got it! Got it!"
He nodded hurriedly, "I said, can you let us go?"
"Huh?"
Jiang Cheng's eyes turned cold.
"I said, I said!"
The man, both fearful and resentful, said, "That dead fat woman is named Zhang Hong, lives in Jinxiu Residential Area Building 3, Apartment 302, and she also has a son."
"Oh? How old is her son? What does he do? Do they usually live together?"
"No."
The man gritted his teeth: "Her son is the manager of the Oken Club, very powerful, and the women we capture are all sent to him. Most of the money we get goes to that dead fat woman; the two of us brothers can only keep a little hard‑earned cash."
"Oken Club."
Jiang Cheng muttered the name.
"Yeah, Oken Club is one of the most luxurious clubs in the Outer City District; you have to spend at least several thousand, even tens of thousands, just to get in."
"The people you send there must be miserable, right?"
"How could they be?"
The man smiled flattery, "They feast and drink in the club, a hundred times better than staying home; many want to get in, but the place looks down on them."
"Is that so?"
Jiang Cheng reached for the trigger, intending to execute the opponent on the spot.
Going in to feast and drink? Probably only death gives a chance to get out.
"Sir, I've told you everything I know; this really has nothing to do with us. If you're looking for someone, you should go after that dead fat woman—it's all her idea!"
The man said bitterly.
Jiang Cheng slapped the opponent, rendering him dizzy.
Then he woke the one who had previously fainted.
"You damn it! Sir, spare me, spare me."
In less than two seconds, the opponent shifted from raging fury to a gentle breeze expression, incredibly smooth.
"Repeat exactly what you said to that red‑clothed woman earlier; your companion already said it. If what you say differs, I'll fire, breaking one of your legs," Jiang Cheng said expressionlessly.
The man glanced at the brother on the ground, sighing inwardly.
He dared not hide any more and answered all of Jiang Cheng's questions.
His answers were much the same as the previous man's.
"Sir, this all was ordered by that fat woman. We didn't want to cooperate, but her son has connections; we dare not offend him. Sir, please, let us go."
"If I let you go, what if you harm others again?"
"It won't happen, it won't," the man said, as if seeing a glimmer of hope, "I swear to Heaven, if I ever harm anyone again, may I be struck down by thunder and lightning and meet a terrible death!"
As soon as the words finished, Jiang Cheng grabbed his head and Smash it onto the ground.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A muffled thud, accompanied by a chilling bone‑cracking sound.
Half of the man's skull caved in, his eyes bulging open.
"Rather than let the heavens strike you dead, I'll do it myself," Jiang Cheng said, then moved to another man and did the same. It's not that he didn't want to execute the two with bullets.
It's because the Dawn Society's rules are there.
Including Staff Method, he should best not use it.
Of course, if he were truly discovered, he would have something to say; after all, these people are about to target his family, yet he pretends nothing happened—does that make sense?
Having dealt with the two, Jiang Cheng walked around the room once more.
Mainly to see if any fish slipped through the net.
As for money, he had already searched the two and found only a few dozen coins; even that amount he didn't care about.
At that moment, a crash sounded inside, as if someone was pounding on a door.
Jiang Cheng was startled, gripped his Handgun, and listened closely.
After circling, he found the sound seemed to come from the bedroom on the east side.
However, in the bedroom there was only one door, and it was open.
Jiang Cheng softened his footsteps, listened for a while, and realized the sound seemed to come from behind the cabinet.
He cautiously opened the cabinet door and saw another door inside, locked.
That door was now shaking continuously, with a crash coming from behind it.
"Is anyone inside?"
Jiang Cheng asked, repeating the question several times; only then did the crash stop, followed by a whimper, as if the person inside had their mouth blocked and couldn't speak.
Jiang Cheng took a deep breath, and a conjecture formed in his mind.
He walked back to the two corpses, and took a set of keys from one of them.
After trying them, he finally found the one that opened the lock.
"Clack!"
With a light sound, the lock opened.
Jiang Cheng tossed the lock aside, stepped back two paces, and slowly opened the door, a foul stench hit his nose.
Even with a mask on, he could sense the extremely complex, indescribable odor.
Yet the scene that followed chilled him to the bone.
He saw two naked women standing behind the door, looking at him, continuously emitting whimpering sounds, tears streaming from their eyes like a broken dam.
Their mouths were stuffed with cloth bundles, their hands bound behind them, and they wore shackles on their feet.
Though naked, they possessed no beauty at all; they were emaciated, almost nothing but skin and bones.
At this point, the identities of the two women became clear.
They must have been abducted from there, imprisoned in a dark basement, serving as tools for perverse pleasure.
Jiang Cheng thought to himself that it was a stroke of luck.
Fortunately, after he killed the two men and lingered in the room, the women were clever enough to know that striking the door would make a sound; otherwise, unless one became a Spiritual Thought Master, they would truly be undiscoverable.
"Wuwu, wuwu."
After adapting to the outside light, the two women knelt one after another, kowtowed to Jiang Cheng, even bleeding from their heads without noticing.
"Get up, I only happened to rescue you."
Jiang Cheng signaled them not to move and pulled the cloth bundles from their mouths.
"Thank you! Thank you!"
The two women wailed and sobbed loudly.
They had thought they no longer had a chance to see daylight again, perhaps one day they would die in this basement.
But Wan Wan never imagined that, in their despair, Hope arrived silently.
"Come on, get up. I'll unlock your handcuffs and shackles. Do you still remember where your home is?"
The two women nodded repeatedly.
They were eager to go back immediately and reunite with their families.
