Chapter 117

Lin Chen and Xia Nuan drove the armored vehicle back to Sky Villa, just moved the gasoline barrels and medical boxes from the car into the storage room, and the villa's communicator rang again.

Lin Chen pressed the answer button, and the voice of the Chengxi survivors from before came from inside,

"Lin Chen,

it's bad!

We just left the abandoned hospital and encountered a group of mutant wolves, they followed our car over, now they are near the villa, you guys quickly think of a way!"

Lin Chen's expression changed,

immediately asked the system: "System, detect the number and position of the mutant wolves around the villa, are there any threats?" 【Detected 12 mutant wolves 500 meters east of the villa, moving toward the villa, body size is relatively large, speed is fast, no other accompanying dangerous targets.】 The system replied. "You tell them in the communicator, don't get close to the villa, run to the abandoned factory in the north, we will go and lure the mutant wolves away." After Lin Chen finished speaking to the communicator, he grabbed the Purple Lightning Purification Gun and said to Xia Nuan: "You stay in the villa and activate the defense system, I will go and lure the mutant wolves to another place to solve them."

Xia Nuan nodded, quickly ran to the console: "You be careful, I will activate the automatic defense turrets,

if the situation is not right, I will fire to support you." Lin Chen gave a hum, pushed open the villa's back door,

and ran toward the east side. Not long after running out, he saw more than a dozen black shadows moving quickly on the snow in the distance, which were exactly the mutant wolves. They saw Lin Chen,

immediately let out a low hiss and accelerated to pounce over.

Lin Chen didn't fight head-on, turned and ran toward the abandoned factory in the north,

at the same time asked the system: "System, is there any terrain in the abandoned factory that can be used? Like narrow passages or high places?" 【There is an abandoned workshop inside the abandoned factory, there is a narrow iron door at the entrance of the workshop, only allowing one mutant wolf to pass through, can use the terrain to kill them one by one.】 The system replied. Lin Chen felt happy, accelerated and rushed into the abandoned factory, heading straight for that workshop.

The mutant wolves followed closely, and also rushed into the factory. Lin Chen ran to the entrance of the workshop,

turned and fired at the mutant wolf rushing at the front, the bullet hit its head,

and the mutant wolf fell to the ground in response. The mutant wolves behind were enraged, pounced over more crazily, but because the iron door was narrow, they could only rush in one by one.

Lin Chen stood behind the door, fired at the head of every mutant wolf rushing in, and in less than ten minutes, solved 8 of them.

The remaining 4 mutant wolves seemed to sense danger, no longer rushed forward, just wandered outside the workshop.

Lin Chen asked the system: "System, is there any way to lure the remaining mutant wolves in? Or solve them in other ways?" 【Can release the smell of a small amount of beef canned food to attract the mutant wolves to approach, already called up canned food from the infinite space, releasing the smell.】 The system replied. Soon, the sound of the mutant wolves' commotion came from outside the workshop, they followed the smell and rushed toward the iron door again.

Lin Chen gripped the gun, waited for the first mutant wolf to rush into the iron door, and immediately fired to kill it.

The remaining 3 also rushed in one after another and were solved by Lin Chen one by one. After confirming there were no missing mutant wolves,

Lin Chen asked the system: "System, detect the position of the Chengxi survivors, are they safe?" 【Detected survivors have reached the north side of the abandoned factory, no mutant wolves chasing, temporarily safe.】 The system replied. Lin Chen breathed a sigh of relief, took out the communicator to notify the survivors that they could return to their respective residences, and then dragged his exhausted body back to the villa.

Seeing Lin Chen return, Xia Nuan hurriedly greeted him: "Solved? Are you injured?

" Lin Chen shook his head, sat on the sofa: "All solved, not injured.

It's just that I didn't expect that just after dealing with the supply matter, another wave of mutant wolves came, it's really endless.

" As soon as the voice fell, the villa's surveillance screen suddenly popped up an alarm, Xia Nuan pointed to the screen and said: "Look, there is movement on the west side of the villa again, it seems like the Chengxi survivors from before are back?"

Lin Chen leaned over to look, and there were indeed several survivor cars in the screen, parked on the west side of the villa,

but no one was seen getting out of the car.

He asked the system: "System, detect if the people in these cars are the previous survivors? Are there any abnormalities?" 【Detected the people in the car are Chengxi survivors, totaling 5 people, no abnormalities, but there are 3 mutant bears 500 meters behind the car, moving toward the vehicle.】 The system replied. Lin Chen sighed helplessly: "Mutant creatures again, how come they encounter them wherever they go."

"I'll go with you this time.

" Xia Nuan picked up the sniper rifle, "Two people cooperating is fast, solving it early can also be at ease early.

" Lin Chen didn't object, and the two drove toward the west side together. When approaching the survivors' cars,

Lin Chen saw three huge black shadows on the snow behind the car, which were exactly the mutant bears.

The survivors hid in the car, not daring to come out, and several cracks had already been slapped out on the car windows by the mutant bears.

"You use the sniper rifle to hit the mutant bears' eyes, I'll go to the side and use Absolute Zero to freeze their legs.

" After Lin Chen said to Xia Nuan, he pushed open the car door and rushed out. Xia Nuan set up the sniper rifle,

aimed at the eyes of the mutant bear at the front, and pulled the trigger. The bullet hit the target,

the mutant bear let out a scream, waving its claws crazily. Lin Chen took the opportunity to circle to the side of the mutant bear,

released cold air to freeze its hind legs, the mutant bear lost its balance and fell to the ground.

The other two mutant bears saw their companion fall and pounced toward Lin Chen. Xia Nuan fired again,

hitting the eye of one mutant bear, while Lin Chen froze the front leg of the other. The two cooperated tacitly,

and soon solved all three mutant bears. The survivors came out of the car,

apologized to Lin Chen and Xia Nuan repeatedly: "Sorry, caused you trouble again, we don't know how we encountered mutant creatures again."

Lin Chen waved his hand: "It's okay, you guys hurry and leave here, go to a further safe zone,

don't get close to this area again." The survivors nodded and hurriedly drove away. Lin Chen and Xia Nuan also returned to the villa, just walked into the gate, and heard the system's prompt: 【Detected unknown energy fluctuations 1 kilometer north of the villa, suspected to be the blade-armed giant that appeared before, moving slowly, expected to arrive near the villa in 30 minutes.】

Xia Nuan heard "

blade-armed giant",

her face turned pale instantly: "It's it again, we were almost killed by it last time, what to do this time?

Can our weapons beat it?" Lin Chen clenched his fists and asked the system: "System, does the blade-armed giant have any weaknesses this time?

Is there any way to pierce the body scales detected before?" 【This time detected that the scales on the right shoulder of the blade-armed giant have damage, the damaged part is the weakness, can use the Purple Lightning Purification Gun to shoot the damaged part continuously, or use Absolute Zero to concentrate attack on that position.】 The system replied.

"We won't run this time, we'll wait for it in the villa, use the defense system and weapons to fight it to the death.

" Lin Chen walked to the console and checked the ammunition of the automatic defense turrets with Xia Nuan: "How many shells are left for the automatic defense turrets?

Can it support us until we find its weakness?" 【The automatic defense turrets have 20 shells left, can cause certain damage to the blade-armed giant, cannot kill it directly, need to cooperate with the host's abilities and weapons.】 The system replied.

Just as the two were ready, a heavy sound of footsteps came from outside the villa,

and the ground seemed to be shaking slightly. Lin Chen walked to the window and saw a 4-meter-high black shadow walking toward the villa in the distance, which was exactly the blade-armed giant.

A scale on its right shoulder had indeed fallen off, revealing the dark red skin inside.

"Xia Nuan, you use the sniper rifle to aim at the damaged part of its right shoulder,

I will activate the automatic defense turrets to attract its attention, once it gets close,

I will use Absolute Zero to freeze its body." After Lin Chen finished speaking, he pressed the launch button of the automatic defense turrets.

With a "Boom—", the shell hit the chest of the blade-armed giant, but was bounced off by the scales, leaving only a shallow mark. The blade-armed giant was enraged, accelerated and rushed toward the villa, while waving its blade arms, hacking at the automatic defense turrets on the wall. Xia Nuan seized the opportunity, fired at the damaged part of its right shoulder, the bullet hit the target, the blade-armed giant let out a roar, turned and pounced toward the window where Xia Nuan was.

Lin Chen immediately mobilized his Absolute Zero ability, released cold air toward the body of the blade-armed giant. The cold air instantly wrapped around its lower body, freezing its legs to the ground. "It's now!" Lin Chen picked up the Purple Lightning Purification Gun and fired continuously at the damaged part of the blade-armed giant's right shoulder. The bullets hit the same spot again and again, the blade-armed giant's movements became slower and slower, and finally, after a shrill hiss, it fell to the ground and stopped moving.

Lin Chen and Xia Nuan looked at each other and breathed a sigh of relief. Lin Chen asked the system: "System, confirm if the blade-armed giant is dead? Are there any other dangers?" 【Detected the blade-armed giant's vital signs have disappeared, confirmed dead, no other dangerous targets around the villa.】 The system replied. The two walked to the villa gate, looked at the blade-armed giant lying on the ground, Xia Nuan said with a smile: "Finally solved it, this time we should be able to be stable for a few days, right." Lin Chen nodded, just wanted to speak, the villa's communicator rang again, he pressed the answer button helplessly, and a strange voice came from inside: "Is this Lin Chen? We are survivors from Chengnan, encountered a group of mutant cockroaches, can we ask you to come and help?"
